“My favorite pick-me-up on days when I don’t want to cook. Some of the best ramen I’ve had I. My life, and best ramen in OC, certainly! Staff are friendly. Not nearly as long of a wait as other locations and plenty of outdoor seating. I appreciate that they add the service fee into the bill for dine-in to save you the hassle of guessing tip amounts. They seem to have very solid employee benefits, too. I love their pork sliders and tonkotsu ramen!“

“I got spicy ramen (the last one in the list) and it was pretty good. The portions are adequate, I didn’t feel like I was gonna explode, but I felt comfortably full. They have a lot of vegetarian options. The prices are on the higher side though, probably due to its location. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

Vegetarian options: Almost all of their ramen have a vegetarian equivalent, and all the broth is vegetarian.

Parking: There are a lot of parking on either side of the mall.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor and there are no steps. Access would be easy for someone on a wheelchair.“

“The ramen is absolutely fantastic, especially the creamy broth with cashew milk. Unfortunately, the staff does not communicate well and that takes away from the overall experience. Also, when we visited at 4pm there was some sus dude hanging out in the back, definitely not working. I have no idea who that dude was but there should be some staff review.“

“I recently visited WADAYA - Fullerton and had a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant had a modern, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere that made it a great place to enjoy Japanese cuisine. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my visit.

“My child and I moved into the area in late 2022. We've been coming here since the place opened. It's a very nice environment and feel with the music playing. The deals offered are as they say, a deal. I always get the tonkatsu ramen with the chicken karaage. The karaage is very tender and the ramen amazing. I've always had the best service here and food is spectacular. Make sure to always try the deep fried ice cream. I could live off that stuff if I could.“

“I went in here on a whim after not eating all day, craving soup and seeing the long line. I figured, “why not?” The line was lengthy, but to speed the process, there was someone outside providing the menu and answering questions. They also. Kept in consideration that I was eating solo, so when a seat at the bar opened up, it was given to me.

As soon as I sat down, my server confirmed what I wrote and I KID YOU NOT, my food was in front of me a minute later. There was water on the table on front of you so you didn’t have to ask for refills, and all the extra condiments were on the table as well. I simply got to enjoy my food and just had to ask for the check and paid on my way out. This was my kind of dining!“

“As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can't eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.“

“What is surprisingly fun place. First time, we've been to a make your own ramen place. The worker was so friendly in helping us pick out the noodles we wanted, how to heat it and the toppings and everything. They had a great variety of different types of ramen.

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. “Just realized after the fact that this is a local Japanese ramen chain, I haven’t been to Hokkaido so I can’t comment on the authenticity but it’s a pretty good bowl of ramen. I got the D set (shio) and it came with a side of chahan. Very filling and very tasty, the staff was great too.“

The staff informed us that we could order on our phone, which was neat because we can browse the menu and order at our own pace. In addition to the mazesoba bowls we ordered, we also got the matcha latte, which was amazing! It had a good strength and was not milky at all! The udon is super consistent with their other location OkiDoki in Tustin. Such amazingly good udon and flavorful broth.

We went on Aug 4th and starting today, and only on Tues and Wed nights for dinner they serve 10 portions of Prime Beef and Garlic Udon. SO GOOD. So worth the price tag and wait. We even took the broth home lol.

“A top ramen spot in Orange County located minutes from Downtown Fullerton. Go to dish is the Tonkotsu Ramen. Love the consistency of the noodles and the rich flavored broth. “I've tried ramen all over California, other states, and even in Japan, but Santouka's spicy miso ramen still remains my favorite bowl of all time.

Perhaps my taste buds have been biased by nostalgia over the 8 years I've been coming to this location, but I still stand behind my opinion. There is something so unique about the flavor of the ramen here that I haven't really been able to find anywhere else. Other trendy ramen spots and their signature ramens start blending together in my mind, unlike Santouka.

Santouka offers simple, solid bowls of ramen. They don't claim to be the best, and they really shouldn't need to. Honestly, I don't even think it's the best ramen I've had in terms of quality objectively. But I still always find myself coming back.

I miss the cash-only days with the friendly, but no-nonsense, old lady at the front counter, but the ramen still tastes the exact same as I always remember it.

I also want to highlight that the Irvine location gives WAY more noodles compared to other Santouka locations (like Costa Mesa).“

Came across this spot on Google and it looked like exactly what I needed.. and after experiencing.. was truly IT. The Tonkotsu here is so creamy and delicious, wish I ordered 3 extra pieces of chashu instead of just 1, some of the best i've ever had.. ohh and the bamboo shoots and black garlic were such a great add.. “We were a little concerned about the poor reviews but decided to give it a chance since we were in the area! We came on a Sunday evening and the food came out very quickly. Our Shoyu ramen was delicious, with generous toppings of bamboo shoots and vegetables. The ramen egg was also cooked perfectly. We also got the pork bun, and broccoli side dishes which turned out great. Service was average, it was not rude but not particularly warm either. And we got everything we needed. I would visit again!“
