Sessions West Coast Deli is a great spot for a beach sandwich, offering unique sandwiches that are often craved, especially the Moddock Mellee with sprouts. The wait can be a little long for a big group in the summer, and prices are a little higher than some would like, but the food is recommended. First-time visitors in Newport loved the stack and the Cuban for a little spice. The drinks, including a vanilla cold brew latte and a white chocolate mocha cold, were outstanding. For food, the OG breakfast sandwich is a repeat order, while the gringo burrito was just okay and needed to be better seasoned, though it was on the pricier side. The place always seems busy with great service, a very casual vibe, and good music. A former chicken noodle soup was described as one of the best—simple, super flavorful, and comforting. It was replaced with cheddar broccoli soup, but many still think about that chicken noodle soup. Sessions West Coast Deli is also a new favorite stop at Fashion Island, with a great happy hour, solid beer and food options, and a sandwich and soup combo that was really good. The service is always friendly.
