“My five star rating is for the House Special Dragon Hair, also known as Dragon Whiskers, Dragon Beard, or Chayote Vines.
Served as a cold dish, it was fresh and crisp, definitely something you will crave again! I wish more restaurants served this vegetable entree!
As you can see below (I added photos for the entire Eat Joy Food menu) they have a massive menu of Taiwanese banquet style food options. So many items that it was a bit overwhelming but luckily we had a Taiwanese friend do the ordering for us.
As for ambiance, it’s average but the stinky tofu smell in the air was a bit tough to deal with. Pricing is a bit on the high end compared to Java Cafe (another Taiwanese spot nearby).“

“A satisfying meal.
It reminds me of the Jjajangmyeon I used to eat in Korea. Haha
The sweet and sour pork is so delicious that it makes me think that other dishes would be delicious as well.
A restaurant that makes you want to try other dishes.
The Chinese sweet potato stew served at the end with the bill is a delightful delicacy.
The service was friendly, delicious, and the price was reasonable, so I had a pleasant meal.“

“What an awesome little restaurant that popped up here. Was looking to try something new and found this amazing little bao spot. The most amazing thing is how they fry these bao. The bottom is hard and crunchy and the top is soft, making a soup filled bao in either seafood, curry or the standard pork. They sell them in quantities of 6 and 2 to 3 is enough to fill me! Highly recommend a quick lunch or dinner here, you won’t be disappointed in the authentic flavors.“

“Got some craving for spicy Szechuan food so went to try this place. We ordered the fish fillet and intestine in hot chili sauce. That was good. Right amount of spiciness and broth. A little bit more meat in the pot, that would have been great. A small bowl of rice is $2. A bit steep. Service was great. The restaurant is facing the Peral plaza and nice to dine and people watch.“

“Let's get to the point: BEST LAMB SOUP EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. ? Don't get me wrong, the lamb dumplings and the meat pies are both freaking excellent, but the soup just takes it to a whole next level. It's amazingly savory and flavorful and you can really taste the quality lamb and all that lamb flavor in the broth itself. ?
There is a full sauce bar where you can make sauces for your soup or your dumplings. The sauce bar also has complimentary soup broth for you to have with your meal or refill your soup, (though this is a much watered down version of the real entree soup item.) They also give out complimentary milk tea, edamame, and snack jerky for the table. We also got complimentary milk tea while you wait, as the line can be long during peak hours, (though it does move fast.) So much free stuff! ?
My friend who is from Inner Mongolia was the one that took me here, and even she was impressed and said this is the closest thing to the food from her hometown. ?
This was such a great experience and the food was so freaking good that this has become a destination spot whenever I can make it out here to Rowland Heights! ?“

“Came to Dun Huang for our birthday dinner as per my sister's recommendations. Their menu is quite extensive and we opted to order several dishes to eat family style; love the convenience of ordering through the app; which allows all members of your party to add their desired dishes. All the dishes were well seasoned and very delicious. My favorite dishes were the whole fish and the cucumber appetizer. Will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.“

“Pilaf and yogurt are good. The noodles mixed with cucumber and oily pork are delicious! The noodles are as good as those eaten locally in Xinjiang. The vegetables are made with good ingredients and fried just right. The slivers are chewy and chewy. The portion is a bit too small and you have to pay for extra noodles. The mutton kebabs were just so-so. The service attitude is very good, I will come again. Overall, it is a very good Xinjiang style restaurant?

“I usually come here with my family since we have so many people and the tables can seat up to about 10 people which makes it really easy for us. Parking can be a hit or miss depending on the day but usually you'll be able to find parking. The menu is available in Chinese and English and there are also Photos for some dishes making it easy for you to order. The one thing that I love about this restaurant is that they have the lazy Susan and all of the dishes are proportioned to be family style so you don't have to settle on one dish for yourself, but have the opportunity to try a little little bit of everything. The food is extremely fresh, well seasoned and not too salty, and it comes out pretty quickly. We usually like to start out with the fish maw soup and work our ways through entrées like fried rice or the dry chow fun flat noodles. Then we choose a couple of proteins. I will say though the fish that I have here was $150+ so as good as it was I would not recommend it unless you are willing to spend that much. The staff are really quick on their feet and nice!“

“Those who gave bad reviews must be malicious reviews sent by competitors. The environment is good, the service is good, and the food is fresh and delicious. Those who said it was expensive were those who commented on it few years ago. Prices are soaring recently, but the restaurant still maintain the original price. The pot for two people actually is enough for 3. Do those who say the portions are small eat one barrel each meal? I don’t understand people who gave one star at all. You even need $25 for pho if taxes and tips add now. Those who can’t afford it should cook at home instead of going to restaurants.“

“Food is always consistent and they're fairly quick getting parties in and out. The roasted duck is great along with the charbroiled pork. It's on par or even better than traditional Chinese BBQ places that specialize in it. My go to is the grilled chicken steak. The pineapple bolo bun is wonderful as well as the other traditional dim sum dishes. KW is definitely my go to HK Cafe spot in the SGV.“

“Family operated restaurant. I love the variety on the menu and the picture it displayed for each dishes. The food came out to be really good, we order one dish per person and couldn’t finish it all. 锅包肉was a hit. The service was definitely lacking in some bit and needed improvement, but overall I do recommend this place.“

“I love this place and their foods. But lately, I've noticed the amount of frogs they serve is lesser time after time (for take-outs).Last week, I ordered again, the container filled with a lot of onions and green pepper, a little bit of frogs only.“
“(Translated by Google) You eat well in peace, it looks clean, they serve super fast... only that they neglect a bit the issue of service, being attentive to the tables and there is always new staff. The food was excellent and more than enough. They are dishes that two people can easily eat at a good price.(Original)Se come rico tranquilio, se observa limpio, sirven super rápido.. solo que descuidan un poco el tema del servicio el estar atentos a las mesas y siempre hay personal nuevo. La comida excelente y más q suficiente. Son platillos que fácil comen dos personas.. a buen costo.

“I came here with my family for a new restaurant in the area wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and decently friendly, the restaurant was clean and had an interesting aesthetic. We got the century egg tofu appetizier and also the beef rolls both were pretty good though the beef rolls were too sweet in my opinion and kind of small. All of us liked our noodles, I got the location special super beef noodle or something that has beef rib, sliced beef shank, and beef belly. The meat was super good and the broth was flavorful though I'd recommend having level 2 or 3 spice level, I got daunted and got level 1 but it wasn't really spicy. Definitely coming back with my friends.
Vegetarian options: A couple vegetarian dishes are labeled, they looked tasty“
“This place is great! The food reminisces of not only Chinese food but close with the Korean food I grew up with. The interior is beautiful and there is alot of space for large gatherings.I totally recommend the black bean noodles, it's not as expensive as other dishes but simplicity is absolutely amazing, and to To-go it for home is a splendid idea.I also recommend the walnut shrimp-there is alot in the dish and you just cannot stop eating it.“
“TL;DR Would recommend this place if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant with delicious options and your party has people with various dietary choices. This place is AWESOME. Due note that I'm writing from a position that whenever I go out to eat, I have to keep in mind the vegetarian, vegan, and meat options. They said they can provide MORE vegetarian/vegan options if you call ahead and let them know. I haven't done this and each time I went in, they've been able to make at least 4-5 vegan dishes. So good, I always have to take leftovers home. They might not promote themselves as a vegan/vegetarian restaurant but the head chef used to work for a vegetarian restaurant for almost a decade so he has tons of experience.“
“I just just opened a bag of the ground pork original flavor and consumed the whole 12oz bag in two days! A tad sweet & sticky for me, texture was Great though! Ordered three more 12oz bags to try the other flavors?“

“I’ve come to this restaurant for over 20+ years. It was always a go to Chinese-Korean place. Recently the ownership changed and they remodeled but I was scared the food might taste different. Thank God the food still tastes delicious!
Now with better service and cleaner atmosphere, we still come here often!“

“Although there are so many authentic Chinese restaurants in the Rowland Heights area, This place is on the TOP. Beware of the huge portions though, don’t order too many entrees because you can’t finish them all! My favourites are clam soup and hot Chili pork, and the price is pretty reasonable too. I also like the fact they use portable wireless device for ordering and CC.“

“This place is really good, today they will start adding the beef cream cheese order of (3) for 3.50 I believe. I wanted three not 6 and the fact they took The initiative to listen to their customer. Saying hey will add that you can get an order of three instead of 6 because it can be a bit too much shows they value their customers thanks Ladies!!!“

“I stopped in on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago and had to wait for a fresh batch of beef pies, but it was definitely worth the wait.
I ordered:
• beef pie
• pork pie
• vegetarian pie
• scallion pie
This is a *cash only* place, but thankfully they had Zelle so I could scan their code for payment.
My family enjoyed it and I look forward to coming back to try other menu items!“

“It’s so delicious. It’s good quality and reasonably priced. I’ll repurchase the pork belly chicken endlessly. Thank you, boss. I hope the restaurant can keep going. There are so few restaurants in Los Angeles that I can keep coming back to. Most of them are blocked after I go there once. I have been eating here for more than three years and the taste remains the same.“

“The salted duck is spot on! A native of Nanjing said that after coming to the United States for ten years, this salted duck restaurant has the soul of the old Nanjing people. “Every dish is as authentic as the original, without the salty or spicy taste of MSG. It’s delicious and not expensive. I highly recommend it. Asking the waiter to heat up the soup, he sighed loudly and muttered, ruining the atmosphere of the delicious dish.“
“Praise! I have always liked this kind of braised duck neck. The duck neck of his family has a special taste. I don’t know why, but I can taste the familiar taste. It tastes like the taste of childhood and also tastes like home. It’s delicious. Haha, I hope the boss will do more promotional activities to give back to us new and old customers.“
