“Was heading to The Habit Burger for dinner when stumbled across this place and decided to try it out. We ordered the tikkudak garlic soy tenders, Cole slaw and corn cheese. Everything was so good. The wings still maintained some crisp despite the sauce, and the sauce wasn't too overpowering. The Cole slaw was one of the best I've ever had. Corn cheese had maybe onion or some sort of spice cooked along with it that gave it a unique flavor and some dimension. Will be coming back!”

“I ordered a veggie burrito and they suggested to replace the traditional tortilla with this sopapilla dough they are famous for. While it definitely made it difficult to pick up and eat like a regular burrito, the flaky, chewy, and doughy sopapilla bread was definitely a unique twist that was very much appreciated. Closest comparison I can draw is that of a chimichanga. The flavors were there and the accompanying salad and tortilla chips were a welcome addition.”

“Visited on Sunday around 4pm. Not too crowded. Nice, cool air conditioning, especially on an 80° day. Everything was very clean and well organized. Nicely designed with greys and whites with overhead lighting that is just bright enough. Located next to Smart and Final market. Plenty of parking. Fun crew sitting at the sushi bar with others at tables, taking in baseball, basketball, and auto racing on the four 4k screens. Salvador is still the head chef (from Asahi Sushi, at the same location previously). Going on 24 years, now a sushi master. You really need to try the Manogo Salvador roll named after him...sushi gold! His brother, Cesar, is now working alongside him Mon. and Tues. First course: cold, thin sliced seaweed (piled high) salad with house dressing and a mound of spiral daikon (mild white radish) and very thin, dressed spicy crab slices on the side. Water and flavorfull green tea. 2nd: 2 Salmon sashimi hand roll (cone shaped dried sea weed) and 1 tuna sashimi hand roll filled with many marinated bite-size pieces, rice, and a few thin sliced vegetables. Mixed soy sauce and wasabi in a very small dish and used this as a dipping sauce. Needed some more napkins at this point. :-) Hot tea was coming in handy, too! 3rd: 4 shrimp tempura, hot out of the fryer. Shrimp are shaped so they are about 5 inches long. Made more dipping sauce for this! Man, that was good! Drank more tea(asked for reheat) and talked about when we were coming back. Service and food were top-notch. Music was a mix of different eras. It sounded good, just loud enough so you could still conversate. Sorry, no pics. We were hungry! :-) Hope to see you there!”

Akafuji 1450 S Harbor Blvd, La Habra Japanese • $$

“Akafuji is a hidden gem located in a strip mall. While you might not expect much, the interior is modern and simplistic with a clean feel. Almost every seat is at the sushi bar, so you get the full experience when ordering omakase. They do also have some outdoor seatings, so noted if I ever want to bring my pup along with me --huge plus.We ordered the Omakase Special ($50), which came with 8 premium nigiri pieces and a blue crab handroll. To start off, we had a miso soup, salad, and chawanmushi. Then the nigiri came starting with the halibut. The following came in a set of two before finishing off with the seared miso black cod and handroll. Each nigiri was beautifully decorated with the right amount of sauce and toppings that you really didn't even need the soy sauce to go with it. Such an underrated spot --come get their omakase, you won't regret it!”

“Who knew this place existed in La Habra of all cities?! Hi BBQ is delicious, flavorful and reasonably priced. They give you huge portions and we all had leftovers to take home. The chef is also a very sweet lady. I will definitely be back again to try the other items on the menu.”

In-N-Out Burger 1761 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra Hamburger • $

“What can I say, when I crave a hamburger, it is In-N-Out that is on my mind. Period. The double-double is the best. The fries, not so much. While I appreciate the fries are fresh, but once they are no longer hot, they taste like cardboard. I much prefer McDonald's Fries better. Sorry, In-N-Out.”

“OG GOODNESSMy dad used to take me to the OG Tommy’s location as a kid and there’s something so comforting eating one of these well-crafted burgers. The bun was crispy, chili dripping, and cheese melted like it should be. Great quick service and a nice parking lot make this location a great choice.”

“Farmer boys has amazing food. It's delicious, fresh and cooked on order. On the flip side it's super expensive unfortunately which limits my visitations. I can't justify some of the pricing when you can go else where and get more food for less. But it is tasty!”

Burger King 2101 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra Fast Food • $

“I've been coming to Burger King since I can remember. The home of the whooper and I've ate so many of them thru my life and even now but like I've stated fast foods needs to be eaten in moderation. The service was courteous and friendly and we had our meal in no time. We had a whopper meal and a chicken sandwich meal .There is a lot of new items on the menu They have icy drinks cherry ,Coke and others. I like these drinks. This Burger King is in La Habra it's roomy ,they have plenty of tables to sit down to enjoy your meal. It also has kids table and chairs. The playground is closed at the moment for repairs I believe. There's plenty of parking with a handicap stalls at the front entrance.”

“Alright, so I was hoping there was somewhere near my work that sold breakfast burritos pepe's has all day breakfast! I got the sausage breakfast burrito and I'll get straight to it. Food came out in a timely manner. I'll give the breakfast burrito a 7.5/10. I'll probably get this again but it definitely had too much beans. Not the best burrito I've had but it's still a decent bite to eat.”

Taco Bell 1300 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra Fast Food • $

“With all fairness, I have to say Taco Bell sin't my first choice for eating out and when I do eat here, it's aways the chalupa. I've had the greasy little donuts once and never ordered those again. This location in particular has a drive through that's uncomfortable for its employees and patrons. The drive-through speaker is in the path of the entrance to the park and to a private property, often you'll have 3 cars trying to get through. The drive-through window is set far from the drive-up forcing the staff to reach out their hands and sometimes hang half their body out the window. The service is as expected, nothing extra or special. The food is okay.Parking: lots of spaces and shared with the park”

Lots of tables and chairs for indoor dining and service was courteous and friendly. El Pollo Loco 1171 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra Mexican • $

“This Pollo Loco has always been my favorite and continues to surpass expectations! I always go through the drive thru and my order is not only always right, the staff is also so friendly and polite! They even engage my children while they try to talk their ear off ? they always have a smile on their face and are extremely kind. Also the chicken is always juicy and fresh not overcooked like I’ve found at other locations.Kid-friendliness: You know the struggle of trying to order if you’re a parent, your kids are all trying to talk over you and talk to the staff etc. even more so if you have multiples ? their staff is always so kind and engaging with them!”

Jack In The Box 1231 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra Fast Food • $

“We were craving the mini tacos so we dined in at this location which may be in La Habra. It wasn’t crowded on a Tuesday in the late morning around 11:00 but did get more sun crowded as it got closer to 12:00. Placing our order went pretty quick but the staff member got distracted by a complaining drive thru customer who came in that I had to remind him about finishing our order. The drink machine wasn’t on so the staff had to get customers their drinks from behind the counter. Once we got our order, the tacos hit the spot and we enjoyed the food.”

“Wheelchair accessibility: There is only one wheelchair/Van accessible space, and be aware that the shop is tiny as it is, the turn to get into the store is very tight off the ramp, and the door is relatively narrow, but a wheelchair, my standard wheelchair does fit through the door, and I'm the one pushing.”

Imperial Burgers 241 E Imperial Hwy, La Habra Hamburger • $

“Ordered Pastrami Sandwich. The pastrami was juicy, however maybe a nicer bun would add a bit more flavor contrast to the meal. Ordered a side dish of onion rings which was mostly batter. Also fact they charge extra for ranch for the onion rings is a bit extra. Atmosphere is small and maybe could use some renovation, however staff was nice.”

“The food was better than expected and I will return for the food alone. They had food items on the menu that other MC locations do not. My favorite; artichoke mushroom chicken dinner is not on the MC orange location so I will drive the extra 25 minutes to come here. The size of their muffins are oddly huge. We had banana cream, lemon and peach pie. The crust on the lemon and banana cream were burnt but the filling was good. Peach pie was good.Service was extremely friendly but slow. Maybe they aren’t scheduling staff appropriately bc my otherwise great waitress was helping tables on opposite sides of the building. I had to walk up to the cashier area to ask for napkins, a coffee refill, and our check. Not great but they were quick to respond after I walked up to ask each time.Dietary restrictions: I wished all MC locations had Gluten Free food options on the menu but they don’t. I’ve asked all MC locations and they say no they don’t.Kid-friendliness: I’ve been here twice and both times they were so good and friendly with my boys who ask a lot of unnecessary questions. One time I arrived slightly after closing and they graciously let me buy a pie. The Orange MC location refused me service 5 minutes after closing even for a whole pie.”

There were only a few people inside, but it was nice for us after having been in a noisy crowded place earlier. The music was at a nice volume, with a great 70' to 80's Playlist. Shotz Bar & Kitchen 1500 E La Habra Blvd, La Habra Bar & Grill • $

“Where do I begin. The bartenders, such kind people. The owners, I had the pleasure of meeting them and they were such a pleasure. The atmosphere is great, the artwork on the walls is nice, well lit outside area with TVs and space heaters so you can have a smoke with your drink, and the spacing of the tables from the pool tables. Was perfect And there's pool tables! Not one or two, enough for there to be competitive and friendly games going on at the same time. They're kept in good condition, proper size. And the patrons are always keeping the juke Jams flowing... 5 stars, 11/10 would recommend.”

Akafuji
