All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. The 1/ 2 spicy chicken was absolutely delicious and the lentil soup was honestly some of the best I've had. (Don't tell my mom!) If you are ever in the vicinity, definitely swing by. I called to place an order and the gentleman on the phone answered all my questions and took the order with patience. He knew all the details of the dishes, ingredients, and preparation. My order was ready precisely on time and was fresh and still hot. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. I ordered two regular sized meals, but it was enough for at least 3 or 4 people. I've eaten Mediterranean food in several restaurants here in the US (Cali, Maryland, NY, Philly) some expensive and others cheap and even on the street but this was the best food I've ever tasted!!! Everything was perfect the rice, the meats, the salads, the sauces.... If I could I would eat there every day!

“Incredibly well tasting Turkish food. The best we have had on all of the West Coast!

The lentil soup is perfect. We tried the meatballs with cheese (kasarli kofte), çöp shish and ribeye shish kebab. The plates were beautifully filled with delicious rice, grilled tomara and spicy pepper and onions. All of kebabs were awesome.

I hope the owners get their own place soon and can put more tables and build their own environment.

I was greeted by a kind, middle-aged woman and handed a menu. While I was waiting for my order to be prepared. Two little kids ran up to the man in the kitchen and asked if he could open their orange soda for them, the clip for the soda was broken off so he gave them a new one. After watching this all go down in the distance, with a smile on my face, I made eye contact with the guy behind the counter & he offered me an orange soda :).Orange soda is my favorite. These are fully prepared meals/entrees at a fair price. There is NO DINING IN at this restaurant but don’t let it stop you. The owners and everyone who worked here couldn’t have been more sweet and kind to us.. They even let us taste a few things before we ordered since it was our first time and we didn’t know what a few of the dishes were. We ended up with 5 different good sized dishes for about $75.00 these were nice sized portions that 2 of us hungry adult guys ate for two nights in a row and were stuffed both meals so it was a great value ! What was also so amazing though was the taste. Everything was so fresh and wonderful I can’t say what I liked the best.. but I will say there was nothing I didn’t Love! The hummus, baba ganosh tasted like my mom’s old boyfriend from Syria used to make and the pasta with lentils was out of this world.
