TLDR: The portion is HUGE, the taste is bland and mediocre but the price point is great!

What we order:

- 2 items: white rice, bbq pork rib, and string beans chicken.

the rice is a little dry, the bbq pork is mostly breading and sauce. the flavor is sweet and slight tangy. the chicken in the string bean is FIRE, juicy and saucy! the string bean itself is okay, nothing special. they gave so much string bean compared to the meat ratio. the egg drop soup is okay. 3/5

pro tip; the hot and sour soup has a slight kick (white pepper is slightly more spicier than black pepper!) so I'd recommend the soup to add to your slightly bland meal!! 5/5

Service & Atmosphere:

- Service: you can clearly tell they love what they do and have been in this business proudly gor a long time. They're friendly and inviting! They give you big scoops!

- Atmosphere: there's seating inside. the soda machine doesn't work but they do have cans drink by the check out! it's a cute little place.

Overall, if you're looking for food that gives you the bang for your bucks and a HUGE portion you can barely close the takeout container, this is it. however don't expect it to be a 5 ⭐️ or panda express flavors and you'll be fine! I'd recommend this place! :-)“

“I’ve heard a lot of good things about Haidilao and finally came here for dinner today! I just wanna tell everyone to come here at least once! Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. They’re also very patient and knowledgeable about their menu. The most surprising is that, the staff team will sing a unique birthday songs to customers who come here for celebration. A little bit more meat in the pot, that would have been great. A small bowl of rice is $2. A bit steep. Service was great. “It's our first visit and it happened to be a lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded but it seemed like the staff were all preoccupied. We stood for several minutes and waited for someone to usher us to a table. We almost walked out after several minutes of waiting, until someone cleaned the nearby table and with an apologetic look, led us to our table.

They served roasted peanuts as appetizer. No one came around to give us a menu so I went to the counter and asked for a menu myself. I scanned the room and no one seems to think to service our table until I locked eyes with the person who seated us
She finally walked towards our table and took our order.

We ordered all classic Chinese dishes: wonton noodles soup, honey walnut shrimp, clam with black bean sauce, and chow fun with beef. They redeem themselves with their food. The servings were generous, all food tasted great. My favorite, hands down would be the soup and honey walnut shrimp.

June took care of us from beginning to end. She checked in on us frequently. She was polite, respectful, and courteous. We will come back again for sure to try out other dishes.“

“It’s such a treasure shop that you have to drive 30 miles to eat there. In particular, you should try their steamed buns and dumplings. The first choice is the green onion and pork stuffing. You can tell it is handmade as soon as you eat it. The dumpling skin is thin and the stuffing is big. The meat stuffing is full and chewy. The seasoning is very fragrant and has a homely taste. . Black menu is for already prepared items and white menu is made to order.
Food was very tasty.
I ordered 3 item dish from black menu that came with noodles, steam white rice, spicy chicken, beef and broccoli and jalapeno chicken.

“I'm giving them 5 stars for the quality and taste of their signature offering --- lobster! Ours was huge and expensive, but we allowed ourselves this luxury to satisfy our craving. Definitely worth our visit after a morning spent walking around Ikea. A friend of ours told us about this place a while back but we waited a long time to try them out. It was worth it. We had the lobster prepared their house special way! It came out of the kitchen quickly, perfectly seasoned and stir-fried. We ate it with some ong choy sauteed in garlic and some rice. The lobster proved too much for 2 people, but we didn't mind taking the rest home. Next time, we will definitely try their other dishes.“

The hot and sour soup is the best hot and sour soup I have had in California. It is so flavorful. The orange chicken is delicious! It's lightly breaded, I'm very crispy, even though it's covered in orange sauce. It provides the perfect crunch, and the chicken is juicy. The sauce is not overly sweet, either. For those that grew up with Korean Chinese food, this place is just like what you remember from back in the day. I usually don't order Mongolian beef as most times, the meat is very chewy, but it wasn't here. It was tender and flavored very nicely. We also ordered the Noodles with Black Bean Sauce Noodle aka Jajangmyeon. I liked it but it wasn't great. My family on the other hand thought that it was great. The Sweet & Sour pork and the Fried Shrimp with hot garlic sauce were crunchy despite us ordering to go. Their portion size was also good. I find most places charge more AND reduce the portion size but here, although the prices did increase, the portion size is still good. That's a big plus in my book. Overall, I would come back here again and would recommend it to others.“

Ordered Hainan chicken noodle soup, wonton noodle soup, green beans, and popcorn chicken and the portions were so generous we had to bring back more than half our food. “Let's get to the point: BEST LAMB SOUP EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. ? Don't get me wrong, the lamb dumplings and the meat pies are both freaking excellent, but the soup just takes it to a whole next level. It's amazingly savory and flavorful and you can really taste the quality lamb and all that lamb flavor in the broth itself. ?

There is a full sauce bar where you can make sauces for your soup or your dumplings. The sauce bar also has complimentary soup broth for you to have with your meal or refill your soup, (though this is a much watered down version of the real entree soup item.) They also give out complimentary milk tea, edamame, and snack jerky for the table. We also got complimentary milk tea while you wait, as the line can be long during peak hours, (though it does move fast.) So much free stuff! ?

My friend who is from Inner Mongolia was the one that took me here, and even she was impressed and said this is the closest thing to the food from her hometown. ?

Of course, my visit was in the middle of the week. In addition, the staff were helpful and attentive. They also recommended certain meals to try out. Those meals were well-made, and in timely manner. At the same time, they were delicious. Of course, the prices, too, were not on the expensive side. “Tasty Goody in Norwalk is hands down the best Chinese food place this side of the Mississippi. I go there whenever I want some ? orange chicken, and it never disappoints. The portions are huge, and the prices are great for how much food you get. The orange chicken has the perfect amount of crunch and sauce, and the noodles are always fresh. Got 3 3 items combos work wonton soup extra rice noodles and rice and a lrg coke for $56. Fed 6 people with almost half leftover.
