“Cute atmosphere, employees were very relaxed and able to talk with each other (which I love), but also checked up on my boyfriend and I frequently, refilling our waters & drinks and making sure everything was yummy! They gave us our bill as soon as we were done, no waiting, service was great, quick, and the waitresses are very attentive + sweet! The food was 10/10. I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen, it was bomb!! The soft boiled egg was perfectly cooked, broth not too salty, just perfect!! Noodles are delicious and flavorful! My bf got the spicy habanero ramen and it was also delicious!! We got the salmon roll and I got a dragon roll for my mom (which she loved). Everything 10/10, highly recommend for sushi + ramen.“

“I got spicy ramen (the last one in the list) and it was pretty good. The portions are adequate, I didn’t feel like I was gonna explode, but I felt comfortably full. They have a lot of vegetarian options. The prices are on the higher side though, probably due to its location. Otherwise it’s pretty good.
Vegetarian options: Almost all of their ramen have a vegetarian equivalent, and all the broth is vegetarian.
Parking: There are a lot of parking on either side of the mall.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor and there are no steps. Access would be easy for someone on a wheelchair.“

“Great spot even after the name change! Food is still the same. Portion size is good, and you still get that bit of rice after for the leftover sauce.
The servers were quick and attentive, food also came out quickly. There wasn't too long of a wait either!“

“As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can't eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“Okay, okay…yes, first ramen experience! I know, I know…I’m not a long noodle guy and def not a slurper, so I’ve always kinda avoided it. Had the chicken broth here, and it was really good. This is for the peeps who have yet to try…do it. Tastes amazing and you won’t regret it. Still not sure how to cut down the large pieces of chicken in the broth with chopsticks, but that’ll be for my second visit.“

“Santouka Ramen is hands down one of the best ramen spots you’ll find inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. Their signature Shio Ramen with Toroniku pork cheek is simply outstanding—rich, creamy broth that’s perfectly balanced and never overwhelming, paired with chewy noodles cooked just right. The Toroniku pork is unbelievably tender and flavorful, melting in your mouth with every bite.
What I love most is that the ramen is not spicy, making it a comforting bowl that everyone in the family can enjoy. Portions are generous, and if you grab the combo with a rice bowl on the side, it feels like a complete, satisfying meal. The Takoyaki was also delicious—crispy on the outside, soft inside, and topped with the perfect sauce and bonito flakes, making it the perfect side dish to the ramen.
The consistency here is impressive—every visit tastes just as good as the last. If you’re at Mitsuwa and craving authentic Japanese ramen, Santouka is a must-try, five-star experience.“
“I found this ramen place, and there are so many kinds to choose from. The ramen tastes excellent and is fun. I recommend trying rose buldak ramen and adding corn, cheese, and onion. It was amazing! The staff was so friendly. I will definitely come back and try other ramen too!! 🍜😋💯“

“An Evening at Kin Izakaya: Where Tradition Meets Ambiance In the culinary haven that our city embodies, Kin Izakaya emerges as a sanctuary of authentic Japanese flavors combined with the convivial spirit typical of Japan’s iconic gastropubs. It’s here that tradition and modernity collide to create not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring. The moment you step through the doors of Kin Izakaya, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimately comforting. The ambient lighting, coupled with rustic décor and understated oriental motifs, offers a welcoming reprieve from the city’s hustle and bustle. The soft murmur of patrons engaged in animated conversation sets the backdrop for an authentic izakaya experience. Kin Izakaya’s menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese fare and innovative culinary creations. The tapas-style dishes, perfect for sharing, encourage a communal dining experience. From the delicate flavors of their sashimi to the robust, savory notes found in their yakitori selection, there’s a delightful complexity in each dish presented. The agedashi tofu, with its perfect crispy exterior giving way to silken tofu within, is a testament to the chef’s prowess in honoring traditional flavors while serving contemporary palates.“

“I tried the Spicy Black Ramen and really enjoyed it. The noodles were on the thinner side but still nicely cooked, and the chashu was cooked perfectly with a great crispy texture. Overall, the ramen was very flavorful and satisfying.
One big plus is that for an extra $7.95, you can add a California roll, which was also surprisingly good and paired well with the ramen.
Definitely a place I would recommend.“

“Late late lunch on a really hot October afternoon.
These days, it's quite a challenge to find restaurants open mid to late afternoon (Most Japanese cuisine places frequently close to reset for dinner service).
Very simple non-fancy indoors, metal chairs and standard four-top tables, we needed a high chair which they provided.
Ordering is by QR code, and we used my phone to do that.
we asked our waiter to please separate the add-ons for Mentai Ebi Rice Bowl - a shrimp tempura with rice dish plus poached egg (for the toddler).
Brothless Ramen is quite an interesting concept - it's not a completely dry type of noodle dish, but rather served with a very rich sauce.
I got the mentaiko Cream mazesoba (Brothless ramen with chewy mochi noodle, mentaiko (Pollock fish fish roe), tobiko (Flying fish roe), spring mix (salad greens), seaweed (Nori), and green onion in a creamy sauce base).
This dish is only very mildly spicy.
I added a poached egg to my bowl. It was quite satisfying to break it and stir it into the noodles for even more creaminess!
My companion got the Spicy Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba :
Brothless ramen with chashu (Roast pork - very tender), nori, and ajitama (Soft-boiled egg marinated in soy). Plus, spicy minced pork (it was piled high!), green onions, chives, fish powder, seaweed, garlic, and a poached egg. Free scoop of rice is for soaking up the saucy mazesoba (the menu states dine in only, but our waiter gave it to us to take home with our leftovers).
The cold tofu appetizer was so refreshing and a great starter.
Mentai takoyaki was delicious.
Also had plain edamame and French fries _ because there is no true kid's menu.
Very busy location - a lot of pedestrians and car traffic (this plaza has numerous food spots and a 99 Ranch market).“

“Tucked into a quiet plaza near a karaoke bar, this ramen spot is easy to miss but a lifesaver on cold nights. The tonkotsu broth was thick and creamy, with a deep pork flavor that lingered perfectly. I got the spicy level 2—it was hot but not overwhelming. Gyoza were crisp on the outside, juicy inside. The vibe is calm and welcoming, perfect for solo diners“

“Delicious ramen. We tried the black garlic one and our daughter tried the shio with added egg. Small size is perfect for a child or if not too hungry. Husband and I shared a large and it was plenty for both. Inside Mitzuwa. After eating your meal you can get dessert inside the store. Very convenient.“

“Vegan ramen with vegan gyoza as an appetizer. Your welcome. But seriously this place is amazingly delicious. Manager is great, the level of service from this man is above and beyond, the server forgot a side of rice(for my daughter) and something else small like a side of broth I can’t remember now, but the order was for takeout and I didn’t check the food before I left because they’re always on point. When I got home I checked and then I called to have the items credited to me for next time but, the manager refunded the money to my credit card and he insisted the food be delivered to me. I gave him my address and he personally delivered to my house in Orange from Tustin. Hiro Nori is and will always be my go to spot.“
