After two great dinner at Bee’s Knees we order take out. Same excellent food.
Very tasty, nice outdoor space. The only negative is parking. I circled the area (including the lots) 6 times before finding parking.

Bee's Knees Southern Kitchen is a quaint small restaurant tucked back behind Lido Island on the peninsula, reminiscent of Old Newport Beach. The food is southern style with a modern twist, offering home style cooking with good size portions. Menu highlights include the scallion pinwheels, BBQ ribs, Jidori chicken, beignets, fried tomatoes and corn, and the mud pie, which is the best dessert in Newport Beach. The service is great and very attentive, with extremely kind staff who make special occasions like anniversaries very special. The patio weather is perfect, and the mood lighting and music are fantastic, playing banger after banger. It can be a little loud when football is on, but everyone is having fun. This is a great find for breakfast, lunch, or brunch, and diners frequently return to try more of the many options on the menu.
