“I love Oscars, quality food and ingredients. Oscar is always super friendly and I love seeing his family hanging out. He’s there from early morning until late night and greets everyone with a smile and welcoming attitude. I am from San Diego and this restaurant reminds me of a lot of the Mexican restaurants down south. The food is very authentic and I love their salsa bar! The Cali burrito is delicious. Their breakfast burritos are delicious and affordable.“

“Incredible fish burrito! They hand dip and fry the fresh fish to order. I loved the sour cream sauce inside and the variety of salsas that came with it (+ handmade chips of course!). A guy in line next to me was genuinely excited for me to try it for the first time, and now i understand why. Remember to bring cash, you don’t want to miss out on this one!“

“There is a God!! I have been away for years working in North Dakota praying for a shrimp burrito. I was in Balboa over weekend and got my Shrimp fix. So darn good! The best shrimp soze and taste anywhere. They have not changed anything during this bad inflation. Miss the salsa bar but they gave us plenty. The best part they always remember me but, honestly I think it’s because my very large brown and white standArd poodle who actually sits in the both with me. Either way I love the waitresses there all so sweet and friendly and, I really enjoy the food and drinks. It’s my Tuesday night go to.“

No fault to the restaurant--it's located in a popular spot where there is very little parking. If you're looking for something quick and chill, don't go on Friday evening!“

“I’ve been coming to Que Vida Tacos HB for over a year since I discovered they were in Beach Blvd in Morhers shopping center. Their food is excellent and their service is exceptional. They are very kind, friendly and always go out of their way for me and as am eating, I notice them asking other tables, how they like their food and if there is anything else they need. I would give more stars, if I could because Que Vida Tacos is bringing back the genuine old school service that is rear to find. Edwin Jess, Big T, everyone is awesome.“

“Service was fast, surroundings are fine although the parking lot is a bit cramped and don’t give off the best vibes.

With that said, the fire-grilled combo for $6.99 with chicken burrito, chips, and drink is nearly unbeatable. The burrito has pinto beans and cheese and was perfectly cooked. Chips were thick and crisp. Soda machine injected the perfect amount of sugar.

As a point of reference, McDonalds’s Big Mac combo is $12.39.“

“This place is your one stop shop for your carne asada needs. Liquor store, carniceria and tacos already made.

I went to the carniceria, they have a great marinade and prices are decent. It's a 20 minute drive for me but I go here often since I found it. Worth it.“
