“It was our first time dining here, and overall the food was good and well-prepared. The ramen uses thin noodles, and the broth was flavorful. We noticed many tables ordering sushi, so we’d love to try that next time as well. We also ordered the fried chicken this time — crispy and paired perfectly with the sauce.“

“I got spicy ramen (the last one in the list) and it was pretty good. The portions are adequate, I didn’t feel like I was gonna explode, but I felt comfortably full. They have a lot of vegetarian options. The prices are on the higher side though, probably due to its location. Otherwise it’s pretty good.
Vegetarian options: Almost all of their ramen have a vegetarian equivalent, and all the broth is vegetarian.
Parking: There are a lot of parking on either side of the mall.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor and there are no steps. Access would be easy for someone on a wheelchair.“

“I go around trying different food placed and dont normally post because I normally dont think many places are post worthy. This place on the other hand is amazing. The place is small but the staff is very tentative. The food taste amazing. Me and my wife got ramen and both of our eggs came with that perfect jammy center. This is a place I cant wait to come back to.“

“Great spot even after the name change! Food is still the same. Portion size is good, and you still get that bit of rice after for the leftover sauce.
The servers were quick and attentive, food also came out quickly. There wasn't too long of a wait either!“

“As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can't eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.“

“Okay, okay…yes, first ramen experience! I know, I know…I’m not a long noodle guy and def not a slurper, so I’ve always kinda avoided it. Had the chicken broth here, and it was really good. This is for the peeps who have yet to try…do it. Tastes amazing and you won’t regret it. Still not sure how to cut down the large pieces of chicken in the broth with chopsticks, but that’ll be for my second visit.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“
“I found this ramen place, and there are so many kinds to choose from. The ramen tastes excellent and is fun. I recommend trying rose buldak ramen and adding corn, cheese, and onion. It was amazing! The staff was so friendly. I will definitely come back and try other ramen too!! 🍜😋💯“

“I tried the Spicy Black Ramen and really enjoyed it. The noodles were on the thinner side but still nicely cooked, and the chashu was cooked perfectly with a great crispy texture. Overall, the ramen was very flavorful and satisfying.
One big plus is that for an extra $7.95, you can add a California roll, which was also surprisingly good and paired well with the ramen.
Definitely a place I would recommend.“

“Filling portions, accommodating staff, and most importantly delicious food. Izakaya style allows for small eats if needed (especially during happy hour, see posted). Their bento portions are more than fair and their staff will work with you no matter the circumstances. Major recommendation for casual dine-in and/or after work celebration.“

“Late late lunch on a really hot October afternoon.
These days, it's quite a challenge to find restaurants open mid to late afternoon (Most Japanese cuisine places frequently close to reset for dinner service).
Very simple non-fancy indoors, metal chairs and standard four-top tables, we needed a high chair which they provided.
Ordering is by QR code, and we used my phone to do that.
we asked our waiter to please separate the add-ons for Mentai Ebi Rice Bowl - a shrimp tempura with rice dish plus poached egg (for the toddler).
Brothless Ramen is quite an interesting concept - it's not a completely dry type of noodle dish, but rather served with a very rich sauce.
I got the mentaiko Cream mazesoba (Brothless ramen with chewy mochi noodle, mentaiko (Pollock fish fish roe), tobiko (Flying fish roe), spring mix (salad greens), seaweed (Nori), and green onion in a creamy sauce base).
This dish is only very mildly spicy.
I added a poached egg to my bowl. It was quite satisfying to break it and stir it into the noodles for even more creaminess!
My companion got the Spicy Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba :
Brothless ramen with chashu (Roast pork - very tender), nori, and ajitama (Soft-boiled egg marinated in soy). Plus, spicy minced pork (it was piled high!), green onions, chives, fish powder, seaweed, garlic, and a poached egg. Free scoop of rice is for soaking up the saucy mazesoba (the menu states dine in only, but our waiter gave it to us to take home with our leftovers).
The cold tofu appetizer was so refreshing and a great starter.
Mentai takoyaki was delicious.
Also had plain edamame and French fries _ because there is no true kid's menu.
Very busy location - a lot of pedestrians and car traffic (this plaza has numerous food spots and a 99 Ranch market).“

“Hokkaido Ramen Santouka has been one of my favorite ramen spots for over a decade, and after all these years, they still never fail when it comes to taste, consistency, and quality. Even after moving away from Southern California, every time I come back to visit, this is one of the first places I crave for pure nostalgia and comfort.
What makes Santouka so special is how incredibly consistent they are. The broth tastes exactly the same every single time you order it — rich, balanced, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with care and precision. That level of consistency over so many years is something truly rare and deserves respect. You can tell they take pride in preserving the authenticity and standards of traditional Japanese ramen.
The noodles always have the perfect texture, the chashu is tender and flavorful, and every bowl feels thoughtfully prepared. Nothing feels rushed or careless. Even when busy, the wait is usually reasonable and the quality never drops.
There is a reason Santouka has built such a loyal following. It is not just ramen — it is reliability, craftsmanship, and comfort in a bowl. The chefs and staff deserve so much credit for maintaining such a high standard for so many years. Places like this are hard to find nowadays.
If you want authentic ramen done right with consistency that keeps people coming back for decades, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is absolutely worth it every single time.“

“Delicious ramen. We tried the black garlic one and our daughter tried the shio with added egg. Small size is perfect for a child or if not too hungry. Husband and I shared a large and it was plenty for both. Inside Mitzuwa. After eating your meal you can get dessert inside the store. Very convenient.“

“Thank you, Hiro Nori Craft Ramen, and Yelp OC, for hooking it up with some ramen. I went to the Tustin location. Love the vibe and the interior. The music was great. The noise level was great. The employees are great. They are so patient and explain the menu really well. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen that came with pork chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprouts, and half an egg. They also give you a side of garlic and house spicy sauce. The broth was amazing. I can drink for days!!! I love the flavor when I add the garlic. It was like a garlic paste. Would definitely get it again. The Chrispy Rice with Spicy Tuna came with spicy tuna, avocado, jalapeno, and eel sauce. It was so fresh. They used good quality tuna. I'd go back. I recommend it.“
