The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Service throughout the meal was smooth and well-paced, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The food itself was excellent. The sushi was extremely fresh, with great attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. Each piece tasted clean and well-balanced, and you could tell that quality ingredients were being used. Nothing felt rushed or overly commercial — everything was prepared with care. “One of the best omakases I’ve ever had. Although it was on the pricier side, it was pretty worth every penny. The chef was very welcoming and friendly as well as the servers. Really enjoyable and unique experience with fish I have never heard of, including the white salmon.“

“The thickest and girthiest sushi rolls I've ever had and it was fantastic.
The staff and service was incredible! Big shout out to Crystal** our server and John the owner for making us feel extremely welcomed and very well fed.

My personal fave was the I LOVE JASMINE roll named after the owner's wife and the Daniel San roll named after the owner's son!

It's a family of great taste forsure!

In my honest opinion I don't think this place is authentically owned by Japanese people though, because the portions are HUGE like the rolls are 3-4x the size of a normal sushi roll but with 1/2 the flavor from what I am used to. It tasted good enough but not the authentic Japanese super flavorful delicate sushi I was looking for. The rolls was so big, there's not way you can fit the whole thing in your mouth at once so I tried to cut it but the seaweed was soft and wouldn't cut...lolll.. the plate became a destroyed piece of cut roll and I had to eat each piece in a smaller piece which ruins the flavor. There is way too much rice on the rolls. The restroom was not bad but also not great. They ran out of toilet seat covers and was slightly unkempt. A real Japanese owned restaurant would have an immaculate restroom. Inside was loud every table was prety much full.“

“Sushi Mura has the best ramen in Buena Park. This was my first time here. I've been to most ramen places in Buena Park, and didn't realize Sushi Mura is a hidden gem Sushi and ramen place near me.

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The menu had more options than I'll ever be able try. I had the special sake and appetiser deal for $30 and was not disappointed.

We ordered the jalapeño bomb and Jessica roll. They're both shrimp tempura rolls but where the jalapeño bomb was creamy and spicy the Jessica roll tasted bright and fresh. “I went in with my cousin on a hot Thursday around 4pm to get some sweet treats to cool us down! The place was clean and had a pretty mural going around the whole wall! The menu was straight to the point and everything looked delicious. The worker who helped us out that day was Daniela and she was the best! She was very helpful in every way and I loved her energy, it made me want to be her friend!

The ice cream is a little on the pricier side but it's fun to watch them make the ice cream right in front of you! We got 2 ice cream's their mini dubai chocolate pancakes and a nutella crepe. If you have a sweet tooth, you should for sure check this place out!

Parking is shared in a plaza with other food spots and I heard that it gets busy around the afternoon, thankfully we found a parking spot right away!

The quality of the ice cream was definitely good and it was creamy and surprisingly not overly sweet! They also do not have a public restroom!

We came around 8:30PM there was a reservation slot for 9PM but we didn't want to wait so we decided to take the chance and go in. We didn't have to wait. We started with some poke nacho, they were good, but not the star of the show. We also ordered some sashimi and the cuts were thick and taste delicious 😋. However, these were still not the star of the show. The true star was their black cod sushi(black dish). I had my doubts at first when my gf ordered it but when it came out and I had one of the 2pcs serving and my tastebud exploded. So we ended up ordering 2 more orders. Ponzu is great place for a nice date night I approved👍. Services was fast and very attentive. I enjoy the fresh wasabi that they serve with their sashimi and when I asked for more they brought out way more than what's originally was served, this place doesn't skim.“

“sushiland is truly a hidden gem in hacienda heights. I come here almost weekly with my girlfriend and I never had something we didn’t like. The scallop roll, scallop sushi, and wagyu sushi are absolutely amazing. Toro is always fresh and the beers are cold and cheap. We are always met with a smile by the employees and truly feel the good energy in the restaurant as well as the food we are served. Beyond thankful this is a 2 minute drive I urge anyone in LP or HH to give this place a shot- i’ve eaten at about every sushi place in Hacienda Heights and this one is clearly the best.

The interior is small but clean. The portions are generous, they usually have a nice deal going on, and they don't hold back with the toppings. Toppings are always fresh, fish tastes great, spam musubi is big and yummy, and plenty of sauces.

There's a little cooler with canned and bottled drinks you can choose from (I usually grab the green or jasmine tea), as well as a miso soup + fountain beverage station.
