“Best chicken I had in OC!! Hands down best chicken meal! The price is pre covid pricing too. We fed our family of 6 with the whole chicken with salad and steamed veggie sides. We also ordered size of fried rice and pesto spaghetti. We had enough left over for dinner! Also their green sauce is amazing!!! Def. Coming back here!! Also they have happy hour pricing tues.~fri.“
“Really enjoyed my lunch at Vox Kitchen!! I started off with the Thai Green Tea. This drink topped my expectations. It was incredibly delicious and creamy, the sea salt foam was a major plus. For lunch I had the filet mignon garlic noodles. I was very impressed with the dish. The beef was tender and perfectly cooked. The noodles had an amazing sauce and was topped with Parmesan. The flavors were an interesting combo but worked so well together! Lastly, I ordered the Saigon Jito which has salted plum rum infused sake. That alone was something I had to try! The drink was delicious but maybe a bit too sweet. Overall this restaurant delivered. The drinks and food were things I haven’t tried before and were all so good and well prepared. I felt that the price was reasonable considering the large portion of food. The service was quick and attentive, while the restaurant itself is sleek and bright. I highly recommend!!“
“Came with friend, a peruana, and we both enjoyed the food. We ordered (for share) papa huancaina, sopa de gallina, arroz con leche and chicha morada for me. All delicious, excellent and attentive service with reasonable price. Will come again and try other items!“
“Ive only tried lomo saltado at few other popular restaurants.A Friend suggested I try this place. My lomo saltado had soy sauce twist to it, meat was really tender but I think I prefer the regular Lomo Saltado without the soy sauce soaking all my rice as it was bit salty for my taste.I would definitely return to try other dishes.Oh I remember Id normally received those green sauces at other places, I will ask next time.“
“We've been wanting to try this new restaurant and finally came by. I will say you will not regret it. The food is fresh and delicious. Flavors are on point and service is great. Plenty of parking. Ambiance is great. We'll definitely be back to try new plates. Michelada was yummy.“
“Came here for the first time and really enjoyed it. I didn't try any of the Peruvian dishes, but we tried the octopus sushi, grilled octopus, tiradito sampler, one of the specialty rolls and everything was nice. The dining area is clean and roomy, and the staff was nice.Definitely coming back again.“
“The place was clean and well kept. The server was friendly, attentive, service with a smile. The food was fantastic. We were a group of 7. Everyone loved their dish. My only gripe was that everything was very slow. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry. It was not the fault of the staff. Management needs more people. It took a long time for the overwhelmed server to get to us. There were a lot of customers and only one person taking orders and bringing food out. And there was only one cook. Then it took a long time to get our food.“
“First time trying out this new place ever since I used to work across the street at stater bros. I must say, it was definitely worth the try. The owner here is very welcoming & has such a wonderful positive attitude where you don’t see that in most places nowadays. I tried their beef fried rice, it was so delicious & on top of that, he offered me aside of soup with my meal. Recommend to stop by if you’re in the area.“
“Recently moved to Anaheim and have been looking for a good Peruvian restaurant that has pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken). This place has the best pollo a la brasa’s so far and would give it a 5 on food, but it’s sauce isn’t liked by all my family. The pollo a la brasa is juicy, the chicken falls right off the boneI and it was really good seasoning. I also tried the lomo saltado, the meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. Definitely going back to get more pollo a la brasa and try other things in their menu.“
“The most delicious lomo saltado in south Orange County! I have over looked this place for years and I'm so sad about it but so happy I finally came. The service is exceptional as well! You will not regret coming to El Cortijo! I'm excited to try more plates!“
“I wanted to come to this place to try acevichado sushi, I was very disappointed because the taste was not good at all and it didn't taste like acevichado sushi, we also ordered roast chicken with potatoes and chaufa, the taste was too good, the chicken was perfectly cooked, the potatoes golden and perfect, the rice tasted very good, I will definitely return to this place to try that good chicken and other delicious dishes again .the price is quite affordable“
“I love Peruvian food - my usual go to is the lomo saltado, but went with the current special on the saltado de pollo since it would come with a free soup, salad, or side dish. The dish was great. Good flavor, great portions. Came on a Tuesday at 12pm with some coworkers, and there was no wait; almost empty restaurant. Server was friendly, and attentive.Would make it a great lunch spot if the dish was a bit more affordable.. this was one of the cheaper dishes and came out to more than $20 after tip and tax.“
“I always call ahead for pick up and aways got what I ordered- except once.Their prices are a little high but not too many of them so supply and demand reign Supreme.I would recommend trying it out. It's pretty authentic.Vegetarian options: Not too many vegetarian dishes but they accommodated.Parking: Parking lot too small.“
“This place makes such delicious Peruvian food. I order from here on an almost weekly basis. I've ordered The lomo saltado de carne, tallerin saltado de carne, arroz chaufa de carne, arroz chaufa de pollo, and arroz chaufa de marisco. I have enjoyed all of these dishes. I either order the lunch special or a la carte. It all depends on how much food I want. What can I say? Good food is good food. And the price and portions are reasonable. I highly recommend you come here if you want to enjoy good Peruvian food. Oh, and they make it to-order, so the food is always hot and fresh. You never have to wait more than 10 to 15 minutes for your order, even when they're busy.“
“We've been coming here since it was Mario's Peruvian. The food remains the same- great! Their Lomo Saltado is always made with freshly cut potatoes, setting it apart from other places that skip corners by using frozen fries. Go for the lunch specials, and you won't be disappointed!“
“Quality of service: the boy who served us was very attentivePleasant atmosphereThe food: excellent, I was surprised by the anticuchos, delicious, delicious, juicy and soft, and the grilled chicken, excellent and ready.I would give them more than 5 stars. I recommend them 100%The best of Santa AnaWe will return without a doubt“
“Comfort in a bowl of Chicken Pho! My husband's Pad Thai was equally delicious. Generous servings and the wait staff (probably the owners) were friendly and interested in our reactions.I've been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time. Shame on me for missing out. No more of that. Try it, you'll love it!“
“My husband and I had the oxtail pho and oxtail fried rice with grilled ribeye on the side and everything was amazingly very tasty. Definitely coming back to try more on the menu. Service was excellent and staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking isn't a problem. This place definitely is keeper.“
