“Kingchops is one of my favorite place for lunch, I usually come to this Plaza at 11:00 AM before the busy lunch time, parking can be tricky at 12:00 PM, however it is mostly the same throughout most Irvine area. 1. Food: My favorite will be the Pork Chop Dry Noodle (#2), the pork chop is packed with flavor, not too over fried, but just crispy enough for my taste. I also enjoy the porkchop soaked in the house special vinegar, as it has a flavorful taste. Personally, I always like it with dry noodle, the size of noodle is not to thick nor too thin, just the right size for me. The add on topping goes well with the noodle with or without the pork chop, by far it is the most consistent, I been working nearby for the past 3 years. 2. Price: at around $12-14 (tax + tip) per person for lunch, the price is about the same for surrounding restaurants, and by far the best pork chop compare to A+J or I-Tea Café. A+J has a cleaner taste to it which is also great, but if you like a more flavorful taste Kingchops is the place! I-Tea Café is also great, but I found the batter on their pork chop/ chicken chop tends to be a little too thick for my liking. 3. Service: Great service, always clean and food ready with in mins of your order. when you dine in, you also get some free green tea! Place is small so come early for lunch, to go is also an great option to skip the line and busy parking at this plaza.”

“I have been here few times and it’s one of my favorite local Vietnamese eatery to me! I got the pork belly salad and the grilled pork bánh mì. I love that for the salad you have side sauces to dip or pour into the salad bowl at the amount you want and the bánh mì is very flavorful and pack of flavor in each bite. I also got the strawberry lemonade, Vietnamese coffee, banana pudding, and a chocolate chip cookie. All perfectly sweetened and no disappointment. Will definitely come back and staff was very efficient and friendly upon arrival!

The room was well designed and very comfortable for our family of 3 staying in a King with sofa pull out. Very nice touch that the kitchen faucet was filtered water. The only downside if there is one is that the lobby area was a bit small for the breakfast area but it was fine during the week, I would imagine it could be a bit crammed on a busy weekend. Breakfast was adequate and a nice change from the typical free breakfast by offering made to order eggs and one sweet item (crepes). I would consider staying again if I was in the area.”

Beer is fine too. After finishing the meal, you can also dip the bread into the sauce, which is quite thick. This dish is really amazing. Because it is so rich, you will feel a little tired after taking two or three bites, but after five minutes, your hand will automatically pick up the spoon to dig in, and then you will be tired again.
?Cajun Lobster Pasta US$???: It really makes me tremble when I see MKT written in the price column. But even if I tremble, I still want to eat. Overall, the seasoning was good, and the lobster meat was sweet and thick. But... I think this dish costs US$80. I would seriously suggest you skip this dish and order other snacks which are more practical.

We ordered the 2 combination with salmon teriyaki and sashimi (tuna and salmon) bento box and also the 3 combination beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and crispy scallop bento box. It was delicious and the portions were great for the price point! It also came with ginger dressing salad, sunomono salad, miso soup, a scoop of rice, and two orange slices!
We also got spicy garlic edamame which was absolutely addicting to eat. It was so so good, coming from someone who rarely eats spice.
We also tasted the bluefin tuna sashimi with crispy kale chips and garlic—OMG, this was delectable. It was so fresh and paired surprisingly well with the kale chips and garlic.
The owner also came over and let us sample one of the new appetizers they’re planning to serve! It was called negi tofu and it was so light and yummy, perfect for any tofu lovers or any group who wants a light appetizer. It was essentially a cube of tofu with a yummy sauce on top served with fresh vegetables and red onion.
For dessert we got the strawberry and matcha macaron ice cream which was just the cherry on top. Pretty sweet for my liking, but if you’re a sweet tooth, you’ll love it.
TLDR: Get the bluefin tuna with crispy kale chips sashimi! Also their salmon teriyaki and spicy garlic edamame is a must-try. Will for sure be coming back soon! Also, the miffy bento box is not included, I made it haha.”

Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I anticipated a one-hour wait, but it ended up being an exasperating 1 hour and 40 minutes—definitely not ideal.
While the food was genuinely good, I can't help but wonder if it was worth that long wait. The outdoor seating was nonexistent, and it was frustrating to watch servers moving at a leisurely pace, seemingly with no sense of urgency. The service itself felt lackluster, which added to my disappointment.
On the plus side, the noodles were absolutely delicious and clearly the highlight of the meal. However, when weighing the wait time, service, and price against the food quality, the overall experience just didn’t come out on top for me.
If you decide to give it a try, be sure to add yourself to the Yelp waitlist beforehand. Hopefully, your experience will be better than mine! If you’re willing to wait it out, you might find gems on their menu, but be prepared for a less-than-stellar dining experience in the meantime.”
