If you're looking for one of the true Newport Beach institutions, Malarky's Irish Pub is a place you simply can't skip. It's been part of the Peninsula for decades, and there's a reason locals, tourists, beachgoers, and regulars continue coming back year after year. We had a great experience at Malarky’s Irish Pub. We stopped by to watch a World Cup game, and the atmosphere was fantastic—energetic, lively, and full of passionate fans. It was the perfect place to enjoy the match.

Malarky's Irish Pub in Newport Beach is a popular spot for both locals and visitors, known for its good food and friendly service. The restaurant features a family and dog-friendly patio during the day, while at night, it becomes lively with a young crowd. The pub's menu includes favorites like Irish stew, BLT with extra bacon, popcorn chicken, and burgers, especially the pub burgers with added bacon. Customers often praise the attentive staff, including a bartender who is very helpful. Recent visitors enjoyed the Irish stew and fish and chips, with some noting the fish and chips had too much breading. The pub recently underwent upgrades to add more room for food and drinks, making it a great place to dine and relax. Whether stopping by for a cold Guinness, wings, or onion rings, Malarky's Irish Pub offers a welcoming atmosphere with tasty food and good drinks in Newport Beach. The atmosphere is reminiscent of real Irish pubs on the Emerald Isle, with strong drinks and greasy grub setting the scene. The new addition of an enclosed patio with TVs provides extra seating for guests to enjoy the harbor views and good times with friends. Friendly staff, including helpful bartenders and welcoming parking attendants, contribute to a trustworthy and enjoyable experience. Overall, Malarky's combines lively Irish pub charm with a dive bar vibe, making it the ultimate beach-after-party spot for those looking to unwind with great food, drinks, and a fun, relaxed environment.
