“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

I was on my way to my friend son's 1st birthday party when my two tier cake collapsed midway (the weather was sooo hot and I was driving fromRiverside to Sherman Oaks)!! I was desperate to just find a plain cake and looked for a nearby cake shop and found this place. The three ladies that was in the store was so nice and made the cake for me IN 30 MINUTES!!! I did not expect them to make such a beautiful cake with such time, how much more if this is not rushed!!! They did such an amazing job with matching the cake with the theme and saved the day for me!! “I placed an order for my daughter's baby shower 4 days before the shower date. I was worried about being able to get a cake ordered in such a short time frame. I looked to Yelp as I always do to find a cake shop to rescue me. And I am glad that I came upon cake sisters. The whole experience from ordering to the final cake was amazing. I was able to explain over the phone what I wanted and followed up with an email. They executed my order flawlessly. The cake was stunning, and the flavor was delicious. I ordered vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a Bavarian cream and pineapple filling. I described the cake that I wanted and it looked and tasted as if I had made it for myself. They were so spot on. It was soooo pretty. Especially the little edible shoes that they made. Although I did get a few pics, I didn't get any really good ones, but they took some before I'd picked it up. I hope they post it.“
“Saw this bakery next to fresh & flash market so decided to grab a few dessert bites. They weren't the freshest pieces, probably because I came at 6 but they certainly were tasty. Besides the texture being a bit on the hard side the small cakes were sweet goodness. Overall it's pretty good especially for El Monte. 4 small cakes totaled about $7, not too shabby.“

“Been ordering cakes from here for many years and love every cake ordered. We've bought regular cakes the same day, special ordered, and customized for baptisms. The only sad part about everything is that they stopped making the sponge cakes with jello . I only wished they would bring it back because I've been craving it for years. “Getting ice cream is always a treat and this location is consistently good, in my opinion. They usually have a good variety of new flavors, as well as the classic "go-to"s. I tried the Oreo N Cold Brew this time and it was tasty- coffee ice cream with a LOT of Oreo cookie mixed in. It was just sweet enough and the coffee taste seemed stronger than the usual coffee. The service is great here and it was pretty busy for a Thursday night. Could be because of the heat, but I think it's also that this Baskin Robbins is a good one and the neighborhood knows it. :)“

Very cute shop, service is excellent, presentation of cupcakes is excellent and they taste great too!I haven't tried their made to order cakes yet.They opened in 2013. I also like that the parking lot is huge, which definitely makes it convenient to stop by for some delicious bread and quickly leave without any issues!“

“We’ve been to this establishment many times. The place was remodeled last spring I believe .It’s nice with a few tables to sit down and enjoy your ice cream or whatever your heart desires. We stopped by for a promotion, Cappuccino blast for five dollars it was made perfectly ,the two employees at work this night know what they’re doing .They’re courteous, and hard-working especially when the crowd comes in . We have ordered banana splits and ice cream sundaes, scoops of assorted flavors of ice cream and never disappointed we like coming to this place especially when it’s hot outside. There is plenty of parking with the handicap stalls at the front entrance. this place also has a drive-through, which is great if you don’t want to get off your car, I recommend this place to those who love ice cream.“

“New ownership since the last time I stopped by a few years ago, but happy to see someone move into the spot. More of a classic panederia now vs the modern Mexican that was there before, but still very good. The new owners are definitely “mom and pop”, very hard working and very friendly. They didn’t have what I was looking for, which were the mini churros with dipping sauce for my office mates, so I tried a few other options and everyone seemed to love what I brought in. They gave me a card and said I can pre-order anything I wanted, including the mini churros sans dipping sauce as well as other mini versions of their regular pastries. Will definitely be back!“

“I used Pin Up Cakes for my wedding and loved how my cake turned out! Everything was done online and was super easy. I sent them inspiration pictures of what I wanted and for how many people. I wanted a smaller cake for just me, my husband and our wedding party as we were doing sheet cake for the guests. After sending the pictures, they gave me different options and broke it down by how much each would cost. I loved that they did that!Since I wanted a 2 tier cake, but it was only for 12 people, they gave me the option to make the top tier out of styrofoam to cut costs! They also gave me options on if I wanted them to make flowers out of fondant, or I could bring them flowers and they would put it on, or I could have my florist do it at the venue. This also helped cut cost.I ended up with a strawberry cake with chocolate frosting and it was so delicious! I’m not a big fondant person so I was worried I wasn’t going to like that part, but it was honestly so thin and not super sweet which I was very happy about.“
“I came to this Baskin Robbins a few minutes before they closed and I was attended by the two young girls that were closing and they had such a positive and enthusiastic attitude! They welcomed me in with a very friendly tone and let me take my time deciding what I wanted. I ordered a Pralines n creme icecream bowl and it was sooo delicious! I love the ice cream here it's sometimes expensive but it's worth it. It was a treat to stop by! I always have great experiences at this location and every employee i've been attended by are so marvelous and very kind!! Of course I will be back!“
“I had the Cuban sandwich with plantains which was delicious! The sandwich was warm oozing with cheese and the plantains was thick and crispy. Could only eat 1/2 the sandwich since it was so filling. Be sure to leave room for desserts to try some of their pastries.“

“Was craving yogurt so went to my local Menchies. I've been here a few times and i love it. The shop is small, has a few tables, but its clean and tidy. The yogurt stations and topping stations were clean and neat. The yogurt tastes great and they have so many toppings. Service has always been friendly and accommodating. Will be back soon!“

“This is my favorite Baskin Robbins location in SGV. The service is always fast and the associates are always very nice. I've placed special orders here before and they've been correct. It really is a special treat when they have the 31st day specials. My daughters cherish their ice cream treats each time we come here. My go to ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip!“
“The team at this site performed admirably! I placed an in-person order for my cake and picked it up a few days later. I had shared a picture of my desired cake, they skillfully brought it to reality. The one setback was my desire for a smaller heart cake, but they don't take preorders for that size. The site is tidy, and the cakes are freshly prepared. I favor this place over the La Puente location on Hacienda Blvd due to the better handwriting and the availability of two fridge cakes here. 10/10 would order again !“

“If you go on the 31st of any month, you will get 31% off of your scoops. Even though it was raining heavily on New Year's Eve, off I went with my tribe to get scoops of ice cream. I got one single on a sugar cone. I turn around and the Prince has two scoops in a waffle. Not to be outdone, the Princess asks if she can get the same. Of course. All less than $15. No pictures. It was raining. We were in the car by the time I thought of it. Good deal on the 31 at of months that have 31 days. They stayed open their regular hours and the place was clean.“
“Ice cream is one of my favorite treat for a snack or dessert. Usually a sugar cone is my go to, but occasionally I will have a sundae or smoothie. Every December, I can't wait to have the Winter WHITE Chocolate flavor. We went to two locations and they didn't have it!! I did try a substitute flavor of MILK Chocolate Cherry Bark, it was tasty and had a nice crunch, but cannot compare! I came home, and called four locations, none have it. I was told it was not discontinued, though. Looks like I might have to wait 12 months.“

I came in to pick up a last min cake for my stepson, not his main birthday cake just a little weekday birthday celebration with his dad and I before the weekends festivities. I expected a small cake with happy birthday. I asked if they had any Spiderman decorations that I could add and the kind gentleman in the front said he would ask the cake designer since he was there. Okay...so can I preface this by saying if they said no or go find one yourself or you need to pre order that, ALL would have been justified and I would have politely purchased my generic cake and been on my way. Nothing more was needed. However the universe decided to bless me with.... JIMMY. This kind man took my order, to my specifications and produced this gem in under 30 min. “I'm a nanny for a 2 year old in Pasadena and I bring him here once a week for our ice cream date! He loves coming here! I ask him what flavor would you like teddy? He replies mango with prinkles! ( sprinkles) lol The staff is always so kind and friendly! Store is clean and it's always a joy to visit!
