“DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! I had lunch here last week and I was thrown at how good the pork belly skewers and honey salmon bowl truly is. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is plenty of space and TVs to catch a game so you don’t have to be shoulder to shoulder during a big game.

Parking: There are good number of spots in front of the location and then there is a huge shared parking lot with home Depot and del Taco that isn't being used by the other businesses later in the night and is never full in the day anyway.“

“This year we chose Black Bear diner for the location of our annual Chrispen Team Pumpkin Pie giveaway, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The manager Isaid was amazing from the start helping me plan the event and order hundreds of pies. The large patio provided a private and cheerful atmosphere and was the perfect spot for the event. Carlos and the rest of the staff were amazingly attentive and handled everything we needed on the day of the event. All of our clients raved about how delicious the pies were and loved the convenient location. We can't wait to come back next year!“

Our waitress Norma we had is hard working, always willing to go beyond expectations on making sure the order is correct & always a pleasure to have her serving us. Michael our server came out and created us, by saying it was so nice to see you here again. Michael remember our drink order and promtly brought it out to us. The job Michael did from start to finish was amazing. From getting our order out on time and the desert was perfect for my granddaughter Breanna and my wife's as well. “I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!“

“Delicious, delicious prime rib meal. Great setting at sunset, not at all noisy. We were never rushed. Thank you Summit House for the Wedding Anniversary dessert! Much appreciated. We've most of our 37 anniversary dinners with you. Our server seemed a bit preoccupied. Maybe he had too many tables. Our drinks seemed to take an unusually long time to come out. When finished he picked up the glasses and walked off, never asking if we wanted another. When finished with their meal, the plates/ leftovers of the party next to us were taken away & brought back in take out boxes. We were simply handed boxes and a bag to do it ourselves. We love Summit House and no doubt will return soon.“

Went several times as a better choice than hotel restaurants. They seem to make their own battered delicious sides - the batter is light and tasty and well flavoured.

It's a bar so has alcoholic drinks. They are... okay? I'd maybe be more impressed if I was more of a beer person, as they have a decently wide selection. They have passable wine. I didn't think much of their margaritas, though I did like that they did a variety of flavours as a flight.“
