Recently visited this restaurant. It was packed and odd thing about this restaurant is that it self sitting, so people kinda have to fight for it.However the food was great! We order udon, fried squid, spicy tuna rice and some fried fish. Spicy tuna rice and fried squid were amazing ?
Fukada is my go to Japanese restaurant whenever i'm in the Irvine area. Its not your normal Japanese place in the sense that you wont find just sushi, ramen, and teriyaki chicken here. What really makes this place is the combination meals where you get a noodle soup and donburi. My go to is always the udon soup with the sansai toppings (vegetables) and the spicy tuna don. Counter service. Very good quick donburi, noodles and rolls with authentic Japanese flavors. Dashi/broth is very good. Sushi is not fancy, but is quality ingredients. Service is very thoughtful and they are very quick in preparation. Highly recommended.
