“For the past four years, my family has made the pilgrimage to Newport for Thanksgiving week. Every time, I make a point to hit Stacks. I love the food, the outdoor seating, the vibe, and the Mexican Spiced Hot Chocolate. Loco Moco - 9/10 - this is my go to here. Make sure to get it with the Fried Rice. Strawberries and Cream Waffle - 10/10 - best waffle I've ever had (but I do love strawberries!)Banana Pancake - 10/10 - I didn't have this, but my adult daughter said it was the best pancake she has ever had. And she's a pancake nut. Mexican Spice Hot Chocolate- 10/10 - I just love this. I always order it in a to-go cup. Great hot chocolate with a hit of cinnamon.“
“Beautiful view of the harbor and lights across the way. Good sized portions and food was tasty but not over the top fantastic. $9 valet parking.Parking: It's a busy road. I didn't see any area for self parking. Valet cost $9 on Thursday evening.“
“I've only been here twice and each time, the: Service has been amazing! Food tastes great --fresh, well-seasoned. Portions -- rather small (but I guess it's about the quality that counts hehe), so if you're on the brink of ordering that extra something, I'd say go for it LOL“
“OMG!!!! So delicious.... My husband and I had the hungry faka plate to share and that plate could have fed 3-4 people. Everything was perfectly cooked and so yummy. The service was amazing definitely with aloha. If your in there area definitely worth checking out. It's like a food court of different food ethics. But easy to find. We definitely would return. Pictures only say so much too.“
“Great customer service & delicious, freshly made food. We tried the Spicy Ahi Tuna bowl which was bursting with flavor & spice, also tried the linguisa burrito with salsa & sour cream..delicious! Finally, we got the loco moco (double order) which was also full of flavor.“
“The cashier there , is always there .He has such a positive attitude even though he works all the time . Iv been going there for 6 years. Iv never had a different cashier . Great dude! . The food has never ever disappointed me or my family. The cooks do a fantastic job keeping the favors the same. I hate going somewhere and some day the food is different. Thank you all for what you do, Stephanie, Freddy, kelley, and baby Guillermo. We all get extra Mac salad !“
“Holy. Mole.I was getting ready to have a hearty dinner as I did some of my work. And then I took my first bite.Infinitely tender, decadent, scrumptious salmon overwhelmed all of my senses. It was perfectly mixed with avocado and spicy mayo in such a way that it made me just put all of my work away as I focused on the bowl.Damn.You don’t get many days on Earth eating a meal like this.12/10. The worker was also kind enough to let me split the bowl between separate bases.“
“This place is a gem! Part of an indoor co-op. Food is bomb, fresh, and ready fast. Pricing is a little high but it is Newport so it's to be expected across the board. Service was friendly and helpful.Highly recommend them for great Hawaiian food in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa.“
“If you enjoy fried chicken or the comforts of Hawaiian food then you gotta visit Da Hawaiian Kitchen. Every meal I’ve had here has been delicious and satisfying. Their fried chicken is a must get because of the unique twist they add that includes a sweet and spicy kick. Their staff is always nice and friendly when I’ve visited. If you’re ever in the area I would recommend dropping by… you won’t be disappointed.“
“This place is amazing!! My daughter and I cannot eat out a lot because of multiple allergies and this Hispanic girl we didn't get her name but she was so kind and accommodating kept checking on us the service was top notch we really enjoyed ourselves and we will drive the 20 minutes to go to that location it is so worth it!!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free blueberry pancakes and waffles“
“One of my two favorite poke places in OCLove this place, the food quality is always fantastic and food quality is consistent.Service is friendly and welcome. The prices are very reasonable.I have tried many bowls, they are all great, and the Traditional Shoyu is probably my favorite. Don't overlook the handrolls which are great as well. The Poke Nachos are a good change of pace.“
“Unsuspecting good Hawaiian food! Now is this the best? No. I ordered the fried chicken. I upgraded to the spam fried rice, obviously. The cabbage salad is sooo good. Their Mac salad is good as well. The chicken needs sauce. They have house hot sauce and teriyaki. I mixed them to create this amazing sauce. Next time I'm in the area I'll come back.“
“I happened to be here for taco Tuesday. Everything was delicious and very fresh. The service from the bartender & waitress was excellent. Thank you both for the recommendations!Next time I'm back in Huntington Beach, I'll pay you a visit.“
“One of my favorite poke spots so far! I've been trying other places but I always keep coming back to this one. They have standard pricing but they give SO MUCH food! Avocado is free and they have lots of options. They always fill my plate up and I'm always so full before finishing the bowl. Their fish is fresh as well and just overall tastes really good. They don't skimp out on anything. I really recommend everyone to try them out!“
“This is our second visit to this restaurant and we just have to order the Da “Spicy” Plate again because it has the best combination. This plate comes with a combination of their Guava Chili Pepper Chicken, Spicy Ahi Poke, Crispy Korean Chicken, Rice & Mac Salad. Both chickens are worth trying, they’re so good. The spicy ahi poke sauce is sticky, and sweet, with a little hint of spiciness! If you want to try a little bit of everything this plate has the best combination as you can try 3 different things from their menu. Definitely coming back again!“
“Perfect in EVERY way. No other poke joint comes close - lucky you , you found this high quality one of a kind mow.Fresh, authentic , generous potions with warm , impressive service. Insanely fast too!We like to roll a mere 100 yards down to the beach from this place and watch the waves with a bowl.A weekly visit is a minimum for me and mine here, and it is always where we take our visitors. They are always impressed and eager to return too.“
“This spot is super cute! The inside has an amazing Hawaii theme with board games and lots of tables. The girl taking my order was super sweet! I had not been here before but they have a lot of good meals I saw like spam bowls, musubis, and drinks. My drink was super yummy and good price for 24 oz.“
“I am a big fan of the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon. Me and my crew stopped here Thursday for lunch and it was delicious. I got a Spicy Tuna bowl. Fresh made tuna with a great taste. Place is inexpensive place. Great staff and food. I will be a regular.“
“An absolute gem! The menu has so many great options and at a great price too! The staff is very attentive and presentable, and the welcoming atmosphere creates an enjoyable setting for dining. So happy to have found this place and will definitely be returning.“
“Came by on a weekday night about 30 minutes til closing time. The dining area was closed off for dine-in (Togo only). Had the 2-Protein choice and had the Tuna and Salmon with all of the toppings along with a splash of Yuzu Citrus. Overall it was a decent meal in terms of taste but the portion sizes were a bit small.“
“First off the fish is so fresh and delicious!!! The texture is outstanding and the taste is divine, I can’t recommend the salmon enough!!! For first time visitors that don’t know what to order I definitely recommend the poke burrito it’s so fresh and delightful with every bite sometimes I find myself ordering 2, but wishing I bought a 3rd or even a 4th! They also have baked options for those out there whom aren’t ready to make the leap into their raw menu! Poke Me is a must visit location everyone should experience at least once (a week) you will definitely not regret it!!!“
“We doordashed Chicken Katsu, Macaroni Salad, and Spam Musubi. They're open late at night which is pretty nice! I believe this is a ghost kitchen but they're still so delicious and give generous portions! One of my go to spots to order. Chicken Katsu (5/5): Macaroni salad is creamy and delicious, pairs well with the rice and katsu. Katsu is crispy, moist, and well seasoned. We love how much katsu comes in one box! Its enough for two people to share and still have leftovers. Spam Musubi (3/5): Spam was really soft and a bit undercooked. Lots of rice compared to spam ratio.“
“Octavio provided exceptional service during my recent visit. His kindness and respectfulness were evident from the moment I entered the establishment. He warmly welcomed me and offered comprehensive information about the menu, ensuring a delightful dining experience. His attentive service has certainly left a positive impression, and I look forward to returning in the future. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the establishment contributed to a memorable and enjoyable visit.“
“Just wanted to further showcase this place is amazing. The owner is super friendly and the food is the best. Love this place for real. The chicken katsu is my favorite with the golden tiger smoothieFeatures: Good spot for classic Hawaiian and good teas“
“I grew up in San Diego having L&L be my family’s go-to Hawaiian spot. Now that I live a few blocks away from this location in Costa Mesa, it’s such a treat! Quick and friendly customer service; and delicious food. I always call ahead and it’s ready when I arrive. Between 5-10 minutes.I like getting the 2 piece Katsu or Spam Musubi, it’s pretty filling for a quick lunch - and a great value. The mini katsu is huge, it’s a great value with a hefty portion. They even have a deal on Tuesday $11-$12 for mini katsu and a drink. That will definitely be enough for lunch AND dinner. Just cook extra rice at home and there’s plenty for 2 meals or to share.I have dined in here a few times too and it’s always clean! This is a great spot“
“The Hawaiian BBQ bowl was quite tasty. Honestly, it's a great deal for the amount of food and chicken that you get. It was well sauced, I didn't have to add any additional teriyaki or BBQ sauce. The chicken was well cooked and the portions were large for the price that you pay. We only got the bowls though so I can't comment on anything else.“
“I was able to come here twice while on business. I did enjoy all the variety of toppings to the 3 or 5 protein bowl. The rice was great for the foundation.I tried the volcano 2 and spicy mayo combo and couldn't really taste the heat at all. Probably needed more flavoring. A but bland. But the bowl size and portion for 5 protein is good. 15.99. Adding an avocado baby scoop is probably worth it at 1.50 extra to give your bowl extra texture. Enjoyed the bowl. Spice up the sauces.“
“I was so happy to find this place during my diet. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. There are so many choices, even my favorite wild bluefin tuna. Try to avoid lunchtime, but they move quickly, and you don't have to wait too long to be served, even if the line looks long.“
“Absolutely the best place for poke in the Orange County. The choices and toppings are better than any other poke place I’ve been to so far. Been coming here for years and the manager Francisco is the greatest. The service from him and his staff is the best. Build your own poke and get all the toppings you want. A regular is good enough but if you are really hungry get a large. Topping are greater than other places and include spicy tuna and spicy crab. Choose the baja sauce or mix two sauce together, either way you’ll be satisfied.“
“Dined with a coworker. Got a small bowl and a drink, cost about $18.Many protein options and the poke sauce is not to be missed. You can add as many toppings as you like and the bowl is super filling, you could squeeze two meals out of it.The location is convenient but parking lot small and could be tough to find a spot during the lunch rush.Staff were friendly and helpful. Coke branded soda fountain.Parking: Small lot, tight cornersKid-friendliness: Unless your kid eats poke not much else in the way of options“
“No complaints-- at all!All the expectancies of taste in a poke bowl was SERVED by MauiPoki. The service was quick and easy, especially because I had gone around 11:30 AM for lunch. It gradually becomes busier after 12PM for the lunch rush, but no worries! They're fast with service and there are a lot of seats available. Music was also at the perfect volume and didn't overpower people's voices.I've been eating poke bowls since I was 10 & I would say that I'm very picky with admitting to good bowls. However, I did not have a single issue with this one! The salmon was fresh, the avocado was all green, and the sushi rice was perfectly moist. Would recommend for a hearty and fulfilling lunch break!“
“My friend and I both chose the small bowl (2 fish). There’s plenty of food. Many choices of each category including sauce. I went with signature; friend went with volcano 2 which is medium spicy and liked it. I chose non-spicy because, with pickled ginger and seaweed salad it is already flavorful enough for me. No line at 5pm on Friday. Food is fresh.Recommended! Also plan to try this chain at other locations.Parking: Arrive around 5pm. Plenty of parking.“
“Great, friendly staff with a desire to make your bowl jus the way you like it. Fresh ingredients and clean. Pick your base of white or brown rice, spring mix or combination of two. Large chose of toppings and good selection of pure proteins. No premixed here. I love choosing my level of heat to my bowl and how it's tossed with the proteins. I recently watched a new employee learn the placement of the toppings. Who knew there was a system to adding your favorite toppings to your poke bowl? It's this kind of detail and care that I highly recommend OC Poke. Ps while they never brought back the inside seating after Covid, there are tables outside that share a lovely courtyard area.“
