A&J is a staple in Irvine and regular place me and my boyfriend go to when we are craving Taiwanese noodles among other great foods. It is located in a plaza with plenty of parking but make sure to wait if you go during peak hours on weekends as it gets busy. There are many options on the menu but the ones we primarily get are the Spicy beef noodle soup, pan fried pork dumplings, and the Chinese beef wrap. Surrounded by so many other Asian restaurants, this one is definitely worth a visit. Food is authentically Taiwanese but includes your usual Chinese dishes. The pork chop is not typical, but delicious. And the piece de resistance: the quintessential Beef Noodle Soup. Their homemand noodles, the rich full-flavored broth that definitely doesn't come out of a can---worth a trip to this busy-difficult-to-find parking space mall. At least parking is free...if you can find one.
