It was presented properly as requested with great prices! It was ready at the time I requested despite looking kinda busy in the kitchen. “This little Thai restaurant is located inside the Good Eats food court with a variety of restaurants near by. This area is so clean and very inviting for people visiting Anaheim. The ice skating rink is also very close and convenient to stop by here after the game to grab something to eat or have a drink.“

“I finally tried Thai Del Mar tonight after passing by several times, and I’m really glad I did. It’s literally next door to Johnny Pizza, so it’s easy to find.

The food was way better than Bamboo Bistro, which is supposed to be popular but honestly wasn’t enjoyable to me at all.

I ordered the Pad Thai and egg rolls, and both were really good flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. I was actually happy while eating, which says a lot.

The service really stood out as well. Patrick helped me, and he was very kind, soft-spoken, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

They mentioned they have fried banana for dessert, so I’m planning on coming back tomorrow to try that. Overall, I’m really happy I gave this place a chance and will definitely be returning.“

Center has has the absolute worst parking. Only 1 entrance and if you're coming from Bristol, it's impossible to turn into the center even though Google tells you to. Majority of the parking spaces are compact. The smallest compact parking sizes I've seen. Even with the limited parking, they still have reserved 5 minute parking spaces.“

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.“

- Really nice level of heat (I ordered it very spicy), and there were no Thai chili pepper pods I had to fish out, so that's good, and they provided extra ground Thai chilis on the side. 👍👍

- heat, sourness, amazingly delicious tasting broth, hint of sweetness to contrast the bold hot and sour flavors. All the wonderful tastes melded together, lime, cilantro, galangal, lemon grass, so completely developed and full flavored 👍👍 👍
- giant shrimp, tails on, so tender and delicious and lots of them. 👍👍👍
Bottom line, I've been hunting for the best Tom Yum in SoCal, and I have found it at Royal Thai Orchid. I was settling before, now, never more. Makes me REALLY want to taste their other menu items. “I ordered the Chicken pad thai (Medium Spice) not thai level spice so if I do come back, definitely getting spicy with extra spice on the side. The space inside makes you feel like you're transported back to Thailand (there was a cab in the front of the menu screen) and limited seating, a couple of tables outside. Overall rating, 4.6 stars for me, I know google doesn't give me the options for the point six. The pad thai was really good, not too mushy, chicken not over done and love that they added the Vietnamese chives ( hẹ) and bean sprouts along with peanuts, gives an extra crunch in every bite. “Have been picking up takeout from this neighborhood staple for 26 years and I know people who have been eating here since 1990. D Thai Chinese is apparently a one-woman operation; the owner takes orders, cooks, serves etc. all by herself, and she is so sweet and friendly.
I can only respect how D Thai's prices remain lower than other Thai/Chinese places in the area, although the prices have been raised in the last year or so (two dollars up per lunch and dinner special). The quality of the food however has remained reliably good, fresh cooked to order, and flavorful. I don't know enough about Chinese or Thai cooking to comment on how authentic it is, but it's pretty good in my opinion and that's what matters most to me.
I've tried most of the menu over the years and the standouts to me are the fried rice, thai basil chicken, mongolian beef, beef salads, and pad see ew. The majority of the menu is four stars, but those are the five star items in my experience.
Be advised, cash only and takeout only! For what it is -- a takeout Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant -- D Thai is a respectable local treat that I will allow myself pretty regularly within my budget. Since the owner lady is so likeable and impressive, and the food is plentiful and decent quality for your dollar, I have to rate this place five stars overall.
