“It was exactly 2 weeks before my daughter’s quinceanera. I had been considering making her cake but after a lot of stress and agonizing over what to do, I decided to stop into Sugar Mama’s just to see what they had to offer. Within about 10 minutes I was placing an order. The shop is very cute and the staff makes you feel instantly at ease. The order process was fairly straightforward. If anything there are almost too many options for flavors and additional toppings but that’s not a complaint. The day of our event came and the cake was beautiful. They took my inspiration photos and made her a gorgeous cake. It was delicious and reasonably priced too. Overall, we had a great experience with this business and will be back.“

“My friend and I dropped by for some ice cream at around 8 PM on a Friday. It's a pretty small location, and at that time, it was not crowded at all, and the service was quick. On the wall, it said 6.99 for a small, but it seems like we were charged around 5.99 instead ( which is still expensive, in my opinion, but I suppose that's the state of our economy. It's better than paying 7 bucks at least ^_^ ). There are a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. I got the cheesecake flavor with graham crackers. It was a good combination. There's outdoor seating available in this area. Overall, it's a good place for a quick, cool treat.“

I found this fabulous bakery and selected them, as I loved their story l, plus they have a 5 star rating. They were so amazing to work with and did exactly what they promised. They followed up quickly and even had it delivered to the hotel along with information and pictures on who they left it with for her birthday. “This is Costco for bakery. Huge and crowded. Lines and orders move pretty fast. Dine in and to go available. Parking is crowded most of the time. Bakeries, coffee, and pastries are above average, but not something you gotta have. Prices are reasonable. Good to visit once when near by.
Try the Bensito, very good cookie pastry. Good cake pastry with nice inside truffle fillings.“

This is my first time at this establishment. It is a walk up window. There's a couple tables outside but there's no real seeding otherwise.“

“They made my mom’s birthday cake it was a work of art and it was delicious. We chose my mom’s favorite. Carrot cake with a whip cream frosting and custard filling. It was the most delicious carrot cake I ever had! Even family members who exclaimed they did not like carrot cake tried this one and changed their mind it was that good!! We also got a flan pie. Same thing. So delicious. I wish I knew about this baker for my wedding cake but going forward I will get all my pies and cakes here. I highly recommend it!!“

The cake was not very sweet and just perfect. Really wanted butterfly cookies but were sold out. Only thing I didn't like was they don't answer their phones. “Ice cream is usually a safe choice—until you order a banana split and it looks nothing like the picture.

This is my second time visiting since they moved across the street. The store is very clean and feels brand new. The staff were young, friendly, and pleasant, which made the visit enjoyable.

Unfortunately, both visits had the same issue: missing toppings. They didn’t have hot chocolate syrup, which is essential for a banana split. The whipped cream was flat and seemed watered down, likely from being left out too long. Making a banana split isn’t hard, but without the right ingredients, the experience falls short. The alternative topping combinations didn’t really work either.

If the manager sees this, I hope you make sure all toppings are consistently available and fresh.

“Calico Cake Shop did such an awesome job on my birthday cake! I gave them a picture from Pinterest for reference of what I wanted my cake to look like. It was so beautiful I didn't want to cut it. The cake itself was a moist chocolate cake with a rich chocolate frosting filling as I requested. I'm so pleased with how the cake turned out, and for a reasonable price. I will definitely order party cakes from them again.“
