“I made 3 visits to Aura before leaving this review and I’m a huge fan because they serve my two favorite foods in the world: sushi and hot pot. We always get the sukiyaki broth because we love the sweet and savory flavor profile. All the meats are thin and delicious, but you’ll get a thicker cut with the bulgogi. Highly recommend upgrading to the premium menu though because you’ll get the omakase experience - it’s delicious! Service has always been kind, but requires some patience when the crowd picks up. Compared to when they first opened, I see improvements and you can even order your food on a tablet now and some items are self-serve to keep you happy while you wait on the kitchen. Totally worth giving a try!“

“Their food is fantastic, my favorites were the Chilean Sea Bass, Black Cod, and Grilled Salmon. The Black Cod especially stood out; it was prepared in the authentic Japanese style, and I've never found anything like it anywhere else in the Huntington Beach area. The flavors were rich and absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere made me feel like I’m in Japan, the decor and ambiance were immersive and peaceful, it added to the overall experience. I’m definitely going to bring my family here next time“

“The service is friendly and attentive, and I've had good experiences here with the sushi. Today came to try the ramen, had a not so good experience ordering it here before and thought maybe it was just an off day, unfortunately it wasn't. I'm sort of a ramen snob, and we ordered the Tonkotsu and the Black ramen. Both were disappointing.the black ramen has a pork broth like the tonkotsu, but it seemed overly salty, as if the base was primarily soy sauce, and the regular tonkotsu although was a bit smoother still was lacking in flavor. The noodles were chewy and seemed almost as if they used noodles from a Top Ramen package. I'll continue to visit them for sushi on occasion, but that will be my last ramen attempt here.“

“What a wonderful restaurant! The food here is incredible! We especially love the California Rolls and Japanese soda. When they prepare tuna it's quite a show and so much fun! What's best is how kind they are to children. My son has become friends with the owners/ staff over the years, and always leaves with a huge smile on his face. 5 stars!!!“

“The food was the best Japanese food that I’ve eaten. The Salmon Collar was so delicious as well as the California roll. I’ve also eaten the Bento Box for lunch and dinner which is a really good value and also delicious! My husband and I highly recommend Niya Sushi!“

“My daughter and I have been on a teriyaki spree during our trip, so we decided to give this place a try. The online menu doesn't show everything they offer. Besides the usual chicken and beef teriyaki bowls and plates, they also have wraps, salads, and quesadillas. You can also get brunch/breakfast items like waffles, crepes, pancakes, and smoothies. A very wide range of options. The shrimp options are crossed off the menu in the store.

The lady behind the counter was super nice and patient as I couldn't decide what I wanted. My daughter got a chicken wrap, and I got a half-and-half beef and chicken teriyaki bowl. The meat was well-cooked (the beef was not chewy but very tender), but the teriyaki sauce is served on the side or on top of the meat, not seared and marinated in it. It was good but not as good as some other teriyaki places we visited, and the price was the same.

The store was very clean, and everything was made to order. There is a small seating area outside. We would eat here again if we didn't have other options.

“If you’re craving teriyaki chicken and beef, this place is it. First bite, noticed how good the quality of meat is. The prices are so reasonable and good for how good the quality is and how filling it is. I got the beef and chicken plate and I usually eat a lot, but I was so full with a quarter of it still left. This was 1000% a solid teriyaki bowl and will come back for more.“

It was my first time and I will be going back a lot more had a great time getting to chat with the owner and it really gives that family community vibe that we all hope for when we dine at a restaurant I give it a 5 star experience!“

“Been coming here for years since they first opened. Quality is always good every single time. Staff is always friendly. Parking right in front is easy. They add new stuff to the menu often, I stick to the same old stuff for the most part but did grab the spicy garlic shrimp today which I definitely recommend.

They offer stuff other spots don’t like black rice. Grilled chicken.“

“Wow. Seated promptly on a busy Thursday night, drinks and orders were taken and received in a timely manner, and waiter had great solutions to food preference. Restroom was clean, open windows provided a nice airy breeze even though the place was packed. Food portions were decent. I have nothing negative to say! I've tried multiple restaurant's salmon carpaccio dish, and this one was different in a tasty way. Yum!“
