The ramen is the real standout. It tastes authentically made — rich, complex broths that feel like they've been simmering all day. My personal favorite is the spicy tonkotsu ramen: bold, creamy, and just the right amount of heat. The yellowtail rolls are another fave, and the daily specials are always worth asking about.

“My work office orders lunch from here about 3 times a week and we love this place. I always get the chicken/veggie bowl and it's always filling and delicious. Lots of others in the office get the burgers, ramen, and tacos. Everything has tasted great and we are happy to support the kind people that work there!“

“My daughter and I have been on a teriyaki spree during our trip, so we decided to give this place a try. The online menu doesn't show everything they offer. Besides the usual chicken and beef teriyaki bowls and plates, they also have wraps, salads, and quesadillas. You can also get brunch/breakfast items like waffles, crepes, pancakes, and smoothies. A very wide range of options. The shrimp options are crossed off the menu in the store.

The lady behind the counter was super nice and patient as I couldn't decide what I wanted. My daughter got a chicken wrap, and I got a half-and-half beef and chicken teriyaki bowl. The meat was well-cooked (the beef was not chewy but very tender), but the teriyaki sauce is served on the side or on top of the meat, not seared and marinated in it. It was good but not as good as some other teriyaki places we visited, and the price was the same.

The store was very clean, and everything was made to order. There is a small seating area outside. We would eat here again if we didn't have other options.

“The service is friendly and attentive, and I've had good experiences here with the sushi. Today came to try the ramen, had a not so good experience ordering it here before and thought maybe it was just an off day, unfortunately it wasn't. I'm sort of a ramen snob, and we ordered the Tonkotsu and the Black ramen. Both were disappointing.the black ramen has a pork broth like the tonkotsu, but it seemed overly salty, as if the base was primarily soy sauce, and the regular tonkotsu although was a bit smoother still was lacking in flavor. The noodles were chewy and seemed almost as if they used noodles from a Top Ramen package. I'll continue to visit them for sushi on occasion, but that will be my last ramen attempt here.“

“The food was the best Japanese food that I’ve eaten. The Salmon Collar was so delicious as well as the California roll. I’ve also eaten the Bento Box for lunch and dinner which is a really good value and also delicious! My husband and I highly recommend Niya Sushi!“

“First time going to an ayce that had both hot pot and sushi! We went for lunch and decided to get their omakase that had 8 different premium nigiris to try. Very pretty and melts on the tongue. They also have different cuts of meat to choose for your hot pot as well. The food was very filling and we ended the meal with some mochi ice cream.“

“Their food is fantastic, my favorites were the Chilean Sea Bass, Black Cod, and Grilled Salmon. The Black Cod especially stood out; it was prepared in the authentic Japanese style, and I've never found anything like it anywhere else in the Huntington Beach area. The flavors were rich and absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere made me feel like I’m in Japan, the decor and ambiance were immersive and peaceful, it added to the overall experience. I’m definitely going to bring my family here next time“

The two owners provide incredible hospitality and family vibes. Many regulars come just for a casual dine and enjoy libations.
Their specials changes based on the quality and seasons of the fish, so don't be afraid to ask the chefs like Juro and Yuichi.
Their miruga, shima aji,i and black code sushi was in season, which was chefs kiss!

“If you’re craving teriyaki chicken and beef, this place is it. First bite, noticed how good the quality of meat is. The prices are so reasonable and good for how good the quality is and how filling it is. I got the beef and chicken plate and I usually eat a lot, but I was so full with a quarter of it still left. “The servers were really attentive and helpful with introducing us with the menu we chose the premium options and I don’t think I can go back the meats esp the special Wagyu and ribeye were really good not chewy at all plus the sushi was a hit I love it so much but I had to save room for the rest of the options they have !! They also got appetizers you can order through the tablet, beer on the tap, and mocktails overall good experience and the staff was able to hold down their busy restaurant while making sure everyone is being helped!“
