“Beautiful and delicious food“

“Been here about 10 times now, discovered it one day in Newport for my first Mother’s Day, they were giving moms free churros and it was such a pleasant experience we’ve been making the 30 min drive to come back ever since. Always a pleasant experience, service is always friendly and quick, the atmosphere is fun with an 2 inside areas and 2 outside areas andthe food is great (we mostly always get steak Chilaquiles and their steak breakfast burrito). This is a great place for toddlers/kids we love sitting on the patio area with grass and tv, we’re happy and our kiddos are happy. The food is always reliably tasty well cooked meat and free chips and salsa (lots of salsa choices and all good). I’ve even come here with my girlfriend for a mom’s day out. Highly recommend such a pleasant experience and ideal spot for watching sporting events or just to feel comfortable eating out with kiddos!

“There is a God!! I have been away for years working in North Dakota praying for a shrimp burrito. I was in Balboa over weekend and got my Shrimp fix. So darn good! The best shrimp soze and taste anywhere. They have not changed anything during this bad inflation. Miss the salsa bar but they gave us plenty. Most great places come and eventually go but GM is still.#1. Thank you Peter and staff!!.“

We started with the blackened chicken nachos, which came in a good portion loaded with cheese and meat, though the meat was a bit on the lighter side. For our mains, we ordered a variety of dishes including the tacos carnitas and steak, Rosa burrito, Rosa bowl, and the Rosa combo. The meat in each dish was delicious, with the steak taco standing out in particular, and the Rosa combo was both plentiful and satisfying.

“Yesterday, I had a meal with friends at Cabo Cantina in Newport Beach and it was such a great experience! The vibe is awesome with colorful Mexican decor that instantly puts you in a good mood. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was good and the portions… massive! Definitely recommend it if you're in the area!“

“This place was right by our hotel and we decided to give it a shot. Definitely not the best seafood I’ve had, but not the worst. The lobster was a a bit chewy but my gfs salmon was cooked well. Some of the veggies were a closer to the burnt side, but overall it was okay for the price. The outdoor seating was nice, right by the harbor. The service was great though. And they had live karaoke on the Tuesday we went.“

“Every time I come to Cali for vacation I must visit the JUICE BAR at Whole Foods for my morning fix of greens. I love this location. I never come to Orange County without visiting this particular location for my morning fix of greens. This is one of my favorite Whole Foods for their JUICE BAR. Awesome!!!“

“After a day in Newport Dunes we wanted a quick inexpensive bite to pickup on the way home. We were close to Fashion Island and had eaten at Soku Sushi but wanted to save moolah. So Wahoo’s sounded like the right amount of scratch for our itch. We were going to take it home but the outside area looked inviting. So we sat and ate out of the to go containers. We had not bought drinks but fortunately the spicy tacos, with white rice and black beans were so moist that I got through the entire meal with only one swallow/choke event. That’s important in my book.“

“Food was amazing as always, service always great from the valet to exit. The salsa did their chips wa so good with their perfectly salted chips. I ordered the Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare just perfectly, Tres Leches cake was delicious. Perfect restaurant for birthdays.“

“A funny thing happened on the way today FedEx drop-off. Kalaveras is convientley located off of Jamboree. For the street tacos Tuesday, you are seated and then order the number of $1.50 per Taco that you want. Then you line up to get your Tacos. You can choose from about 5 types of meat Tacos. Then, you can add vegetables and salsa types. There is a modern mexican restaurant vibe here. Have fun.“
