We've got Irvine's top Mexican restaurants covered for you.
“Got the 3 pack for $13 - tried the potato, chicken, and beef. Honestly, more than I expected. Great flavor throughout, from the topping to the meat inside and held up well when taking it to go. Would definitely suggest if you want something quick and unique for Spectrum.“
“Cha Cha's is always a great time. My family chooses Cha Cha's for akmost every special occasion AND frequently for no occasion at all. The food is fantastic and the weekday specials are such a grwat deal. Miguel, or server was super friendly and attentive. We had another great experience last night.“
“Been shagging rich cougars straight from the source at crystal cove since the pre-pandemic days. This establishment holds a unique place in my heart and has its place in OC / SoCal culture so we must show respect to Señor Javier and his loyal army. Now, that being said I've always been conflicted on judging the taste, quality and selection of items since I'm an authentic and honest Mexican originally from Baja California (like Javier himself) The place is always pleasant and it's an incredibly successful moneyy $$$ maker of an establishment. It resonates with the rich whites and for people who don't really understand the depth and beauty that is true authentic Mexican cuisine. The locations are beautiful (especially Irvine after it was renovated and remodeled) the ambience is exquisite, the service is pretty solid and it's a fantastic place for a hot date or to grab some drinks with the homies. And they got that Cartel WiFi on POINT. I cannot as a genuine Baja Californian give this place a 5 but would give it a 4.5 if yelp allowed more accurate and granular review scores / grades. After like 7 years of refusing to review this joint on yelp I finally did it so get off my back yelpers. Oh and the salsa is ridiculously tasty and addictive. Salud. Dinero. Y Amor putozzzz“
“A truly remarkable Mexican dining experience. Food quality is toward the high end while pricing is toward the moderate. I'd dine here routinely. Also, the bar seating area is appropriately sized for a mid-to-high volume happy hour crowd.“
“We decided to give this place a try on a Sunday afternoon. We were chillin at the (dog) park (shoutout Lighter Shade of Brown) & realized we were ready for a light snack so we headed over to Roll Em Up. There was ample parking, but I think this plaza gets crowded on weekdays during the lunch rush. Although they have some seating indoors, it was a beautiful day so we wanted to sit outside. There's a lot of outdoor seating, but being so close to the airport the jet fuel smell wasn't doing it for me so we took our food to go. We ordered one of each kind of taquito they offer to try/share so we got potato, cheese, chicken, ground beef & shredded beef. The cheese and shredded beef were my favorites. They do ask you if you want your taquitos to be made with corn of flour tortillas. If you want a traditional taquito go with the corn tortilla because the flour tortillas, while still delicious, put you in flauta territory. I have no idea what they top these taquitos with but the topping are tasty. I look forward to returning to try their street corn and queso.“
“Food was great as always - Cece gave us excellent service :) thru her i just learned of the secret menu and I very much enjoyed the hero :) . . . Usually we eat outside and at lunch time - so I want to also say that Ash is also a wonderful server . . . Thanks so much for the wonderful service and food - we always come here with out-of-towner friends . . . Ambiance is always chill and relaxing - never too loud“
“Me & my sisters go to El Torito for brunch all over OC & this has by far been the been the best quality & best service. Able was kind, tentative & always present. The wait was a little longer than the others but way worth it. I would wait for this experience vs. the experiences I have had at other locations & gotten right in.“
“Best shrimp tacos because these shrimp are HUGE. It's like heaven, basically. The steak enchiladas always hit the spot & have a great sauce to cheese to protein ratio! Casual restaurant located around the business plazas. Great service!“
“This place is so good. I always get their 2 crunchy shredded beef tacos and they never disappoint.Their Burritos are pretty big, Carne Asada Fries are fire, Quesadillas are tasty, the Chips are always crispy and the Salsa is always fresh.Parking: If there is no parking in the loop out front, there is parking around the back of the building as well!“
“Exploring this Mexican cantina, I found the ambiance lively and inviting, especially as we chose to sit outside. Despite having only one staff member managing the patio, service was a bit slow but friendly. The Horchata we ordered, with its free refills, was enjoyable, and the 3-item combo of enchiladas, tamales, and tacos impressed overall. The portion sizes were reasonable for the price, although the tamale dough was slightly thicker than expected. While the meat lacked a bit of flavor, it was still satisfactory.“
“Our waiter William was good he made sure our mimosas glasses stayed full and stop by our table several times to make sure that we were good with chips and salsa. The food was meh for us all. The portion size for the steak and eggs was just a few shivers of steak. The crab and shrimp egg benedict was fried too hard. Also there could be more of egg selection ie egg whites. I would come back again just along for the corn and chips and salsa, very tasty!!“
“We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and really enjoyed the different flavors. The sangria was amazing, the chips and salsa were deliciously spiced and the carnitas were to die for, My husband got the salmon burrito (never heard of such a thing) and it was incredible! The service on the patio was great, and the atmosphere was really fun, even on a rainy afternoon. We really liked our server and had a lovely time.“
“This restaurant is probably the best one i have ever been too in years. The food quality, and mostly the owner and his daughter. They are extremely nice and made the experience way better. The taquitos were incredible and my favorite was the shredded beef ones. The food always comes out hot and fresh and the vibe inside the restaurant is very nice.“
“The tacos at Chronic Tacos are quite substantial, roughly the size of a small burrito. Considering their generous size, the Taco Tuesday price is quite reasonable. Typically, I would consume three tacos at other places, but at Chronic Tacos, one and a half tacos suffice. An added bonus is that the carne asada taco comes with guacamole topping, which is a definite highlight. However, one drawback is that I find the food to be overly salty. Both the meats and the rice tend to be on the salty side. Nevertheless, Chronic Tacos may still be among the best taco options in Irvine, although superior tacos can be found outside of the city limits.“
“We came in at the right time. It got busy as we were leaving. Good food, had their spicy fish sandwhich. I would definitely get it again. Reasonable pricesParking: Parking is near Wahoo's. There is a large parking structure and large parking lot, but they both fill up“
“5 stars for the amazing staff! Never thought I'd leave a review for Wahoo's. The staff treated me with warmth and kindness with a smile on their face. It was a casual quick lunch for me but they left an impression. Thank you for making my day a little brighter and grabbing the to go box for me when you didn't need to!“
“I ate at Aria Kitchen for the fist time, while on a business trip. The bartender was very welcoming and engaging with the customers. She also made an excellent Cadillac margarita. The food was very good. I highly recommend this place. Nice atmosphere, great service, and great food.“
