“Cute place, great sushi, very fresh.
This is our favorite local spot, they even have a decent happy hour menu if you can get there before 5:30p. And a good deal with 99 cent Saporo (first one, after that it's still only $2.99).
Our favorites are the sashimi roll - no rice with the best sauce, and the truffle salmon carpaccio - with another delicious truffle oil sauce. We love the baked lobster roll, their ramen and udon are both good, and in the end it's not too pricey.“

“I've been coming to this restaurant pretty frequently when I have a craving for ramen. Every visit regardless to how long time time has passed, the quality of the food has not changed, and it's really consistent and umai.
My only complaint is the chicken karaage is not crispy enough, but other than the quality of the ramen makes up for all of it. I recommend the blaze ramen for anyone that likes a bit spicy.“

“My friends and I all ordered online, separately, and all of our items were done at the same time, in a very timely fashion! Everything was absolutely delicious, and portions are great too. Our favorites were: pork ramen, potstickers, mushroom tenders, and chicken (I can’t remember the exact flavor, but they were spicy and delicious). Definitely need to come back!“

“My teenagers and I had the Motto Black, the Motto Red, and the Motto Special. All bowls were tasty and delicious. Noodles were fresh and the chaschu melted in your mouth. Staff was super friendly and attentive. I would recommend as a casual and family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.“

“Their mazemen is always my favorite. No matter is the chashu, the mince pork, runny eggs, ramen egg and their secret umami vinegar, everything is super tasty and even the green onions are amazing in the dish. I love how chewy their noddles are. It’s my favorite local noodle restaurant. Highly recommended.“

“As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can't eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.“

“The food is great. But this is the 2nd time I made it home & realized they forgot one of the items we ordered. They also forgot the sauces for 2 of our items. It’s a bummer because we really like the food, but question whether or not to return due to lack of attention to on line orders.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“Hokkaido Ramen Santouka has been one of my favorite ramen spots for over a decade, and after all these years, they still never fail when it comes to taste, consistency, and quality. Even after moving away from Southern California, every time I come back to visit, this is one of the first places I crave for pure nostalgia and comfort.
What makes Santouka so special is how incredibly consistent they are. The broth tastes exactly the same every single time you order it — rich, balanced, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with care and precision. That level of consistency over so many years is something truly rare and deserves respect. You can tell they take pride in preserving the authenticity and standards of traditional Japanese ramen.
The noodles always have the perfect texture, the chashu is tender and flavorful, and every bowl feels thoughtfully prepared. Nothing feels rushed or careless. Even when busy, the wait is usually reasonable and the quality never drops.
There is a reason Santouka has built such a loyal following. It is not just ramen — it is reliability, craftsmanship, and comfort in a bowl. The chefs and staff deserve so much credit for maintaining such a high standard for so many years. Places like this are hard to find nowadays.
If you want authentic ramen done right with consistency that keeps people coming back for decades, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is absolutely worth it every single time.“

“We were visiting from Seattle and wandered into Osaka Story completely by accident… which is now the best accident we’ve ever had.
The staff were so kind and friendly that we instantly felt like regulars, even though we’d just walked in off the street. The food was so good we came back the very next day like, “Hey, it’s us again, don’t mind us.” And the beef yaki udon? Chef’s kiss. Truly “I could write poetry about this noodle” levels of good.
We will absolutely be back—probably more often than is reasonable for people who don’t live here.“

“Don't let the affordable prices fool you—**Ramen Mira** is serving some of the best ramen we've had.
I grew up in Hawaii, have lived all over the country (including the Pacific Northwest), and I'm a total ramen snob. This place absolutely exceeded my expectations. The tonkotsu ramen was phenomenal, the gyoza was just as impressive, and everything came out quickly.
The service was outstanding, too. Huge thanks to **Gabriel** and **Rogelio** for taking such great care of us and making us feel so welcome.
Even my kid—who's somehow an even bigger food snob than I am—couldn't get enough of the tonkotsu broth and happily drank a ton of it. That's about the highest compliment a ramen place can get from our family!
They also serve complimentary cream puffs at the end of the meal, which was a really nice touch.
We drive up from Phoenix whenever we're heading to Disneyland, and Ramen Mira has officially become a must-stop for us. Delicious, authentic, fast, friendly, and an incredible value. Don't let the prices make you think you're sacrificing quality—you'll be getting top-notch ramen at an amazing price. We can't wait to come back!“

“An Evening at Kin Izakaya: Where Tradition Meets Ambiance In the culinary haven that our city embodies, Kin Izakaya emerges as a sanctuary of authentic Japanese flavors combined with the convivial spirit typical of Japan’s iconic gastropubs. It’s here that tradition and modernity collide to create not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring. The moment you step through the doors of Kin Izakaya, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimately comforting. The ambient lighting, coupled with rustic décor and understated oriental motifs, offers a welcoming reprieve from the city’s hustle and bustle. The soft murmur of patrons engaged in animated conversation sets the backdrop for an authentic izakaya experience. Kin Izakaya’s menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese fare and innovative culinary creations. The tapas-style dishes, perfect for sharing, encourage a communal dining experience. From the delicate flavors of their sashimi to the robust, savory notes found in their yakitori selection, there’s a delightful complexity in each dish presented. The agedashi tofu, with its perfect crispy exterior giving way to silken tofu within, is a testament to the chef’s prowess in honoring traditional flavors while serving contemporary palates.“

“Incredible food, service and atmosphere. We'll be back next week for the sea urchin udon.
Made it back for the sea urchin udon and the pork and radish soba. Both fantastic. Only 10nportions of the sea urchin so get there early. We got order number 9 of 10. Going to try our luck again next week before they stop serving it Tuesdays and Wednesdays, dinner only, in July.“

“Got Sushi is an amazing little spot to go to if you’re looking for high quality filling sushi rolls that get the job done. Not as high priced as other places which is great, but the quality still stands tall. I’m loving the vibes here, nothing but good energy so far from what we experienced. You even get Free 5 piece Gyoza with a $35 order :) We had two rolls each and it was enough to fill us up even though I feel like I should have taken one home lol Great customer service, can’t wait to go back and try more rolls and more drinks.“

They have a huge selection of sushi rolls, so there’s something for everyone, and everything we’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. The baked lobster roll is definitely worth ordering! The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and the atmosphere is relaxed. If you’re looking for great sushi without spending a fortune, this place is hard to beat. “If you’ve ever driven by this cozy Korean spot with traditional hanok-style windows and a constant line out the door, you’ll know why I’ve been curious about Hangari Kalguksu for a while. I finally caught a quiet weekday afternoon and went in right away.
The menu comes in Korean and English, but the English side is mostly phonetic, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t help much. I just pointed at the Korean menu and ordered their signature kalguksu ($17.99). They also offer sujebi, rice cake dumpling soup, cold noodles like buckwheat or soybean, plus classics like tteokbokki and fried snacks.
Banchan was simple yeolmu kimchi, light and refreshing. Then came the main event, a massive bowl of kalguksu, easily double the portion you’d expect, with a small side of barley rice (boribap). The broth was surprisingly clean and slightly sweet, loaded with shrimp, clams, potatoes, zucchini, and seaweed.
Pro tip: serve some noodles into your small bowl, then mix in their chili paste and sesame oil. It instantly levels up the flavor. Super comforting and honestly hard to stop eating so I ended up finishing the whole thing without realizing it.
Portions are huge, so sharing isn’t a bad idea. If you can’t finish, just ask for a to-go box.
They accept cash and Visa/Mastercard only.
Also worth noting, there’s another Hangari Kalguksu in LA (ktown) with a similar name and a more expanded menu. Not sure if they’re related, but something to keep in mind if you’re exploring different locations.“

Our family loves coming here regularly but the restaurant staff did an awesome job when we had a large party come in for a birthday. Service staff and chefs are so friendly and the fish quality is excellent.“
