“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!”

Everything from the appetizers to dessert were perfect. Every dish is made with true italian fresh and natural ingredients and is made by traditional recipes. The talented chef M. makes pastas and pizzas daily and they taste amazing. Also the house wine is a good selection. I suggest you to have their own valuable wine. Il Farro has a great management and staff too. We loved interacting with customers and guys who work in, they became like family for us. The qualified employees are friendly helpful and the restaurant is always clean. They do have enough seats and limited outdoor seating, but get a reservation in advance to make sure you have a place.Hands off, this is the best place to gather with friends or family! It has our ❤️s. We loved it.”

“Bayside Restaurant in Newport Beach is a gem, especially for its live music every night. The atmosphere is so captivating that I often find myself singing along or even getting up to dance. The food and service are just as exceptional: my go-to dishes are the scallops, the lamb, and all the steaks. The seafood is so fresh and the steaks are far superior in flavor to any high-end restaurant. For appetizers, the ahi tuna tartare is a must-try (THE BEST I’ve had anywhere), and the calamari with its Thai-style twist of chilies, green onion, and cilantro over an amazing salad is a standout. Desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The cheesecake and panna cotta are favorites, but the Grand Marnier souffle is simply to die for. The service is also impeccable…from the moment you arrive with the complimentary valet service, to the hostesses, the bartenders, servers, and bussers. Everyone is so friendly and attentive! Bayside is an experience I cherish every time. Can’t wait for my next visit!”

“If you find yourself in Newport Beach, definitely visit Woody's Wharf. It opened in 1965 and is a staple in the area. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served and the food is delicious. Clam chowder is made fresh daily. They have martini Mondays and a daily champagne brunch that goes until 3 pm. They have a full service bar with a beautiful view of the marina. People are friendly and the customer service is amazing. Bar, table top and outdoor seating is available. It can get busy on weekends and holidays, so consider reservations. Definitely check it out, cheers and bon appe'tit, I'll definitely see you there.”

“Located in the beautiful Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, this spot is perfect if you’re craving fresh seafood or sushi after a beach day. They also have a great variety of drinks including Arizona teas, Gatorade, beer, and wine.

I stopped by on a Saturday evening after spending time at the nearby beach, and luckily it wasn’t too crowded. Ordering was quick and easy, and there was plenty of seating available both inside and outside. The outdoor patio was especially nice for enjoying the cool Newport Beach evening weather.

I ordered the specialty burrito with ahi poke, and it came out in less than 10 minutes. The burrito was huge, fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. Definitely one of the most refreshing meals I’ve had recently.

Great food, fast service, relaxed atmosphere, and no complaints at all — definitely a 5-star experience for me!”

“On a recent trip to England where I met the queen herself, she asked if I had been to TK Burger... I had not, but I promised to go first thing when I got back.

The atmosphere is local, friendly, and inviting besides a bull dog that relieved itself right out front.

The fries are great, burger had really potential but was a little overcooked and dry for me. The burger as a hole was juicy though.

This burger was like a shampoo'y head dip... almost doing the thing but not quite. Still stoked though, you know?”

It was off the charts musically and Kenny is such a talented singer and musician. When I closed my eyes I thought Elton was singing. The band was amazing too. That guitar player that I don’t remember his name, played a few solo guitar riffs that had everyone in the room clapping. The sold out venue was electric with the sound of Elton John’s deep cuts that I would never have heard live. So amazingly well done!!!! I left with a big smile on my face. The omakase-style experience lets the chef guide the meal, which means you get a thoughtful progression of flavors instead of just ordering off a menu. Every bite feels intentional, from delicate cuts of sashimi to perfectly seasoned nigiri.

The atmosphere adds to the experience too. It’s a smaller, more personal sushi bar, which makes it feel focused and calm rather than rushed or commercial. You can actually watch the chefs work, and there’s a level of attention to detail that makes the meal feel special rather than routine.

Service is another strong point—attentive without being overwhelming. The pacing of the meal is well handled, and you never feel like you’re waiting too long or being rushed through courses.

The only real downside is the price, which is on the higher end, and the limited seating, which means reservations are important. But that’s expected for this kind of quality.

Overall: fresh, precise, and beautifully executed sushi with a refined omakase experience. An easy 5/5 for anyone serious about Japanese cuisine.”

The bar itself is lovely in terms of appearance and the seating is bar or lounge, but I felt the chairs where we sat were spaced a bit far apart and, due to their size, we couldn't correct that easily. It made it somewhat hard to talk without speaking loud enough to feel self conscious in the mostly quiet space.

I was also disappointed in their list of Irish whiskeys, though they did have an extensive list of American and Japanese whiskeys, bourbons, and scotchs. I ended up having wine because of the lack of interesting Irish whiskey.

I am uncertain if the quiet was a result of the time when we were there or if it is consistently that way.”
