“I love this place! I had my birthday lunch here recently because it's my favorite Thai place in Orange County maybe even Southern California. The place is small, you order at the counter and can always expect good food. Honestly it never misses. The food portions are generous, staff is friendly, and miss loving close to this spot.“
“My friends and I love this place! Vietnamese home-style cooking. Sooo comforting—the flavors hit the spot and remind us of home and of our childhood. My go-to here are the fish, ong choy salad with beef, the pea sprouts, and the fish in like a lemongrass sauté. They have a Japanese purple root soup which is not widely available even in Bolsa. We always feast when we come here.“
“I went to this place for dinner with few of my office friends. I already like thai food and had been to really good thai restaurants. This restaurant is one of the best I have tried. Everything from apetizers to curry to rice was delicious.Fried garlic fish, garlic shrimp, crab fried rice, panang curry were tasty.Service, ambiance and pricing was also good.If you are in the area and crave thai food, i would strongly recommend.“
“It was pretty good! I'm not a tai food person. It tends to be way too spicy, or almost no spice at all! There was a lot of ginger flavor, (fresh ginger) but not much else to balance it out! The steak wasn't bad for what it was, but again not thrilled with spices. They were very watered down tasting. And wasn't a good balance for me. But again, I'm not a Thai connoisseur! Also veggies were overcooked for me. I ordered Steak that came with rice and veggies . Veggies were on the soft side and rice was a wet paste. The bottom half of the container looked like a clear thick paste. You couldn't see any rice grains. I think this food was edible and pretty healthy. But way over prepared and bland. I hate writing these kinds of reviews .. but maybe they will change it and help their business! I would try this at a different time. But I would be prepared to change it and fix it up.Dietary restrictions: Low fat if ordering non fried foods.“
“This place started out in Seal Beach about 2000. I went there all the time, but when I moved to Huntington Beach I was happily surprised at the quality of the food. The Orange Chicken is my favorite, but the Honey Walnut Shrimp is great, too! Good service, clean place, great for lunch or dinner.“
“I’ve had Zabb both take out and dine in and I will say each time the food is always exceptional. It’s my favorite Thai spot. I am vegan and loveeee their yellow curry. I get a spice level 10 and all the flavors are amazing. Can’t recommend enough. If I could have it everyday I would. At my work it is our go-to lunch option.“
“This place is so cute! It reminds me of a hipster joint you would find in LA or Tokyo. They play funky music and offer happy hour everyday 8pm to close and you get $2 off munchies (their version of appetizers or small plates) and $1 off drinks. The food can be pretty spicy. For example, the drunken noodles were like a 7/10 on spice level. The boat noodle soup was loaded with robust flavor. The fried chicken wings appetizer was moist with a sweet and tangy sauce. They offer a variety of drinks from Thai tea to fresh coconut as well as unique desserts! I've been to Thailand and some of the best Thai restaurants in LA and OC and this place ranks among them for their creativity and uniqueness. The service is good and everything came out in good time. Another plus is that they provided eco-friendly to go packaging AND their water is fresh and clean! Didn't taste like tap water! I'd come back to try their other foods but make sure that the spice is not as intense.“
“The place was empty when we came in, but all the food was incredible and the service was good. Portion sizes were also large. Everything was great, but you should know that it can be a bit too spicy, so keep that in mind. The room is nice, and quiet— this was an overall very positive experience.“
“Some of the better Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. Very friendly staff and the food is just wonderful, a family favorite. Good prices and good portions. I’ve only ordered take out but even has not taken over 30 minutes. Recommend the pineapple fried rice, any curry, and someone in the family always gets the pad Thai.“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“Amazing food, reasonably priced and exceptional customer service! What a great spot to eat while out at Disneyland to visit. The place itself is a cute spot. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area! **shrimp panang curry was our favorite dish!“
“I wanted to try out this place as I kept passing by and have been intrigued. I ordered something simple, pad Thai spicy. I felt the noodles all stuck together and was lacking sauce. It wasn't very spicy and pretty bland. I expected much better.“
“This is by far the best Thai cuisine I’ve ever had. They have many types of curries, but my favorite has been the Panang and pineapple curries. Very good place if you love hot comfort food. The portions are big too with lots of perfectly cooked rice on the side. The atmosphere is very upbeat and busy. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Have the option for tofu“
“I really enjoyed eating at Real Thai. The employees were welcoming and I felt like I was eating at home. The food was also amazing; I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Medium spice and it was very good. Definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“Hanuman Thai Eatery's Pad See Ew and Fried Rice are absolutely delicious! The flavors are spot on, and they're definitely my favorites. Don't miss out on trying them when you visit. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!“
“Solid Thai spot in Cypress! The food was very good and their chili powder is super spicy. If you get the lunch special, it is $2 cheaper and comes with ice cream and salad, but the portion is slightly smaller. The pad see ew was very flavorful, and even though tofu isn't on the menu it is an option for protein.“
“Been seeing this all over social media and it's decent! The line was about an hour on a Saturaday at 5:30, so definitely get here as early as possible. I recommend getting onto the Yelp wait list ASAP. The plaza is pretty small with limited parking but it shouldn't be an issue if you're early- the ambiance is super colorful and cute. We tried the Pad Thai and the Green curry. The pad thai wasn't as saucy as we thought it would be and wasn't as flavorful as we would've expected. However, the green curry w/ roti was solid! Definitely flavor packed and the right balance of spice. Not sure if it's possible, but would recommend subbing roti with rice since rice is an extra 4$.“
“Great place for Thai food if you are in the area. They make flavorful and savory options with mix spice levels as requested. Staff is super friendly and clean restroom. Limited parking spots closeby in the complex.Vegetarian options: You can always substitute meat for veggies and or tofu.“
“Food is good and flavorful, and it was ready in 5 minutes. However I find the portion a bit too small for the price, at least for the house special boat noodle which is about 18 dollars. It had quite a lot of meat but the amount of noodles was quite small and I wasn't able to be full.“
“One of the best Thai restaurants here in Orange County. Freshness is important with Thai food, and even after delivery, vegetables and entrées were not soggy. Tons of flavor and authentic Thai cooking. Very similar to the Thai restaurants I’ve tried in Asia.“
“It’s a small restaurant but their food is amazing. I ordered 2 thai salad, 1 pad thai, 1 combination fried rice, and 1 chicken satay. Everything tasted great! Price is fair as well service is fast. Workers are kind what else can I say. Was really happy 10/10“
“The food here is delicious! The price and portions are good too! We got yellow curry, pineapple curry, Pad Thai, Pad see ew, and Drunken Noodles, it was all amazing! I will definitely come back to eat here the food had rich and delicious flavors! I highly recommend this place“
“The ingredients look fresh, but the eggplant stir-fry smelled a bit like fresh food, so I wouldn't recommend it. The pad thai was okay, but the noodles were a bit soggy. The shrimp fried rice served was tasty. The free Thai tea was small, but delicious. Overall, it's good because the price is cheaper than the Anaheim area. The owner seems to be nice and the server is friendly.“
“Indulging in the flavors of this family-owned Thai gem is an experience you won't soon forget! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. Their commitment to freshness is evident in every bite – whether you're diving into their delectable sushi rolls or savoring the succulent garlic and pepper steak. One of the highlights of dining here is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that comes with a family-owned establishment. You can feel the passion and dedication in every dish, as if each one is crafted with love and care. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that leaves you craving for more.Their sushi selection is truly outstanding, with each roll bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. And when it comes to their garlic and pepper steak, prepare for a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this Thai restaurant never disappoints. So if you're craving fresh, flavorful cuisine served with a side of familial warmth,Kid-friendliness: It’s not the best kid restaurant, but they are very accommodating for kids aswell.“
“It's been a few years since we'd been here...why??!!! It was so great. Both the panang curry and yellow chicken curry are so flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Beautiful presentation as well! Kind customer service. Will be back soon!“
“This place is hands down AWESOME!The sushi is so delicious, we had the Bangkok, Salmon Lemon, Dragon, Kitajima, Philladelfia and the Alaska roll, all ingredients tasted so fresh. My hubby I are oversized and was very surprised that their sitting was very accommodating for peeps our size and very comfortable. The atmosphere is very chill with dim lighting and quite and the staff are very polite and attentive. We will definitely be coming back to this awesome place.“
“Just ordered two things to go: green curry with shrimp and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli. They used beautiful extra large prawns which were cooked perfectly. This dish also included some veggies. It was great! So was the crispy pork with the broccoli. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!“
“This place stands up to all the hype. Just some of the best Laotian + Thai food, all the flavors are peak umami. Try the fried fish dishes, the Tom ka gai (just the right amount of sweetness), and the amazingly fresh and perfectly seasoned morning glory if they have it (you might have to go earlier in the day, we only got some on our second visit). The laab is also perfection. Go go!“
“I always order out and have only tried their Pad Thai , I must say it is the best I had in the area close to our house. I appreciate the fact that they are very honest and upfront about their wait times, just be sure to double check your take out orders for any errors.“
“Make sure you have reservations. With the spring/summer months coming up, those tables, inside and outside will fill up fast. The Opium hours were great, but so were the regular price entrees. Everything was delicious. Ambiance is fabulous, service was fantastic and food was sooooooooo delicious.“
“Thai Perfection: Panang Curry with Hanger ⭐️Hanuman Thai Eatery has become our favorite Thai spot, thanks to their divine Panang Curry with Hanger Steak. Despite the bustling atmosphere and sometimes lengthy wait times of 45 to 90 minutes, this dish makes every minute worth it.The curry sauce is an explosion of flavor, perfectly paired with tender hanger steak cooked to medium rare perfection. Each bite leaves us craving more, making it a weekly indulgence we simply can't resist.Appetizers: green papaya salad, ceviche, chicken satay and soup is very good as well.if you're willing to endure a wait for a taste of culinary heaven, the Panang Curry with Hanger Steak at Hanuman Thai Eatery is an absolute must-try.“
“First time ordering thru door dash minutes before closing without realizing and they were so nice when I called to get chili sauce on the side as that option was not available on the app. Sorry for the late order, won’t do it again but thank you for being so nice.“
“This place is very convenient if you are on the highway and need to stop by somewhere to eat. We ordered the egg rolls, soup, fried rice and noodles, all of them are very delicious. The amount of food isn't a lot but the price is very fair. The Hawaiian fries is the best.“
“I have only ordered delivery, I love the egg rolls, I've tried the crying tiger, yellow curry, green curry and pineapple rice and it's all really good. The service is always pretty quick even during rush hour and it's fresh. Want to try the banana samosa next time. Definitely will keep coming back.“
“I can't believe that I had never heard of this spot before and can thank Reddit for this amazing find! How often can you find something for under $10 nowadays. While it is cash only, there are so many options available that it totally makes up for it. I came in on a Saturday around 2pm so there wasn't a ton of assortment left (out of eggplant) so I picked the chicken larb, green curry and pork ribs. All of the food was solid and I loved that you can eat different Thai dishes versus when you normally order takeout, you kind of committed to one dish. I loved the portion and the flavors of all the dishes. There are so many grand and go options available too. I will definitely be back again to try other dishes!“
“I had a beef salad. It was delicious. The service was good and we didn't have trouble finding a table for lunch. The prices are reasonable and there are several menu options beyond what you'd find it a small Thai restaurants.Parking: Small parking lot shared with sorella stores. A few stalls were available during lunch time.“
“One of my favorite Thai food restaurants in this area (and there are A LOT of around) that I will continue to frequent. It's not fancy inside, just a sit-down casual, homey feel. They serve lunch specials every day, Monday to Sunday with great options such as Crying Tiger, Prik King, and all the curries. My kids enjoy the regular entree size pad see eew. A win for my family.“
“What a surprise! I didn’t realize Tuk Tuk was down the street. I discovered them on Google Maps and ordered chicken pad Thai. It is one of the best pad Thai in town, hands down. The price is right, too! I’ll be ordering from here again for sure.“
“Authentic Thai dishes and flavors. Family owned for many years second generation manages restaurant. Ordered mee krob, red shrimp curry, orange chicken and black pepper pork. Friendly fast service, my order was complete with sambal chili sauce, perfect steamed rice. Simple clean dining room for dining in. I picked up my order for takeout. Highly recommend“
“This is my go-to place for Pad See Ewe. It's so good! The lady at the counter is really nice. It doesn't take long for my order to be ready. The plates are always packed and taste good. I love this place and parking is usually good.“
“Hidden gem in Santa Ana. It is located in a building called Maker Kitchens. I ordered their Special Promotion, Pad Thai with egg roll and salad...tasted great and such a good deal for $12.45. The pad thai was flavorful. I also ordered the shrimp Tom yum soup, very delicious as well. Will definitely be coming back!“
“Came here today with my husband. He LOVE the chicken massaman curry! and mine was Beef Thai Boat Noodles, recommend to try if you like flavorful taste (they will give you the things to adjust your flavor as you like but the base is also good). Service was lovely!“
“I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but this is the best Thai food restaurant around. We order from Thai Pepper 2-3 times a month and the quality is always consistent and delicious. The pad thai, pad see ew, spicy green beans, and orange chicken are a must try.“
“Ordered pickup (now twice) and tried the tofu pad thai, shrimp fried rice, fried tofu and egg rolls.Everything was great! Could use more shrimp even though I asked & paid for extra. The Tofu was good but the rolls were amazing. I liked that they were thinner than normal. The green chilies in the clear sauce (condiment) were yummy!“
“Whether we order takeout or dine-in Hanako's been consistently yummy! Thai food + sushi ... makes it nice to not have to go to two separate restaurants Their pad thai & drunken noodle are solid. I also like their spicy tuna crispy rice & salmon w mango roll. They have an awesome happy hour menu that runs til 7pm - so it's nice to visit before then. Good to support a family business!“
“We always come here when we crave Thai! It’s a clean place, they always have fresh flowers so it smells nice, it’s a family business and they always remember us and are very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and plates are quite plentiful!Kid-friendliness: They always serve our kid with kid utensils and our kid really likes going there“
