“This place is so cute!! My friends and I were looking for a place to get some yummy fresh food after a day of paddle boarding. We also had a dog with us so needed to find a place that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly. This place was perfect! The food was incredible. Our server Matthew was so attentive and recommended some great plates for us. We had the oysters, the bread and lobster butter that was TO DIE FOR! The steak salad, and the barramuti fish was great ! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.”

The waiting time was around 20-40 minutes.We ordered Drew’s Biscuit Sliders come with 2 of Mama's famous bacon biscuits, stuffed with sausage (you can choose other protein options like their fried chicken, bacon, etc.), 2 Scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese, Mama's potatoes, Mama's country gravy. The gravy is kind of bland on its own, but once you eat it with the biscuit sliders, it complements each other very well.One more thing worth noting, the Mama’s potatoes that come with it are AMAZING, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so flavorful!?The other dish we ordered is Mama’s Famous Chicken N’ Waffle, the chicken is a little bit dry, but the gravy that comes with it kind of helps. I heard good things about it from my mom, and had to come see if what the other Yelpers were saying were true.Yes, the pho comes out super fast, and the broth is great, no extra seasonings needed.I ordered PHO YOUR WAY with brisket, flank, and ribeye.I love that each person gets their own small and reasonably-sized plate of greens and things.I also think the pho tasted even more refreshing with the spring onions they put on top when it comes out (this is not typical).What I like most about Pho Lab on top of everything else is that the 3 different staffers I interacted with were all so kind and quick to help. And the establishment is super clean.”

“It’s not everyday I completely fall in love with a cafe. But Coffee Whipped is special. They have a modest menu of simple Asian classic paninis, with a Korean Vietnamese ish twist. The word “classic” being the operating word. I’ve tried most of their sandwiches now and each is exceptional. Their coffee is also delicious, silky smooth and rich. It’s hard to describe but this place is just.. comforting. From its Huntington Beach monopoly gift set, to its traditional potato chips, thinly sliced pickles, and adorable community bulletin board, it feels like this cafe is trying to start a movement. This is not one of those places you’ll just come once, you’ll crave the flavors again and again! (Try the Bok Bok chicken Panini, the bulgogi egg and cheese, the chipotle chicken and also the dalgona coffee!)”

“Food: Corned beef, Saurkraut, Mustard on Rye Looking for a solid sandwich that is not another one of those subway, Mike's or Jimmy's kind of spots? Fritz as I like to call it a solid choice. The sandwich I ordered was made fresh, used some good ingredients and best of all... was delicious. The pickle bar on the side is a nice touch and allows you to load up on some pickled goodness. The shop: Inside there is plenty of tables, and some even have small games you can play while you hang out and eat. There is also a fridge that has premade frozen meals that one can come in a buy for later. Notes: My sandwich and chips was about $15 total. That's about the same as any other sandwich place as far as pricing goes.”

“Sometimes the simplest foods can be the hardest to prepare well, yet Point 11 Kabob accomplishes this and elevates the process to an art form. How to create a perfect dining experience with beef kabob, rice, and a tomato? Using quality ingredients and traditional cooking method help. The meat was superbly seasoned and cooked, and it's full of flavor and never dry. The rice was fluffy and light, but nuanced with fragrant spice and butter. The grilled tomato was so juicy and roasted that it's the best accompaniment to the earthiness of the meat. Even with the takeout order, we were supplied with two packets of sumac to sprinkle on our beef and chicken kabob. We ordered ahead by phone and the chef was just putting on the finishing touches when I arrived. The food was piping hot even after the 18-minute drive home. The dining area was spacious, and there were a few tables outside. Parking was not an issue in this shopping center.”

As others have recommended, anything with their carne asada is delicious, the meat melts in your mouth with a burst of flavor. “I always love coming to Tama Sushi when I’m in town! When I lived around here, it was my go to sushi place. My favorite rolls are the Hey Baby roll and the Deluxe Crunchy roll. I love that they have lots of vegan options as well! ?Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan sushi and appetizers! I have had some and they have delicious vegan rolls”

She was a big reason I decided to come back after my first visit. The place is always very clean and open, and the menu has just enough variety to give everybody something to try while not being overwhelming. Plus, it always feels like I'm paying for quality without spending an unreasonable amount. Will be making this my go-to stop!”

The food is fresh, the quality is amazing and the taste is like we are eating in Greece... we are fussy eaters and with a family of chefs, we are critical of Greek restaurants and we were surprised. We had the fish from Greece and it was cooked exactly like it was done in Greece. The Saganaki was exceptional and the Prawn/Shrimp Saganaki was mouth watering. From the Octopus to the beets to the Greek salad and Mousaka...YUM! Give it a go and you won't be disappointed as it's obvious they use quality products and no seed oils... Olive oil used everywhere and it enhances the flavours and taste... we will be back.”

My favorites are the veal Gorgonzola or veal Carciofi, and Braciola Neapolitana, thin sliced beef stuffed and rolled. Before your meal bread is served with a flavorful chimichuri sauce. There is a wine bar for more relaxed dining with music or the more formal restaurant side. The full menu is offered on both sides. The service is outstanding. If you want your “Cheers” moment, they remember your name when you come in.”

“In town for the #expowest2024 show and decided to spend the weekend in Huntington, Beach. Looked up of lots of places and landed on The Black Trumpet…I’m in the food business and travel a lot, so when eating out it takes a high level of execution to really get me excited! This place absolutely exceeded my expectations on every level! We tried a little of everything, and we were blown away….filet empanadas were absolutely the best I’ve ever had hands down! From the first course to dessert with a nice port, we were just in love! Service was impeccable and atmosphere was just perfect! So glad we made the stop, and it will certainly be my go to next time I’m in town!”
“Recently attended an event here. Was amazed at the overall quality and beauty of this establishment. There was detail galore throughout this place to amaze one’s gun or hot rod appeal. We were catered during the event which was not bad. Refried beans were probably the one real major disappointment in the meal. The other items were lacking good seasoning and flavor. The exception, was the backed chicken, pretty darn good. The adult beverages were a bit light handed on the pour. The service could have had some better holiday cheer, but overall not poor. Didn’t have a chance to utilize their shooting range or services, but looked great! It’s a gem in the middle of an industrial park area. Look it up and see what they offer and check it out.”

“I've been patronizing this Del Taco for 16 years. It's consistently had the best quality of any Del Taco I've eaten at. Tonight (around 6:45 pm at the drive through) I tried the new honey Chipotle BBQ brisket quesadilla, mango pineapple lemonade popper, and funnel fries. Del Taco has the best meat of any chain Mexican fast food restaurant I've ever had. This was no exception! The shredded brisket was delicious and there was just the right amount of it on the quesadilla. The funnel fries were the perfect accompaniment, hot and fresh out of the fryer. The mango lemonade popper was tasty and refreshing. The service is always friendly, they always get my order right. I will continue as a regular, and highly recommend.”
“I love Del taco for their cheap food and most definitely their service the girl who was as sweet as her name Praline. Was all by herself, just killing it. If she were overwhelmed, I could not tell by the way she handled herself. One of my tacos tipped out of the wrapper and my daughter said it came like that, but I do not know if it believed her but money is tight so i came back to have it replace. Praline was there alone and handled the situation with kindness. Replace the taco but i know if it were me and i were alone and someone wanted a taco replaced i would not of been as matured, nice as she was all by myself. Cudos to praline for doing an amazing job!!!”

“I still think about the sushi I had here. In fact I have dreams about it.I was born and raised in Hawaii where fresh seafood was always available and always delicious rarely ever frozen. I’ve also been stationed in Japan for a few years and ate a looot of sushi.Coming back to the states and moving to California, finding good sushi that can compare had been difficult but who knew a place like this was so near to where I lived??Definitely gonna become a regular here!Thank you!”

“We arrived at 830 on a friday, there were only 2 tables of couples, by 930 it was packed with people waiting outside. The food was amazing, honestly the freshest and most delicious conchas I've had in a long time! The food was amazing. Every bite was filled with flavor and balanced perfectly. The bandit iced latte was so good, it was juat sweet enough. I love that the menu isnt overwhelming with a ton of options, it has the right amount of options. The cafe was very clean and vibrant. I will say the music was a bit loud for me, loved what was playing but the volume was just a little too high for my liking. Im honestly in love with this place and cant wait to try more things on the menu!”

“I found Moonwood Coffee in the same shopping center of a coin shop that is awesome to visit. I ended up wanting a treat and some coffee, so I walked over. The storefront has a bit of an awkward entrance away from the other business doors...but keep walking to find it because this spot is totally amazing! I ordered a cedar cinnamon iced latte and the espresso was absolutely perfectly paired with the cinnamon and brown sugar flavors. They enhanced each other perfectly and my husband who doesn't even like coffee or espresso very much was also addicted. We tried a cinnamon roll, which had this flaky dough and well balanced frosting that was not overly sweet. I was in love with that. We also tried an almond bear claw, which I thought was just ok but my husband loved it even more than the cinnamon roll. There were tons of other treats here as this is also a bakery and they do catering! I would highly recommended checking it out. The decor was also really cute and service was perfect. Just be aware the shop is small and there is minimal spots to sit and enjoy inside or on the patio, so plan on taking the treats to go ideally!”

“EXCELLENT SERVICE ! My wife and I decided to try this cafe for lunch on Sunday after our walk around a nearby nature reserve. It's situated inside a quaint old world shopping village. We parked our wheels and then walked around the shops looking for this cafe. At around 2pm we found it and went inside. VERY CUTE ! The interior had a nice comforting look with a few Middle Eastern accents and we could see yummy food in the display case...such as Borek. A friendly cashier named Ayla helped me at the cashier desk when I ordered our lunch....2 x Flat Whites with hazelnut syrup ( Torani ), 1 x Turkish Spinach Borek and 1 x Turkish Feta Cheese Borek. There were a number of dessert choices inside the display cabinet but I thought we eat some solid food first and see how we felt. It wasn't real busy when we first arrived but all of a sudden more and more people were dropping in for coffees. Ayla made our Flat Whites and placed them on the service counter for me to collect. QUITE GOOD ! Our flat whites were well made by baristas Ayla.....they had a nice robust flavor ! After a few minutes Ayla had warmed up our Boreks and they were ready to eat. DELICIOUS ! We shared half of each one and both were delicious. DESSERT ! I saw the tray of Baklava on the cashier counter when I ordered...I love it so I ordered one and a Creme Brulee Bar for my wife. My fresh made Baklava tasted fabulous. On the other hand my wife's Creme Brûlée Bar was too firm....it needed to be served at room temperature. Overall we were very happy with our lunch visit here !”
“Friend recommendation. This Mexican joint is in downtown HB by PCH and the beach. So parking is limited as there is also a market until 9Pm. Environment is nice but something seems familiar? That's right. This place is similar to Los Chollos of Anaheim and Fullerton. For taco Tuesday, you get 3 of the premium cuts for 11 bucks (if paying cash). Paying by cash gets you a discount. They do have fountain drinks so that's a plus and they have the usuals like Los Chollos including the veggie/sauce bar. Depending on when you come in determines how long you have to wait. Busiest time would equal at least 40+ minute wait. Got arrachera, cocina and pork belly. Choose the pork belly because you get a lot of meat and that's a plus. It's very crispy and delicious. Overall, this place is good. It's just finding parking is going to be the dead giveaway but I like it. Would go back if I'm in the area and craving good tacos.”

Both dogs were prepared perfectly but my fries were a little oily. Still tasted good but oily enough that I didn't finish them all. Parking is a bit snug. Dining room is nicely sized and was clean. The bathrooms were open and needed a little attention. Other than that, works great if you have a hot dog, corn dog, chili dog, chili burger, chili cheese dog, chili cheese burger, fries, etc. craving. ;) Worked for me, hope you get a good meal. Enjoy!”

I tried the carnitas in a burrito once and it wasn't my favorite. I usually go with the Cali tacos as opposed to the traditional Mexican or the crunchy shell options although variety is good too. I wasn't crazy about the fish tacos, but the shrimp is good. The tamales were a touch expensive for what you get but they're tasty enough. The red sauce is spicier than the green but I think both are good. The red has a smoky flavor like it's chipotle dominant, the green seems more like a good tomatillo salsa with some citrus flavor.”

Very fresh fish - we ordered salmon, halibut, mackerel, bluefin, yellow tail … eel, and salmon Kama every bite was amazing - our chef was very personable. Very good knife skills. I’m convinced that a lot of the sushi restaurants in this area have fake reviews or people just don’t have any idea what good sushi tastes like. Looked up of lots of places and landed on The Black Trumpet…I’m in the food business and travel a lot, so when eating out it takes a high level of execution to really get me excited! This place absolutely exceeded my expectations on every level! We tried a little of everything, and we were blown away….filet empanadas were absolutely the best I’ve ever had hands down! From the first course to dessert with a nice port, we were just in love! Service was impeccable and atmosphere was just perfect! So glad we made the stop, and it will certainly be my go to next time I’m in town!”

We were catered during the event which was not bad. Refried beans were probably the one real major disappointment in the meal. The other items were lacking good seasoning and flavor. The exception, was the backed chicken, pretty darn good. The adult beverages were a bit light handed on the pour. The service could have had some better holiday cheer, but overall not poor. Pamela's tea room had high tea options as well as a regular British themed menu. The high tea was one of the best. Hearty tea sandwiches (you have your choice of fillings. We chose the salmon, egg salad, chicken cashew and tuna chutney) many selections for tea but we went with Pamela's blend which went perfect with our food. You are served your own sandwiches but we shared the combo of our choices. The scones were amazing. Apologize for no pics, but we started eating and catching up before I even thought about taking pics. Atmosphere is super cute too. A little shopping area is located in the back with a variety of treats from British candy to season packets for shepherd's pie. Gluten free and other dietary restrictions can be made at the time if your reservation. Come check it out!”

“FUN LUNCH ! Gee it's been a few years since we've been up in this neck of the woods. My wife and I decided to ride our bikes along the Huntington Beach boardwalk on Sunday. That meant loading up our eBikes on the tow hitch bike rack and driving about 30 minutes to Huntington State Beach. WHICH WE DID ! We arrived at a state run parking lot and paid $15 to park my wife's Telsa Y all day and as the parking attendant said.....we could come and go as often as we pleased. It had been well over 10 years since we rode bikes around here.....almost everything looked unfamiliar. Of course we were hoping to find a cafe or something where we could stop for lunch. WE RODE ! There was not much going on so far as eateries on the beach...the Ospreys were gettin' a free feed. After about 9 miles we saw in front of us a ton of eBikes parked outside a lively looking spot in the middle of nowhere....we were now at Bolsa Chico State Beach my wife informed me. My wife lived at Sunset Beach as a teenager and knew this area very well. There was certainly more than a few people here enjoyin' lunch and hanging out with a beer. LET'S DO IT ! It was almost 2.30pm when we squeezed our 2 eBikes into a small vacant space in front of the fence. I went inside to check out the menu...lots of stuff incl burger & fries which suited us fine for a late lunch. LIVE MUSIC ! I noticed a stage tent was set up and it looked like the band was getting ready to crank it up. I checked with my wife about us gettin' burgers & fries..no prob ! I fronted up at the cashier window and a lovely cashier named Patty took my order for 1 x [#9] CHEESEBURGER & FRIES ( Beef Patty, Cheese, 1000 Island Sauce, Lettuce, Onions and Pickles on a Brioche Bun with a side of Fries and 1 x [#8] BOLSA BURGER & FRIES ( Beef Patty, Cheese, 1000 Island Sauce, Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions and Pickles on a Brioche Bun with a side of Fries ). I paid by credit card and Patty gave me a ready buzzer. VERY IMPRESSIVE ! It was pretty busy inside the fenced confines of Beach City Provisions but we managed to nail a couple of spots at a bar height table with a view of the band. WHAM BAM ! The ready buzzer went berserk within 10 minutes and I headed over to collect our lunch order. LOOKIN' GOOD ! To be honest I wasn't expecting anything too flash but our burgers & fries looked darn good ! In fact there was a guy set up selling craft beer and more at a table close by....I don't drink and ride. PRETTY GOOD ! We enjoyed our well made burgers...fresh top quality ingredients. Gee whizz the huge fries looked hand cut and tasted great. THE BAND WAS PLAYIN' ! The band was playing some great classic rock and doing a bloody good job on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I met up with Luis the owner and told him this felt like a beer garden at an Aussie Pub. WE LOVED IT !”
