Balboa Island Baking Company is the embodiment of what a cute, local, and utterly delicious bakery should be.
Walked in for the first time today, and was immediately greeted with a smile and kind service. After asking for recommendations (and realizing we missed the cinnamon rolls and sticky pecan rolls, sadly), I got the pecan roll pieces bag, a strawberry scone, and a coconut almond scone. Balboa Island Baking Company is a cozy little bakery with a wide variety of baked goods. The service is amazing, with super friendly and welcoming staff. Their cinnamon rolls are the best, described as pillowy soft, warm, and delicious, especially with extra icing. The blueberry scone is excellent, very tasty and crunchy on the outside. They also have delicious cookies with an interesting variety. The baked goods are truly exceptional, always fresh and bursting with flavor. This delightful find is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth and is highly recommended.
