“This is hands-down one of the best places for convenient Mediterranean food that's affordable portion-wise and is quality and delicious. It's a hidden gem and workers are super nice to accommodate you. I really enjoyed the Chicken Kabobs which were decently sized, juicy, and well-seasoned. Hummus pairs well with the falafel. The falafel surprisingly had less of bean/chickpea taste and more cilantro (?)Overall, definitely coming back whenever I'm down for some fresh chicken kabobs with a side of pita. PLUS, they have 2 types of pita breads: white and wheat. I'm also coming back for the wheat pita“
“We are Greeks from Australia and we wanted to try this restaurant and WOW... The food is fresh, the quality is amazing and the taste is like we are eating in Greece... we are fussy eaters and with a family of chefs, we are critical of Greek restaurants and we were surprised. We had the fish from Greece and it was cooked exactly like it was done in Greece. The Saganaki was exceptional and the Prawn/Shrimp Saganaki was mouth watering. From the Octopus to the beets to the Greek salad and Mousaka...YUM! Give it a go and you won't be disappointed as it's obvious they use quality products and no seed oils... Olive oil used everywhere and it enhances the flavours and taste... we will be back.“
“I've been going here since they've opened and this is by far the best Lebanese food around! It makes you feel like you've had a home-cooked meal the owner. Bruno was beyond nice and welcoming. It's so refreshing when the food matches the excellent service. I would highly recommend this place my kids love the food as well. It's always a hit.“
“Literally, my favorite place to eat. I'm sad that I only recently discovered this gem of a restaurant. Bobby and Soheila are fantastic people. I'd recommend the hummus, best ever. Also, ask about their stews. Their fesenjān will change your life. No hyperbole here, try it.“
“Amazing guys preparing amazing food. Besides the obvious Gyros and chicken shawerma Gyros, the homemade Hummus is made like grandma would make at home.Baklava is made in-house from scratch, and it is not ready-made that stays for weeks on the shelf. If Falafel is your thing, you hit the jackpot with this place. Try to pair falafel with hummus and some hot sauce and veggies with hot pita and wow .Vegetarian options: Salad, hummus, falafel.“
“For a fast casual spot with price points under $20 per dish, this is a great quick lunch or dinner.I ordered the chicken kabob plate for $15.49 which is a great deal. The portion is large and I can eat 2 meals from one plate. The chicken was moist and juicy served with a large portion of rice plus hummus and tabouli or green salad with a warm pita bread. The house made red and green salas were really good too! Service was fast and friendly too! I'd definitely return for a quick lunch or dinner when I'm in the area!“
“They currently have a Friday falafel deal where you can get five pieces for only one dollar the staff are super nice and the falafel was honestly worth it for a dollar and it also came with some tahini sauce on the side which was pretty good.Although this is more of a grab and go place with no seating inside, you can sit outside and there's this grass nice area with good benches.“
“Beautiful restaurant! Definitely a first date spot. There's like a glow in the ambiance, soft lit place. The food portions are just right. We ordered the Cauliflower dish with almonds, so delicious. Also the pasta with lobster and wellington dish, special of the week, both very filling and flavorful. Will definitely come back!“
“Wow! Absolutely amazing customer service and food! I want to give a very special acknowledgment to our cashier who helped us today, Helen. She truly represents the company in such a high standard and really is dedicated to making sure all guest are welcomed and helped with a genuine character. I will definitely be back and let everyone know how this business and its team is doing everything right. Thank you Luna grill and thank you Helen For your above outstanding work and customer service.“
“This place is simply amazing. The best lamb/beef gyros I've ever in my life, The staff is super friendly and just hearing the conversations the owner has with each and every customer is so nice. I'm not easily impressed but RUN to this place!!!“
“Lovely little place with authentic Mediterranean Food and great value for money. For me as a car and motorcycle lover of course nice as sitting outside on a sunny Saturday afternoon you see a lot of great rides passing. Would have loved to see the waitress in a little bit a better mood, but let’s be honest - we came for the food and not the waitress. So for foodies definitely recommended.“
“My second time here. Enjoyed my tasty salmon entree with their salad and hummus. We sat outside for lunch which was a delight. Service and staff personable. We'll see you again. Thank you.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free options.“
“Delicious Mediterranean food and always friendly customer service! Their Gyro wrap is like a giant Mediterranean burrito. Love their house salad too. The owners care about their customers and about quality of the food they serve. Highly recommend!“
“The food is worth driving an hour in traffic for. I’m not nearby, nor do I work in the area, but when I really want the best shawarma- Zankou is the best at it.I can’t say that other restaurants who tout shawarma as an offering are lying or not authentic. It’s accurate to the region/country of that restaurant and then, I have to factor each family will have its own recipe. Does any one cornbread or meatloaf or pasta taste the same, in spite of authenticity? That said, no place to date, no matter what region or family or spin has come close to beating zankou at the kabab, lule (basically a ground beef kabab), or chicken tarna (the most popular) or beef or full chicken as Zankou has…Their recipes are top notchBasmati rice top notchTabouli ton notch. Tabouli is a fine parsley salad that for some reason or another is hit or miss in any Mediterranean cuisine. Having the perfect ratio of parsley, tomato, onion, and cucumber, and the right amount (substantial and also essential: seasoning (lemon, salt, oil), are keys to the success, along with the very fine chop.Hummus- greatMutabal - an eggplant version of hummus (my favorite) and they make it outstandingThe wraps are great, if it’s your first time, get a falafal wrap and get a beef, chicken tarna, lule or kabab plate it tastes great days later and it’s easier than driving back for more. lol. ?This particular location is outdated in terms of scenery inside. It wouldn’t hurt them to upgrade it- it looks the same way as it did when I was a kid- so 20 years later is a good time to bring it up to date. Finally, while ordering ahead is probably smarter if you are ordering for lunch, but it’s more pricey. To be expected because of operation costs/wages etc. just bear this in mind. On a normal day: not busy but not slow, takes about 15 minutes (ordering directly from the cashier to your name being called).Well worth your money. You can use any left overs and store it for the week. Make a salad dressing out of the extra tahini or use it for other sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Shawarma may never be the same anywhere else???Bon appetite?“
“I go here pretty much every Sunday to pick up lunch for myself and my family. Leah and Genaro have always been friendly and professional. Restaurant is always clean and there’s always more than a handful of people dining in. The food is cooked to order so I pretty fresh and it tastes great! Wait time for food is what you would expect and food always comes out hot.I suggest you stop by and give them a try…I think you’ll be happy you did.“
“I have been going to Athens West for several years. I've compared it to several other Greek spots, and it is by far the best for a fast food place. I've tried nearly all of their offerings, and they are quite good and fresh. I enjoy their food except for their falafel, which I prefer tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Theirs is dry and too firm. Other than that item, I would highly recommend it.“
“This place killed it. From the housemade pita bread to the special green sauce to the crunchy falafel, everything we had was terrific. Generous portions, friendly service. Don't forget the spicy potatoes!Another visit and all my previous opinions were confirmed. Really well executed food, accommodating staff, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.“
