“Always have such a great experience here, figured it was time I leave a review. Spoiler, it's fantastic.I like everything about this place from the food, the exterior and interior English cottage design, and surrounding views of Orange County but I'll highlight the service today. Entire staff is so amiable and conscientious of you and your party's needs. It really puts it over the top to make it a positive dining experience. It's a delight to not have an exhaustive menu but all you need to know is you can't go wrong with the vegetarian risotto, the prime rib (which comes with creamed corn and spinach), and the delicious bread pudding.”

I felt like I was transported back to another ramen place I've visited a few years ago where they made the ramen fresh. Fill Bakeshop 1927 W Malvern Ave, Fullerton Bakery • $$

“I'm not typically a donut person, but during a visit to Costa Mesa (a while ago), a friend insisted I try Fill Bakeshop, and I'm incredibly glad I took their advice. Tucked away in Orange County, this bakeshop was a delightful surprise that challenged all my previous notions about donuts. Even though they've since moved to Fullerton, my experience in their Costa Mesa location left a lasting impression. From the moment I walked through the door, I was enveloped by the enticing aroma of fresh pastries—a true feast for the senses. The menu boasted an array of unique flavors and offerings, far beyond the scope of any ordinary donut shop. After some thought, I chose several of their signature mochi donuts. These weren't just ordinary donuts; they were extraordinary. Each donut offered a perfect mix of chewiness and softness, with flavors that were both innovative and impeccably balanced. But the excellence didn't stop at the donuts. Their drinks menu was just as remarkable, with a variety of coffee and tea selections that perfectly complemented the pastries. I indulged in a matcha latte, which was flawlessly prepared—sweet, yet with a depth of earthy matcha flavor. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, eagerly offering recommendations and sharing their personal favorites. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the shop made it an ideal spot for enjoying a morning treat or an afternoon snack. For those who find themselves in Orange County, seeking out Fill Bakeshop is a must, regardless of their current Fullerton location. Even if you don't consider yourself a donut enthusiast, there's something at Fill's that will captivate your taste buds. Their innovative take on traditional pastries, coupled with a commitment to quality, shines through with every bite.”

The service is also fantastic; they frequently bring out little extras to taste which is a lovely way to expand our palates. It is frequently very busy so show up early if you're not getting that out. Also, the kitchen extractor fans are insufficient; your clothes will smell like fried oil after dining in.Vegetarian options: The vegan Inferno Roll is my favorite but all of their vegan options are amazing. Noodle St. 2323 E Chapman Ave Ste B, Fullerton Asian • $

“These fresh hand-pulled noodles live up to their hype-- THICC, chewy, bouncy, slurpy heaven; let me tell ya about it ! We FINALLY were able to stop by Noodle St. for a late lunch Saturday afternoon after having bookmarked them for years ! We are huge fans of The Magic Noodle in Vegas and haven't quite found anything closer to home comparable to them.. until now !! Parking lot is huge and shared between a few other businesses and we had no trouble finding a spot . We were greeted right away by the hostess, which also happens to be our waitress-- she offered a table inside the restaurant which was about 80% full, but we opted to sit outside, OF COURSE (: --It was a gorgeous slightly-sunny day and there were about 5 tables outside with only one other table occupied . I took a look at the menu and honestly wanted to order one of everything lol-- Here's what we ate: POTATO STRING SHRIMP (5 pieces): literally like shoestring fries wrapped around shrimp ! Cwispy exterior, chewy potatoe middle, then shrimp in the center-- basic, yet such a unique and fun bite . Shrimp could've been more plump or serving could've been more plentiful . Served with a sweet and sour sauce which was mediocre compared to the actual appetizer-- Ask for the chili oil tray to spice things up ! 6.5/10 BONE-IN RIB RICE NOODLE SOUP: We opted for the triangle cut noodles for this entree and it was like one super, SUPERRR long noodle in the soup which made it such an exciting slurp and bite . This was a flavorful pho broth which really hit the spot . Served steaming hot and garnished with herbs with two massive meaty bones-- we definitely got our gnawing on lol; the meat was tender and fall off the bone. Highly recommend !! 10/10 JAPANESE MISO NOODLE SOUP: This was a play on ramen soup which turned out to be just okay to me. The broth was a little underwhelming compared to the bone-in rib soup . We also got the triangle cut noodles for this entree . I did like the thinly sliced char sui . Egg could've been more jammy-- it was hard boiled . If you're looking for a more plain broth, I'd get this one . 5/10 BEEF STIR FRY NOODLES: we added shrimp to this entree for an additional $4 because we wanted some surf and turf action and it did not disappoint ! I opted for knife cut noodles and it has to be my fav-- irregular strands of thick, chewy, and bouncy noodles -- so heavenly ! The flavor in this stir fry was smokey, savory, slightly gingery, umami and the vegetables paired all well-- reminded me of chow fun sauce . Love the use of kale, onions, and bell peppers . Mushrooms would've knocked this one out of the park !! Highly recommend 10/10 . Overall, we had an excellent experience . Our waitress was wonderful, clean environment, and food came out really quick and delicious for being so busy . We definitely will be regulars from here on out . I need to be back to try everything else on the menu next time-- particularly the spicy beef noodle soup because that's what I would've ordered if I had brought my Tums lol”

“I was in town for a couple of nights and had the pleasure of going here for dinner. Lovely atmosphere with friendly and attentive wait staff. It was a Sunday evening, so it wasn't terribly busy. There was only about a 20 minute wait or so, and it went faster than that. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate. Each meal comes with salad and dessert treat (either a scoop of spumoni or vanilla ice cream) with the largest decision being what kind of pasta and sauces you want. There are a few things outside of just spaghetti to get, like fettuccine, lasagna, etc. but the simplicity of the menu is a strength and it all fits on one page. This isn't the Cheesecake Factory.I had the salad with balsamic vinaigrette, spaghetti with meat sauce, and some spumoni. Each is served separately as courses with a small loaf of freshly warmed bread to share at the table. It was delightful. Coupled with a Black Manhattan (one of a number of classic cocktails they offer), and it was simply a well thought out meal that satisfied, not stuffed. The portions of food seemed to be intentionally aiming to be "just enough," as opposed to a massive plate full of food you have to pack up with you for later. The salads and soups were enough to whet the appetites, there was a very manageable amount of pasta for the main course (no one felt the need to save some for later) and the single (generous) scoop does a lot to polish the meal off nicely.A wonderful experience all around. Next time I'm in town, I'll certainly be coming back.”

“Loved it! I used the drive thru which is convenient for those with disabilies. Located off harbor/ Imperial hwy in La Habra. I ordered the double Angus burger. I havent had meat in months. WoW. The brioche bun was a pleasant addition to it. It was approx $9 but was worth every mouthful, I was not disappointed. My mouth is watering as i text. The staff here are very energetic and nice ??. I also support smaller burger places, but I knew exactly what I wanted and went for it. The menu is very diverse since I remembered pre Kvd. $-$$ I highly recommend this Carl's Junior!!”

“food was great, I had the boss this time. interesting thing, the sign says "chips or 2 cookies + drink = $3.40. I had chips and we asked for the 2 cookies for another meal. we were told that you can't have 2 cookies as we were charged for the chips. turns out cookies are $1 each and chips are $1.89. which is fine. but the way the sign is clearly worded, chips or 2 cookies + drink = $3.40, implying they are equal.”

“Normally a decent spot for breakfast on the go. If you're not rushed: the breakfast deluxe is way too good. Prices rising slowly but surely, therefor I'll frequent less but the pancakes are sometimes a crave. The location indoors is nice, but the outside lot is horrible and obviously doesn't get the much needed attention e.g. moolah.”

“My new go-to for boba, and the desserts here are a plus. The Oreo cheesecake dessert is not a traditional American cheesecake - it's more like a Japanese cheesecake that is airy and fluffy. I haven't tried the other flavors yet because I'm obsessed with the Oreo one! The first time I went here in-person, I was having a really bad day and came here after work as a pick-me-up. I was pleasantly surprised at the claw machines in the back, and the interior decor and furniture are very modern and aesthetically pleasing. I was able to win a stuffed dog from the claw machines which helped me feel a lot better - it's such a small win but it made my day. Each play is 1 token, which is $1. The token converter is right next to the claw machines. The drinks here are fairly sweet, I'd recommend reducing the sweetness level on any brulee milk tea drink. I usually get the cookies & cream milk tea (previously called Oreo brulee, I think) with boba. The boba is always fresh, and a perfect texture and consistency. The brulee makes the milk tea so much more creamy, which I enjoy. Parking in this plaza is always abundant and easy. This plaza is usually never too crowded - a plus for me.”

“Fish Taco Wednesdays, yes please! Their battered fish tacos are very decently sized and at a discounted price, they're even more yummy! The toppings of cabbage and pico de gallo is generous enough without making the battery soggy. Be sure to ask for more crema on the side, everything is so delicious. The potato tacos are also a good choice (but I don't think they have a discounted price on this one). Prices are decent, credit cards are accepted and there's plenty of parking.”

“I stopped by this this AYCE sushi spot located in the Metrocenter in Fullerton. There is plenty of parking, although when it is busy there are plenty of nearby businesses that are packed. The inside seats about 50 at a time I would say. I saw that they were doing a $20 AYCE lunch happy hour special from 12-3 so I decided to stop by. The menu excludes nigiri/premium items but the rest of the menu was available for eat. I tempered my expectations since it was such a good price and braced for what I thought would be a subpar sushi experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rolls I got while simple, were certainly enjoyable. I got the Giant salmon roll, alaska roll, and baked salmon roll (are you seeing a trend here?). The giant salmon roll has a little bit of a spicy sauce drizzled on top which made it the perfect bite. The Alaska roll was solid as well and tasted fresh. The baked salmon roll was tasty but they go a little heavy on the sauce which makes it a tad overwhelming. While we did have to wait a bit due to the line forming outside, the servers were attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall a pretty satisfactory AYCE sushi experience. I would want to stop by again to indulge in this special.”

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. 229 E Commonwealth Ave E, Fullerton Coffee Shops • $

“I visited this coffee shop upon a recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint me. They have a wide selection of Yemeni Coffee and tea varieties. As I like milkier coffees I went with the Mufawaar which exhibited Arabic flavors in a creamier form. The taste was unique and delicious. Also the Pistachio cake was delicious. It was moist and not to sweet. Definitely a place I will come back to try more from.”

Ubenabon 3519 W Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton Bakery • $$

“We first stumbled upon Ubenabon at Ube Festival in Lomita. I didn't follow directions on how to assemble so it was just an ok ube cinnamon roll. Second time trying it was at Foodieland and this time it was perfect. We got the Ube Overload. It was warm and the right amount of frosting and toppings covered the Ube roll. Delicious! I ordered a 9 piece Ube overload to bring to our family Christmas party. Only mistake I did was I only ordered 1 coz the whole family fought over it.”

Bundoo Khan 2736 Nutwood Ave Suite A, Fullerton Halal • $$

“Bundoo Khan in Fullerton holds the crown as my top spot for kebabs. It's become a weekly ritual for me to stop by. While they offer sit down dining, my routine is to grab takeout while I'm in the Fullerton area. Here's a tip: allocate at least thirty minutes for pre-ordering, particularly during the bustling weekends. The gola kebab reigns supreme for me with its tenderness and rich, sumptuous flavors. Their secret? A magical marinade and the smokiness imbued from coal cooking, which elevates every dish on their menu. Plus, as an added treat, the owner also brings you 'Scoop Unreal' delights - don't miss out on the faluda ice cream; it's absolutely divine. As welcoming as they are skilled in the kitchen, the owners have also expanded their hospitality up north with a new location in Northern California. Don't hesitate - it comes highly recommended.”

“The yummiest (and so unique) pastries I've ever tried! The pastries seem to be Asian/korean inspired. There were a lot of unique flavors and pastries such as an earl grey cruffin (crossaint/muffin) and I will definitely make the trek to come back. I also really enjoyed the crème brûlée donut mmmm, it was perfectly soft and was filled with cream in the inside. I will definitely be back and am recommending all my friends try this place!”

The Mugs Fullerton 444 N Harbor Blvd Ste 108, Fullerton Coffee Shops • $

“This is a cafe in downtown fullerton that has a variety of different caffeine drinks as well as some teas and breakfast items. I tried their Banana Milk Latte and it was really good. The place is really nice and aesthetically pleasing. It offers a variety of options for lattes and they all seem really good. One suggestion I have for improvement is offering more breakfast items. They don't have a lot and the ones they do have aren't very good. The location is also quite hidden and so is the parking. Overall I think it is a nice cafe that has great lattes.”
