Real Thai and Korean Corn Dogs is hands down one of my favorite spots in Huntington Beach! “I have been going to Thai Pepper for decades now. There food is always just spot on and the lunch special of $9.95 is a great deal. You get an entree in which I always get The Mint Leaves Chicken, fried rice, two fried wontons and a salad. My only suggestion would be to put the salad in a separate little box so it does not get hot next to the hot food. Other than that the food is excellent and great prices. You can get it mild to very hot on the spice! I stick with mild and my friend always gets the level 10 hot, hot, 🔥🥵 HOT. I would die, but different strokes for different folks.👍🤤🎉“

“Have been picking up takeout from this neighborhood staple for 26 years and I know people who have been eating here since 1990. D Thai Chinese is apparently a one-woman operation; the owner takes orders, cooks, serves etc. all by herself, and she is so sweet and friendly.
I can only respect how D Thai's prices remain lower than other Thai/Chinese places in the area, although the prices have been raised in the last year or so (two dollars up per lunch and dinner special). The quality of the food however has remained reliably good, fresh cooked to order, and flavorful. I don't know enough about Chinese or Thai cooking to comment on how authentic it is, but it's pretty good in my opinion and that's what matters most to me.
I've tried most of the menu over the years and the standouts to me are the fried rice, thai basil chicken, mongolian beef, beef salads, and pad see ew. The majority of the menu is four stars, but those are the five star items in my experience.
Be advised, cash only and takeout only! For what it is -- a takeout Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant -- D Thai is a respectable local treat that I will allow myself pretty regularly within my budget. Since the owner lady is so likeable and impressive, and the food is plentiful and decent quality for your dollar, I have to rate this place five stars overall.

The atmosphere can be busy, but comforting and relaxing, like a coffeehouse. The hustle and bustle of people coming in doesn’t distract from the atmosphere. In fact, it adds to it. I have always judged a Thai restaurant by their Tom kha kai. The first time I had it here I knew I was in for some good Thai. I’ve been making Tom kha gai at home for years now I know how it’s done and the subtleties of the ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I’ve known about Bangkok Pai for quite a while. It’s located inside the T&K Plaza, a long established shopping center in the Bolsa area. I usually come here to order takeout for a quick lunch or on days when I feel too lazy to cook.

Besides the classic Thai dishes like Pad See Ew and Pad Thai, their desserts really stand out to me. The prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently good. My favorite dessert is the cassava topped with fresh shredded coconut. It’s slightly chewy, fragrant, and lightly sweet such a comforting and satisfying treat.

Parking in this plaza can be a bit challenging since it’s a busy commercial area with many businesses. However, the affordable prices and friendly service make it worth it.
