Had this so many times, the mentaiko one is BOMBBBBB and I like how they gave you a little side of rice to go with the sauce in the end😆
my friends and I love going here! perfect place that fills the mazamen craving so flavorful and usually doesn’t have a line
Came here right after dinner rush, around 7:30pm. We were able to be seated right away. The staff informed us that we could order on our phone, which was neat because we can browse the menu and order at our own pace. In addition to the mazesoba bowls we ordered, we also got the matcha latte, which was amazing! It had a good strength and was not milky at all! I get matcha every time I come here and it never disappoints. Eric was very helpful and attended to us properly whenever...read full review

Menya Hanabi Irvine is a casual Japanese restaurant specializing in Nagoya-style mazesoba, a dry noodle dish that emphasizes bold flavors and mixing everything together. The restaurant offers a modern, simple setting ideal for quick, satisfying meals. Its menu focuses on different variations of mazesoba, with the deluxe version being especially popular. The noodles are thick, chewy, and hold up well when combined with toppings such as minced pork, chashu, egg, seaweed, green onions, fish powder, and garlic. The rich sauce and toppings create a flavorful, hearty bowl, which can be balanced with a splash of vinegar to cut through the heaviness.
Beyond mazesoba, the side dishes like takoyaki and potato croquettes are crispy and freshly made, making them great additions. The matcha drinks are a lighter option that complements the meal. The restaurant is known for its good quality ingredients and strong flavors, making it a favorite for those craving hearty, flavorful noodles.
The ordering process is straightforward, though it can get busy during peak hours, so arriving early helps avoid waits. Portions are filling, and the dishes are rich and satisfying. Many visitors appreciate the variety of options, including curry mazesoba and newer recipes like Tantan noodles, which can be made less oily upon request. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere add to the positive experience, making Menya Hanabi Irvine a standout spot for fans of bold noodle dishes and a less common style of ramen.
