17 Best Thai Restaurants in Anaheim

Restaurant Lucky Chicken Shop • $$
Anaheim

“This place is so cute! It reminds me of a hipster joint you would find in LA or Tokyo. They play funky music and offer happy hour everyday 8pm to close and you get $2 off munchies (their version of appetizers or small plates) and $1 off drinks. The food can be pretty spicy. For example, the drunken noodles were like a 7/10 on spice level. The boat noodle soup was loaded with robust flavor. The fried chicken wings appetizer was moist with a sweet and tangy sauce. They offer a variety of drinks from Thai tea to fresh coconut as well as unique desserts! I've been to Thailand and some of the best Thai restaurants in LA and OC and this place ranks among them for their creativity and uniqueness. The service is good and everything came out in good time. Another plus is that they provided eco-friendly to go packaging AND their water is fresh and clean! Didn't taste like tap water! I'd come back to try their other foods but make sure that the spice is not as intense.“

“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“

The many has a lot of variety and so many things to choose from. We ordered the crab rangoon, the shrimp tempura, and spicy yellow curry. Everything had a lot of flavor and medium curry was not really spicy. The service was great and the prices are fair. We are looking forward to trying other items next time!“

“So yummy! The inside is small- it's like 6 tables or so inside but it's cute inside! Our server was Kyle according to the receipt and he was great. 10/10 service. We tried the wonton soup, pad see ew, and drunken noodles with beef. All 3 had great flavor. The soft drinks are cans (which I was fine with, but just a heads up).“

“I can't believe that I had never heard of this spot before and can thank Reddit for this amazing find! How often can you find something for under $10 nowadays. While it is cash only, there are so many options available that it totally makes up for it. I came in on a Saturday around 2pm so there wasn't a ton of assortment left (out of eggplant) so I picked the chicken larb, green curry and pork ribs. All of the food was solid and I loved that you can eat different Thai dishes versus when you normally order takeout, you kind of committed to one dish. I loved the portion and the flavors of all the dishes. There are so many grand and go options available too. I will definitely be back again to try other dishes!“

Looked this place up and came to a warm and friendly environment. The food was 5/5 for sure! I ordered more with a Thai tea to go! The food was great and I love the homey atmosphere! Loved Mae! she went above and beyond! Had to get her name and update this review! The Thai tea and glass noodles to go!“

“This local Thai spot has a great combination of spacious parking in a large strip mall, lots of booth and table combinations, and a wide range in their menu that some other spots don't have (pineapple curry with shrimp, anyone?). We ordered fried tofu, chicken satay, tom kha soup, and pineapple curry w/shrimp. The chicken satay was alittle oily, but had good flavor. Was hard to pull off the skewer and a bit awkward to bite off. The fried tofu sauce was interesting sweet and savory. Both the curry and Tom kha soup were flavorful, but a bit too salty for me. I was drinking water all afternoon and evening. Their menu is so extensive, and worth a return visit to see if they ease up on their salt heavy hand because their flavors were pleasant! Lunch crowd was full by 12:30pm!“

“Truly a wonderful experience eating here. I got their spicy crispy pork rice, and only wish I could’ve eaten a bit more. Then I got their dessert: the mango with sticky rice and bah god it was a heaven sent. I felt my soul had been cleansed, as if my diarrhea from the night before had become a purified memory. Also, my server was very cultured and friendly, even naming the dessert in my own language that I didn’t know the name of. Very grateful to have dined here, and would come here more often once I am no longer jobless and scraping pennies off of random openings in thrown-away couches!“

“Thai food easily makes it on my list of top favorite Asian cuisines. So of course I had to try Ladda Thai and it is delicious!Got my favorite dish, Chicken Pad See Ew (Soy Sauce Rice Noodles) *of course*, Chicken Kaeng Khiao Waan (Green Curry) with a side of Jasmine Rice and Steak Pad Kra Pow (Thai Basil Stir-Fry) with a side of Jasmine Rice. I wanted Pad Thai (Stir-Fried Rice Noodles) but they were out of it that day! I've never had homemade Thai food before but I'd imagine this is exactly what it would taste like, just delicious. This is a lot of food for two people, there was plenty of food to take home! My favorite was the Pad See Ew but I enjoyed the other dishes as well. The Pad See Ew comes with these Thai Chili Flakes that are low-key such a game changer, YOU NEED TO PUT THIS ALL OVER YOUR FOOD, they are not overly spicy but adds so much flavor to your meal. To give you an idea, I LOVE Banana Bay and I think the Pad See Ew tastes better here, the flavor is better. I am a big curry person and enjoyed the curry here, the flavor was just right. The Pad Kra Pow I got was an off-menu item with Steak, delicious, but it is normally made with Ground Meat. You can tell the ingredients they use are fresh. The food is not mind blowing but it is good comfort food. For this reason, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if I'm in the area, I'd definitely stop by. I think this is a great takeout option. They are located in a small shopping plaza inside Chups Social Kitchens. Let me try to explain was this place is, because, at first, I was confused myself. It's similar to a ghost kitchen concept, however, there is seating so you can stay and eat. They serve most of their customers by delivery and pick-up. However, you can come, order here and eat here as well. It's almost like a ghost kitchen virtual food court. You can order through the iPad at the front of the place which gets sent to the kitchen and then you pick up your food. You can also call to place your order for pick up or find them on delivery apps. There's many different food vendors to choose from. The menus from each food vendor are created by food content creators. Ladda Thai was created by Kat T! Remember this isn't a full service restaurant. You pay and pick up your order. Prices are standard, however, for it not being a full service restaurant, I'm not sure if it warrants standard restaurant pricing. There was no wait when I came on a Sunday at 5 PM and food came out pretty quickly. The interior is very casual but decent. They have a free parking lot and while small, I had no issues with parking.“

“This was the first thai restaurant I had when I moved to this area. And boy, this really set the standard for thai food in this area. The pad thai was amazing. From flavor to texture of the noodles were so perfect. I have also tried the curry and fried rice dishes here. Everything was really good. I have only done takeout here. I always make sure to call first because they are pretty popular and the wait cane be long. I know because I forgot to call once and had to wait for a while. Good thing there is a supermarket next door so I can walk around while waiting. This is a restaurant I will definitely continue to visit because it is tasty, quick, and close to home!“
