“First time dining here! We had dinner on a Wednesday evening, and the place was quite packed. Luckily a reservation through Yelp beforehand helped us get a table not long after we arrived. We ordered: - Rib Bone Pho - Short Rib Pho - Fillet Mignon Lomo Saltado - Chicken Nugget Basket For me, the star of the show was their aji verde aioli that came with the Lomo Saltado. Service was good too despite the crowd. Only thing I would note is that, it would be nice if the restaurant offers limes instead of lemons, and Thai bird chilli instead of jalapeño to be served with the pho. Regardless, they made the flavour work with what they have. Will come back for more!“

“We were craving Korean soup and we're happy to find this place on Yelp. Got the galbi tang and spicy soondae soup. The galbi tang comes with a good amount of meat and the broth is light yet flavorful. The spicy soondae soup had a nice kick to it and contained a bunch of meat and soondae in the soup. The radish kimchi side dish was one of the best I've eaten as well. Service was attentive and the food came out quickly too. Would 100% come back!“

“The flavor of the rice balls was so good. The only this is that the rice wasn’t very sticky. I got a shrimp rice ball (pictured) and kbbq beef rice ball (not pictured). My boyfriend ended up just getting the crab rice ball (pictured). The kbbq beef rice ball ended up falling apart unfortunately and was really hard to eat. The other two stayed in tact for the most part, but we could definitely feel them start to fall apart while eating. The little market place that Ricebunn is located in is very cute though. There’s a few other small restaurants around it and some seating as well.“

I think we just don't realize the difference between noodles that were being rolled and pulled right before they are tossed in boiling water and the dried noodles that we make at home, or that other places use. This Noodle St. didn't have the same variety as the one in Fullerton, but the Beef Noodle Soup didn't disappoint, and the Fried Calamari appetizer was spicy, crunchy, and chewy, served hot and delicious.I had the Iced Peach Black Tea with my ramen, and my wife had the Passion Fruit Green Tea. “Phan's Kitchen and Bar in Irvine offers a unique blend of contemporary Vietnamese cuisine alongside specialty cocktails and wines in a sleek setting. One notable aspect of the restaurant is its location, nestled almost inconspicuously in the middle of a residential condo area. To find it, diners embark on a short drive into the complex, where they'll discover not only Phan's but also a handful of other businesses. The unconventional location adds an element of discovery to the dining experience, making it a hidden gem for those willing to venture a bit off the beaten path. The restaurant's sleek ambiance provides a modern and stylish backdrop, creating an inviting atmosphere for patrons seeking a culinary adventure. When you walk in, you are greeted by the large screen tv above the small bar seating area, next to the hostess station. I think they were short staffed the night we came in but the hostess saw us, but went about other tasks and left the owner to seat us when he came out and saw us just standing there. The hostess was like, "Oh yeah, they are here." The restaurant was not very busy at the time, but they definitely did not have enough staff to manage the guests they already had.It was a cold and windy night so the DH and I opted to have some wings and some warming Pho with some drinks. The restaurant had an open kitchen area so you can see what was going on in the back. There were three people in the kitchen but only one person was cooking the other two were helping with prep and expediting but the cook/chef was a one man show. The wings took a little time so we thought they forgot our order, but when they came, they were definitely worth the wait. The were crispy on the outside with a mild hint of fish sauce, not overpowering, and the inside was nice and juicy! Given that the wings took a little while to come, we thought we had a little more time to eat the wings before the pho came, but shortly right after the wings arrived, the pho came out. So we hustled to finish our wings and start on the pho before it got cold. By now, there was a crowd that was starting to accumulate at the front door and people were crammed inside to stay out of the wind. I'm glad we got our food at that point as service was almost out the door as it got really busy. We tried to ask for additional condiments to eat with the pho, but they never came. The pho was good, but it could have been much better if we were able to get extra condiments with our pho. We were surprised that no one came to check in on us or give us the check since it was just the too of us sitting at a 6-top table and the crowd was growing. We finally had to flag down someone to get the check, seems like that owner was running all over the place. The menu at Phan's Kitchen and Bar boasts a selection of contemporary Vietnamese fare, promising a fusion of traditional flavors with a modern twist. From classic dishes to inventive creations, diners can expect a diverse range of options that cater to various tastes. The d was quite good, but the experience was somewhat dampened by the lack of service. It could have been on a night where they were short-staffed or it could just be lack or organization and process.“

“Lots of mixed reviews, but don't knock it 'til you try it :)!Hungry and not wanting to leave the house, I decided to order delivery. Random fact: This is the 2nd time in my life where I've ordered food for delivery (other than pizza). For my food, I ordered their Pad Thai w/ Beef. I've been on a Pad Thai binge since I'm addicted to the flavor and the noodles. The dish normally has a tangy flavor to it which I like, and I also love the thin noodles that are used. How was it?Pad Tai w/ Beef: A warm delivery! So I suppose you can say I ate it while it was fresh. Opted for no bean sprouts or green onions because I don't like them with this dish. The thin noodles and flavor were just what I was looking for and expected. The beef, though there wasn't much, was pretty good. The noodles weren't long strands, they seemed to be cut shorter. I didn't mind this as it made it much easier to eat, and I was definitely not in the mood to twirl my noodles like spaghetti. I requested a medium spice level and it was perfect! The food arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there.I can't speak for the service as I didn't interact with anyone at the restaurant, but maybe next time I'll dine in to find out!“

“Randomly stumbled across this Korean restaurant when searching Korean food in Irvine. To my surprise the food and service are really good. It is not loud and a good place to eat with friends and family. We ordered the cold noodle, it is well balanced, with egg and beef slices. The noodle is chewy and I like the texture of it. It also comes with banchan such as fish cake, cabbage, kimchi, and more. We also try the ox tail soup, it is not salty but we have option to add salt into it to make it more salty. But it has huge bone flavor to it which I really like. Parking maybe a little difficult during lunch hours since the parking spots in front of the restaurant is limited, but there's more parking at the back.Server is friendly, although place is small, but it seems like a hearty place to eat. Price is affordable, will come back again!Parking: Sometimes parking in front is limited but there’s back parking“

“Apparently this joint is known for being busy & having to wait. We went on a Saturday evening (!!!) & just our luck we didn't have to be put on any wait list, we were able to walk right in & be seated right away. The seating inside is so limited so I was worried about the wait. It was our lucky day ! I ordered the chicken cutlet regular size level 2 spice, hubby got the same but large & with an omelette. We also got an order of karaage for an appetizer. The food came out fairly fast. The karaage was so good ! I have had my fair share of karaage & this had its own unique taste. It was juicy & the dip (I think it was kewpie) paired so well with the chicken. We gobbled up all the bites. At first glance the regular size chicken cutlet seems small & mediocre. I actually couldn't finish my plate as I got full & hubby had to finish for me. The medium grain rice was sticky but cooked to perfection. The breading on the chicken had a crunch & the chicken was tender & juicy !!! I could of ate a spicier curry but really was being cheap & didn't want to pay extra to up the heat level. I'd say if you're into spicy food level 2 is still very mild. Even though it was mild, i really enjoyed it !!! Very small complaints, why the shortage on napkins ?? I have a 10 month old & things get messy at the table. We only had one napkin & my hubby asked for more. We were given only 3 more. Plus curry is messy so don't be stingy on napkins ! Also wassup with the canned drinks ?? Fountain drinks always taste better than canned. Anyways we really enjoyed our meal & we would be back !“

“I just wanted to share my experience at your Lake Forest, CA location today. I have a food allergy to garlic, which prevents me from enjoying some of your tasty dishes. I placed my order with Caroline, who works at this location. I usually pick up my order from here 1-2 times a month. I ordered Mongolian Chicken, and luckily Caroline remembered that I have a garlic allergy. She held off on preparing the dish until I arrived and informed me of the garlic in the sauce which could not be removed from the dish. She kindly asked if they could substitute another item for my order that was garlic-free. I was amazed that someone would take such good care of their customers and go that extra mile! Caroline and the chef at this location went above and beyond to ensure that I avoided a long night of discomfort. They alerted me of the ingredients in the dish, and I am grateful for their attention to detail. Caroline and the chef on duty on 12/13 are truly superstars! Thanks to them, I had a wonderful experience at your restaurant. Thanks Caroline - Andrew C.“
