First, the chef is friendly, and most importantly, the reasonably priced rolls and sushi are very satisfying.

I ordered based on the server's recommendations, and overall, I was pleased with the dishes. Although I couldn't take a picture, you must try the langostino baked roll!!!“

“This place is easily one of the best sushi spots on 2nd street, delicious options with plentiful portions. I tried the Mexican, AAA roll and the deep fried California roll with all 3 being stellar. The atmosphere is lively and the greeting when you walk in from the sushi chefs is nice ?

“Owners are awesome. Food was great. Very clean. The shopping center is a little older and made me think twice but absolutely worth it. Had the chef prepare his favorite so can't remember what it was but fresh and flavorful! Will go back. Great small business.“

“We were seated right away and I really liked how they allowed one of us to do Premium ayce and the other person to do regular ayce, it helped a lot with the flexibility in choosing both of dining experiences but sharing them together. Service was attentive and fast, we waited no more than 10 minutes after putting in our order for another round of food. The nigiri was fantastic, wasabi dots, ponzu and yuzu sauce that goes with the cuts of fish add a lot more to it. Also if you go during lunch time (up to 3pm) the prices are fairly good. Overall would highly recommend, I do wish some of the nigiri didn’t come with the specific sauce, and that the fish could be enjoyed simply without anything added on, still really great quality cuts. Normally I don’t like seared black pepper nigiri but here I loved it, the snow crab was also amazing. You also get a free large vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup if you leave a yelp review, pretty cool. Highly recommend if you love ayce sushi.“

“This is my new favorite spot for chicken katsu - it's so juicy and flavorful, and the bento box is so well put-together. While the main highlight is the katsu, every other part of the bento box is great, from the takoyaki to the gyoza, and those little animal waffles, so cute and so tasty! The owners are very friendly as well. Eating here always brings a smile to my face, I've only been twice so far, but I will absolutely be coming back again soon!“

“First time ordering here. Simple Japanese food, great for take out. We got Grilled Salmon and Ckn(white meat)Katsu Bento. Also some side dishes. Kinpira Gobo, Nishime and Ckn(dark meat) Karaage. Flavor is pretty legit, like old school Bento. Kinpira Gobo was abit on the too sweet, too soft side. Was excited about Tofu nuggets, but was not crispy as I imagined... more like Nimono. Overall recommend for lunch/dinner take out. No bathroom to use in the small seats restaurant. Potato salad tho... bomb! ?

Parking: Its in a very small plaza with 7/11 and other businesses like Ramen restaurant. Might be difficult to find free parking in the front.“

“A phenomenal dining experience! Being fairly new to Shabu / Hot Pot going in seemed very intimidating especially after looking at the menu. But once our server Jimmy came over he took care of everything. He perfectly was able to guide us to making the correct choices for ourselves, and was an absolutely blast to be served by!! The broth was truly the star of the show at dinner.

They had an amazing balance of flavors and Jimmy even helped us season our broths and our meats for us! I rarely remember my servers name, but I'll always remember the experience here being served by Jimmy.

It is fairly cost efficient factoring in the quality and has reasonably priced alcohol. I was SHOCKED how empty the location was on a Saturday night around 7PM. This may be attributed to the fact the the parking comes up quick and seems limited if it was truly busy.

“We are traveling on our honeymoon and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. The guy who served us is extremely kind and nice. He responded courteously to all our doubts or questions. The food is spectacular, the kobe meat is excellent and the miso soup very tasty. The soy sauce is in a very good variant that goes perfectly with rice and meat. “Some of the freshest fish I’ve experienced. Fish quality reminds me of the fish market in Japan honestly! Well priced. At first I was debating getting the blue crab handroll for $9.50 - but it was huuge! So much crab they definitely don’t skimp here. Salmon was almost a buttery texture. Toro was sooo fresh and came with a surprise of a little bit more with scallion on top! Delish! Not pictured but if you like popcorn chicken, order their chicken karaage, with less salt!

Note the salmon nigiri + toro nigiri had a little bit of wasabi underneath the fish and on top of the rice bed. If you don’t like wasabi make sure to tell your server.“

“This place did not appear automatically on Google Maps and we just saw it in the area. But so glad we did! Got the donkatsu (Donkkaseu) combo with soba. Portions were pleasantly larger than expected and we felt contently full afterwards. The katsu was fried perfectly and had a nice crunch! The donkatsu had lots of meat, and there were also side dishes that came with the meal!

“My brother and I wanted to try a new ramen place and ended up here. The food itself was great as I got the bulduk ramen and tempura shrimp and my brother got the tonkatsu. It was all good until I wanted the check. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for a check. The front of staff was more concerned with the group next to us or being idle. I have pressed to call for a server multiple times and hearing the ping letting them know a table needed help but I could not get their attention. I only got my check after the table next to us asked for a check when I told them I wanted a check. I partly blame the system for not properly letting the staff know since the ping only went off for a server request but also for how unattentive the staff is to some other guests. We were at the corner of the bar.“

“After my husband and I picked up orders from Yoshinoya, we noticed a restaurant across the Beach Boulevard advertising takeout deals: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13, two California Rolls for $9.50, and a buy-one-get-one-50%-off deal on any rolls. So we decided to swing by and grab some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls to go a week later.

When we walked in, there was an Asian auntie and a young staff behind the counter. As we ordered, we got to chatting, and the auntie told us that she used to own a restaurant in Buena Park for 18 years before moving to Stanton in this location 7 years ago. (She might be the owner but I’m not 100% sure) She proudly assured us that everything the restaurant served is fresh and delicious. Just by looking at the neatly arranged ingredients at the sushi bar section, I could already tell this place is good.

We ordered the takeout special: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13. It was such a great deal, and they were indeed very delicious. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a refreshing hint of lemon. The bowls came with two slices of carrot, cabbage, and broccoli, along with a perfectly portioned amount of rice. Just as the auntie guaranteed , it was tasty and worth every penny. (If you dine in, there’s no discount. These deals are only for takeout.)

The menu offers a lot of variety. The lunch specials (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) seem like a steal. Here are some combos it offers as follows and we’ll definitely be back to try more.

Just last week, my friend and his family of seven came to visit Disneyland. They were craving for Asian food, so I picked up some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls from here and brought them to the park. Everyone loved the teriyaki bento ? , even the picky kids finished their bowls. Highly recommend this place.

“I ordered the beef teriyaki plate. It was ok. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade drink, but it did not taste organic. The strawberry lemonade tasted ok, not bad, but most likely, it has an artificial flavor to it. I noticed that when I came inside, the worker cleaning was nice and cool. I also noticed I almost sneezed inside, and I went outside to sneeze, and I couldn't sneeze. When I came inside, I saw the cashier sneeze ?. I just hope they are not sneezing a lot inside when they are close to the food and hope they are washing their hands every time. I got to my car with my food and drink and I ate a little bit then I sneezed. ??‍♂️?. The food was ok. But I do not know what made me sneeze or the cashier sneeze. I am feeling ok right now, though.
