“This is my favorite and go to shabu and its for a reason. the quality of meats here are incredible and they offer different types of cuts with different prices. They also offer more than few options for broth which is a huge plus and my favorite here is the yuzu. moreover, the wait time is not long and they have greta service.“

“On Sunday evening, after my son finished his Taekwondo tournament in Tustin, I searched for nearby Ramen restaurants and drove my family to Yoshiharu Ramen.
To my surprise, only one server was attending to 80% of the customers. Since my kids were hungry, we decided not to spend time going to another restaurant. Therefore, we ordered the following items:
• Tonkatsu Black ($18.00)
• Tonkatsu Spicy Black ($18.50)
• Rib Eye Beef Bento ($20.00)
After waiting for 20 minutes, two bowls of Ramen arrived. I almost finished my meal when my wife and daughter realized the Bento had not arrived yet. I asked the server about it, and she apologized, explaining that it was taking longer than expected.
Advice to the Owner: To ensure better business, please consider hiring more servers and not cutting back on labor costs. Customers don’t like waiting.
If the waiting time improves, we will definitely return.
Parking: Many free parking lots“

“Sushi
Came here because we were curious and hungry. Not a lot of people which was perfect and got seated right away. The ambiance is a Japanese and Korean vibe. The food and service is so great.
Food. So many to choose from and you only have one stomach. Don’t you hate that.
What my family ordered.
Gurume steak
Salmon
Sushi and a few sushi rolls
Everything is so delicious. Sushi and sushi rolls are so fresh. Would definitely comeback her again.“

“Great place for some light and fresh food. Enjoyed the plate as it came with a dressed greens and cabbage salad. Cutlet was a little greasy and the teriyaki sauce tasted like A1 steak sauce. Still worth another trip next time I'm in town.“

“What is there to complain about? I always come by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Still one of the few deals thats under $10 for an actual meal.Their Pork Cutlet Curry ($9.25+tax) is my go-to for its volume and the home-y feeling it gives you.The gentleman at the front gingerly took my order and my food came out ~10mins. Mind you, this was on a Tuesday afternoon (2pm)I prefer this locaction sometimes compared to its sister location in Costa Mesa. The choices here are limited, but you get the quiet and convenience.Tip: There's a parking in the back corner of the mall where you have direct access to the food court instead of parking and walking through the front. If you can find it...“

“The food was great, wish the rice in the onigiri was packed more, it falls apart rather easily. It feels like it should be eaten with your hands, although after the first bite you're going to need utensils haha. Menu says items include a couple more ingredients like kimchi but it wasn't in any of our dishes. Food tasted really good but wasn't entirely what was advertised and expected. Cucumber salad was amazing, highly recommend.“

“I was able to make it here early last month after just walking around and exploring and I was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes. I also really enjoyed the toro and got the largest portion. I sound at the bar. All of the sushi chefs were very friendly as well as the servers. If you’re chasing good Toro this is a solid spot for sure.“

“Went for lunch on New Year's Day. Since it's a holiday the price is for dinner instead of lunch special. Not crowded, but if you happen to be the 6th+ party seated at opening time, expect for a long wait (35mins from time of order) to get your food since the kitchen will be busy preparing the first 5 parties. Drinks were served promptly. Sodas are fountain style with unlimited refills.
Parking: Ample parking, located next to Albertsons.“

“Great Shabu Shabu place as a healthier dinner option when dining out. Meat quality is decent, vegetable offerings are fresh and bountiful. The rice texture could be better, it’s a bit dry and mushy, and the broth and sauce lack slightly in depth comparing to Shabu Shabu you can get in Japan.
Overall good value, for ~$30 you get meat, tofu, veggies, udon, rice, broth and complimentary tea.“

“With a charming and intimate atmosphere, Taiko Japanese Restaurant is ideal for romantic dinners or special occasions. The comfortable interior design and beautiful views create a pleasant dining atmosphere. Taiko is impressive with its creative and innovative Japanese cuisine. Dishes are carefully prepared with fresh ingredients, demonstrating authentic flavours and culinary expertise. Famous dishes include exquisite sushi and sashimi platters, as well as delicious teriyaki chicken and miso cod. Despite being a high-end restaurant, Taiko is reasonably priced and offers excellent value for money food quality and service.“

“Great tonkatsu spot. There was about a 30min wait on Sunday night which wasn’t terrible. The tonkatsu was crunchy and juicy. I have to say, the portion sizes were more than generous. The meal was awesome but we had to mix it up with some non-fried food.“

“Cute shop with unique matcha drink flavors. We tried banana matcha and Sakura latte. Although there are places with banana matcha in OC it's still an unusual offering. The strawberry sakura latte was perfect with less coffee. The server was very nice & accommodating. Would definitely go back and try different flavors.“

“This is probably one of the best shabu shabu places around! Dinner was around $29 per person but unlike hai di lao or maybe happy sheep, the hot pots arnt in a single location, but rather your own pot in front! This makes it easier for those wanting something spicy broth to something light broth like my shoyu broth. They have 2 different meat menus, one with wagyu and one thats the standard meats. Either way, the standard menu still had really tender meats like the ribeye cuts and tenderloin! Some more filling options too included the beef belly and pork belly. Also at the buffet side, there are some nice sides such as takoyaki, gyoza, seaweed salad and oranges and fried rice. There are also vegetables and seafood to get as well! Service was friendly and easy to order extra meats and cleaning up the plates was done easily too by either robot waiter or custodians! Orders were delivered by robot waiters or handed to us by a waiter! They make good use by not programming a robot waiter to go to multiple tables at a time! The only disappointment was they did run out of some stuff such as smoothies and soju which almost consisted of the cocktail menu on the back... At least pepsi is $2 with unlimited refills? Overall it's nice to come back here if i was feeling spendy or treating out for an occasion here again! They seem to always have tables so capacity i hope isn't an issue!“

“Came here twice and food is really good. Seems to be kind of quiet which is nice. Really liked the dinosaurian egg and Mars roll, might try the ramen next time. The sashimi was fresh and well prepared, which is super important! Recommend :)“

“I recently tried some sushi rolls, and I have to say, they were incredibly fresh and delicious. Every bite felt like a perfect balance of flavors—it's clear they use quality ingredients. Even the packaging was impressive, keeping everything neat and intact, which I really appreciated. However, I couldn’t help but wish the price was just a little lower. Don’t get me wrong, it’s worth it for the quality, but it’d be nice if I didn’t have to think twice before treating myself. Still, I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

“Went here with my mom and friend for a quick dinner and ended up having such an amazing time!
We ordered the 2 combination with salmon teriyaki and sashimi (tuna and salmon) bento box and also the 3 combination beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and crispy scallop bento box. It was delicious and the portions were great for the price point! It also came with ginger dressing salad, sunomono salad, miso soup, a scoop of rice, and two orange slices!
We also got spicy garlic edamame which was absolutely addicting to eat. It was so so good, coming from someone who rarely eats spice.
We also tasted the bluefin tuna sashimi with crispy kale chips and garlic—OMG, this was delectable. It was so fresh and paired surprisingly well with the kale chips and garlic.
The owner also came over and let us sample one of the new appetizers they’re planning to serve! It was called negi tofu and it was so light and yummy, perfect for any tofu lovers or any group who wants a light appetizer. It was essentially a cube of tofu with a yummy sauce on top served with fresh vegetables and red onion.
For dessert we got the strawberry and matcha macaron ice cream which was just the cherry on top. Pretty sweet for my liking, but if you’re a sweet tooth, you’ll love it.
TLDR: Get the bluefin tuna with crispy kale chips sashimi! Also their salmon teriyaki and spicy garlic edamame is a must-try. Will for sure be coming back soon! Also, the miffy bento box is not included, I made it haha.“
