“My teenagers and I had the Motto Black, the Motto Red, and the Motto Special. All bowls were tasty and delicious. Noodles were fresh and the chaschu melted in your mouth. Staff was super friendly and attentive. I would recommend as a casual and family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.“

“Checked out Gomen Ramen in Stanton and gotta say this was legit some of the best ramen I've had in a minute. Didn't really know what to expect going in, but we tried a few different dishes and came away really impressed. My favorite was easily the Hiyashi Chuka, which is a chilled ramen topped with veggies and served with a spicy sauce you pour over it. The flavor was amazing and had this really clean, refreshing taste to it. Definitely one of the better ramen dishes I've had recently. The Kakuni Deluxe Ramen was another standout. It's loaded with pork belly and shredded pork kakuni, and the broth was really flavorful. We also tried the Oroshi Soba, Tenshin Fried Rice, and Combo Tempura, which were all good additions to the meal. The restaurant itself has a cool manga and anime theme going on, which I really liked too. Overall, really enjoyed everything and was pleasantly surprised by how good the ramen was. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.“

“I went in here on a whim after not eating all day, craving soup and seeing the long line. I figured, “why not?” The line was lengthy, but to speed the process, there was someone outside providing the menu and answering questions. They also. Kept in consideration that I was eating solo, so when a seat at the bar opened up, it was given to me.

As soon as I sat down, my server confirmed what I wrote and I KID YOU NOT, my food was in front of me a minute later. There was water on the table on front of you so you didn’t have to ask for refills, and all the extra condiments were on the table as well. I simply got to enjoy my food and just had to ask for the check and paid on my way out. This was my kind of dining!“

“As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can't eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.“

“The service is friendly and attentive, and I've had good experiences here with the sushi. Today came to try the ramen, had a not so good experience ordering it here before and thought maybe it was just an off day, unfortunately it wasn't. I'm sort of a ramen snob, and we ordered the Tonkotsu and the Black ramen. Both were disappointing.the black ramen has a pork broth like the tonkotsu, but it seemed overly salty, as if the base was primarily soy sauce, and the regular tonkotsu although was a bit smoother still was lacking in flavor. The noodles were chewy and seemed almost as if they used noodles from a Top Ramen package. I'll continue to visit them for sushi on occasion, but that will be my last ramen attempt here.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“Just realized after the fact that this is a local Japanese ramen chain, I haven’t been to Hokkaido so I can’t comment on the authenticity but it’s a pretty good bowl of ramen. I got the D set (shio) and it came with a side of chahan. Very filling and very tasty, the staff was great too.“

“My favorite pick-me-up on days when I don’t want to cook. Some of the best ramen I’ve had I. My life, and best ramen in OC, certainly! Staff are friendly. Not nearly as long of a wait as other locations and plenty of outdoor seating. I appreciate that they add the service fee into the bill for dine-in to save you the hassle of guessing tip amounts. They seem to have very solid employee benefits, too. I love their pork sliders and tonkotsu ramen!“

“Sushi Mura has the best ramen in Buena Park. This was my first time here. I've been to most ramen places in Buena Park, and didn't realize Sushi Mura is a hidden gem Sushi and ramen place near me.

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The menu had more options than I'll ever be able try. I had the special sake and appetiser deal for $30 and was not disappointed.

Sushi Mura has the best Spicy Tonkatsu in Buena Park, hands down. I'm a little picky and asked for not sprouts or mushrooms, and was not disappointed.“

“I have been here many times over nearly 10 years. The quality of food is consistently excellent. If you love chunks-ryori in Japan, you won’t be disappointed (in my case I was so delighted that I brought my parents who were visiting from Japan, who were thrilled to have real Japanese food.“

“If you’ve ever driven by this cozy Korean spot with traditional hanok-style windows and a constant line out the door, you’ll know why I’ve been curious about Hangari Kalguksu for a while. I finally caught a quiet weekday afternoon and went in right away.

The menu comes in Korean and English, but the English side is mostly phonetic, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t help much. I just pointed at the Korean menu and ordered their signature kalguksu ($17.99). They also offer sujebi, rice cake dumpling soup, cold noodles like buckwheat or soybean, plus classics like tteokbokki and fried snacks.

Banchan was simple yeolmu kimchi, light and refreshing. Then came the main event, a massive bowl of kalguksu, easily double the portion you’d expect, with a small side of barley rice (boribap). The broth was surprisingly clean and slightly sweet, loaded with shrimp, clams, potatoes, zucchini, and seaweed.

Pro tip: serve some noodles into your small bowl, then mix in their chili paste and sesame oil. It instantly levels up the flavor. Super comforting and honestly hard to stop eating so I ended up finishing the whole thing without realizing it.

Portions are huge, so sharing isn’t a bad idea. If you can’t finish, just ask for a to-go box.

Also worth noting, there’s another Hangari Kalguksu in LA (ktown) with a similar name and a more expanded menu. Not sure if they’re related, but something to keep in mind if you’re exploring different locations.“

“Whenever I’m in town for work, this is my first stop. Coworkers recommend all sorts of ramen restaurants, but this place lives rent-free in my head so I always go back. Fantastic service and some of my favorite ramen. Cannot stop thinking the habanero miso ramen!!“

“I've been coming to this restaurant pretty frequently when I have a craving for ramen. Every visit regardless to how long time time has passed, the quality of the food has not changed, and it's really consistent and umai.

My only complaint is the chicken karaage is not crispy enough, but other than the quality of the ramen makes up for all of it. I recommend the blaze ramen for anyone that likes a bit spicy.“

“We were a little concerned about the poor reviews but decided to give it a chance since we were in the area! We came on a Sunday evening and the food came out very quickly. Our Shoyu ramen was delicious, with generous toppings of bamboo shoots and vegetables. The ramen egg was also cooked perfectly. We also got the pork bun, and broccoli side dishes which turned out great. Service was average, it was not rude but not particularly warm either. And we got everything we needed. I would visit again!“

“I got spicy ramen (the last one in the list) and it was pretty good. The portions are adequate, I didn’t feel like I was gonna explode, but I felt comfortably full. They have a lot of vegetarian options. The prices are on the higher side though, probably due to its location. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

Vegetarian options: Almost all of their ramen have a vegetarian equivalent, and all the broth is vegetarian.

Parking: There are a lot of parking on either side of the mall.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor and there are no steps. Access would be easy for someone on a wheelchair.“

“Great value for $29.99! The sushi is made fresh to order, with generous slices of fish and less rice. The salmon and tuna sashimi are fresh and delicious. The mussels were my favorite—I kept ordering more! The shrimp tempura was also freshly fried, crispy outside and tender inside. A great variety of choices for a satisfying all-you-can-eat meal!“
