“Weekends are usually packed here so parking lot is always busy. Be patience and you can always find parking in the lot. Tonight they had someone filling the water for everyone. Food is always on point. Never had a bad experience. $40 for 2 of us. We got the spicy beef noodles soup with the flat noodles, 8 pieces of potstickers, cucumber salad, pickled mustard green and their marinated egg.“

“Great hidden gem for rice‑noodle lovers in Irvine! The Xinjiang spicy noodles are rich and flavorful, and the Sichuan pepper fish rice‑noodle soup has a wonderfully fresh broth. Appetizers and the new milk tea drinks are surprisingly good. Staff are friendly and service is quick. The dining area is clean with a relaxed vibe. Fantastic value for money, perfect for casual meals or group visits. Will definitely come back.“

“Ordering is a little confusing. There is a monitor that allows you the option of dine in or carryout. But then you need to go to front to pay before they make the order.

Food was ok. Yellow rice was a little dry, and the chicken thigh was tough and dry. Egg rolls were very good. People were very nice. Probably should have gotten the pho.“

“This place is such a fun spot for creative Japanese dishes. We tried the Ube Colada which was creamy and delicious with the perfect pina colada flavor. The salmon skin tacos actually use salmon skin for the taco shells which is something I have never seen done before and they were so good.

The spicy tuna crispy rice was perfectly crispy and the Natsu salmon roll had lemon on it which added some nice citrus and fresh flavors.

We also got the Miso Black Cod which was very buttery and flaky. Overall everything was really well done and I loved how unique the menu was.“

“Wowwwww… tried this place for the first time tonight for dinner and I was blown away!! I ordered the Chongqing chicken and spicy pork wontons with white rice and loved everything. Service was fast for dinner time and the cashier was so kind and helpful and even gave me some recommendations too. The chicken was just the right amount of spicy and the wontons were some of my favorite I’ve had. Portions are also big enough to share. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. Easy parking too. I will be back…“

“Their specialty dishes are: 1. Sullungtang: taste amazing and very light. A good meal for winter/ 2. Cold noodle: the best I've tried so far, especially when you get a combo with spicy pork or bulgogi 3. Meat: spicy pork/bulgogi was homemade and were not like other korean restaurants. Taste very delicious!“

“Had a good experience at Pho Hanoi. The pho broth was flavorful and the meat was tender, and the portion size was pretty generous. Service was quick even though the restaurant was busy. The only small issue was that our table took a little while to get cleaned. Overall the food was very good and the staff was freindly. I would come back again.“

Still one of the few deals thats under $10 for an actual meal.Their Pork Cutlet Curry ($9.25+tax) is my go-to for its volume and the home-y feeling it gives you.The gentleman at the front gingerly took my order and my food came out ~10mins. Mind you, this was on a Tuesday afternoon (2pm)I prefer this locaction sometimes compared to its sister location in Costa Mesa. “This was hands down, the best Thai flavor ive ever had here in the U.S. The portions are smaller in order to fit in 'to-go' containers but still well worth it. Im so happy we found this gem. We will go again when we fly back to town.“

“I've tried ramen all over California, other states, and even in Japan, but Santouka's spicy miso ramen still remains my favorite bowl of all time.

Perhaps my taste buds have been biased by nostalgia over the 8 years I've been coming to this location, but I still stand behind my opinion. There is something so unique about the flavor of the ramen here that I haven't really been able to find anywhere else. Other trendy ramen spots and their signature ramens start blending together in my mind, unlike Santouka.

Santouka offers simple, solid bowls of ramen. They don't claim to be the best, and they really shouldn't need to. Honestly, I don't even think it's the best ramen I've had in terms of quality objectively. But I still always find myself coming back.

I miss the cash-only days with the friendly, but no-nonsense, old lady at the front counter, but the ramen still tastes the exact same as I always remember it.

I also want to highlight that the Irvine location gives WAY more noodles compared to other Santouka locations (like Costa Mesa).“

“The food, service, and atmosphere here are all GREAT. It’s a little pricey… in that there is definitely cheaper Thai food in town. But everything is really really tasty and the service and atmosphere are upscale and really nice. Worth the extra money.

WARNING: I would avoid takeout or delivery. As much as we love this place, we just didn’t feel like going out last night. We tried to order by calling the restaurant. They have an AI agent taking your order. She rejected one of our favorites, saying it’s not on the menu. Turns out, it’s not on the TAKEOUT menu. (It was “basic” chicken lettuce wraps.) I get it… some food doesn’t travel well and they choose not to even try. (But that particular food seems like it would be okay?) The more annoying part was the AI accepted our order for fresh shrimp spring rolls, but “translated” the order to the kitchen as fried rolls with shrimp and other fried stuff. When we called, we were able to talk to a person that claims they’ll refund in a few business days. But she kept insisting that “we ordered the wrong thing.” Maybe they shouldn’t rely on an AI to take my order? (I read to the AI — word for word from their online menu — the item we wanted… the AI said “got the shrimp rolls… what else?”) Insult to injury… when dining in, they bring us a (big) side of peanut sauce (for the rolls) and never ever charge us. Last night, the AI charged us $4 for it and it was the tiniest little to-go ramekin like you see at salsa bars. (And remember, we didn’t even get the rolls to dip them in!) After speaking with the live person (that identified herself as the manager), I’m pretty convinced they just don’t love their takeout customers… like we’re a necessary evil.

Again: GREAT restaurant… love eating THERE. But be prepared to be under appreciated and disappointed if you try to take out.“

“One of my favorite places when I’m craving noodles or soup. Good food with big portions at a great price. I ate here last year and the service wasn’t very good and the place felt smaller, but when I visited this week, they’ve improved a lot. The two ladies serving were very friendly and attentive. The customer service was so much better this time, and I’ll definitely be back. I recommend ordering the wontons in chili sauce, braised pork with sticky brown sauce, and braised beef noodles everything was delicious. Totally worth it!“

“I'm no expert in Korean cold noodles but I found them to be quite delicious. This restaurant is in the middle of an H-Mart food court so the area is crowded and the table cleanliness leaves something to be desired.

I felt indecisive between the 물냉면 (cold noodles) and the spicier 비빔냉면 (spicy cold noodles) so the cashier was kind enough to give me spice on the side to add. Thank you!

“I came here because I was craving something spicy, and they definitely delivered on the spice! There were SO many chili peppers that I actually had to pick some of them out 😂

The flavor was pretty good, but I wouldn’t come here expecting authentic Korean food. I’d say it’s a nice spot to come to once in a while when you’re craving something spicy and flavorful. I just wish there had been more seafood!“
