“enter place called Starbucks. Smell is warm-brown-water-beans and sweet cloud bread. Many humans inside. They hold cups like small heat planets.
I go to counter. I try human mouth sounds:
“Hello yes please. I am wanting one… Caren… maki-ato? The coffee with milk sky. And one chocolate croissant spiral moon.”
The human behind counter makes big friendly teeth display. Not threat. Good sign. She says many fast words. I understand only “name?” I give sound: “Zorblax.” She writes “Marc.” This is acceptable Earth compromise.
I give paper rectangle. She gives back small mountain of coins. Very shiny. I like Earth trade ritual.
I wait. Many humans stare at glowing rectangles. Perhaps worship devices. Music is soft boom-tss boom-tss.
Then other human calls: “Marc!” I approach carefully. I receive tall warm cylinder. On it is white milk art—looks like primitive leaf but maybe secret symbol. I also receive chocolate croissant spiral moon. Flakes fall like edible meteor dust.
I sit.
First sip of Caren macchiato: hot, sweet, strong bean juice with soft milk cloud. It vibrates pleasantly in my head antenna (invisible today). Chocolate croissant: outside crisp, inside dark lava of joy. Very compatible with my digestion system. No emergency.
Humans around me smile small smiles. One says, “Have a nice day.” I respond, “Yes. Day is having me also.” They laugh. This means social success.

Humans at Starbucks are kind species. They create excellent bean potion and chocolate spiral. Environment is safe for friendly alien pretending to be “Marc.” I will return for more Caren maki-ato and peaceful coexistence.“

“Jess is the best! She runs such a kind and amazing team. They are the best Starbucks in the area by far! They are alway attentive to detail, identify when they make mistakes and remake stuff if necessary (rarely occurs), and take the time to know their customers and regulars! It makes this place special and feel like a small little community is built. Highly recommend this lovely place and its wonderful staff! <3“
“The good- enjoyed the iced coffee beverage. The bad, took longer than normal to make and the power didn’t work anywhere outside so couldn’t enjoy the drink and work outdoors. The good- had the lemony cake bread desert- can’t remember what they call it, and it was delicious.“
“I was confused with finding this location. On Google maps , a Burger King front entrance was posted with the ⭐ bucks next to it!
Anyways, I went to the drive thru during the week at 615 am and it wasn't busy. Two customers in front of me and only 1 Tesla driving like a lunatic to enter into the drive thru!

“This Starbucks is amazing. I have been to multiple Starbucks locations in Newport and this has to be my favorite one. The barista named Elma always goes above and beyond with making me and my boyfriend’s drinks. We come in almost every day during the week. She always has a positive attitude and really makes the start of our day.“
“I am amazed that this location is opened on Christmas Day. The workers here are super kind and willing to go beyond expectations on their coffees, compared to other locations. They also remodeled the indoor area to feel more homey and aesthetic . It is always clean (the indoor seating, bathrooms, the coffee making space, etc.)! 5 Stars!“
