Classic dive bar across the parking lot from the beach in Newport. I normally order a special sandwich, pickled egg and a draft beer. The draft beer is always good, they pour a lot of drafts so it is always fresh and ice cold. Bar service so order at the bar and either sit / stand there (it's often very crowded so barstools can be hard to come by. Or sit at a booth if there's one available.
A great tradition at Blackie's ever since I was surfing the waves in the 1970's. Had the "Special Sandwich" on a Saturday afternoon and had nice, friendly service and no wait!

Great atmosphere.Fun fact: Iconic Bar, the surf are is named Blackies after the bar. It’s got a bunch of history along the walls. A place to stop and get a beer after surfing. ?Dog friendly.
