“Absolutely phenomenal. Found this place because they popped up on my IG explore feed and I’m so glad I gave them a chance - Food is 10000/10. Never had ANY musubi THIS good before. The very kind owner was working behind the counter helping cook and serve the food. Lovely restaurant, will absolutely be returning. Give these guys your business ASAP! It’s a true hidden gem.“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“Walked in on a Sunday after a competition at the Anaheim Convention Center. Was immediately greeted, and seated. The wait staff was attentive to all the customers in the room. The food was delicious and fresh! Will return!Kid-friendliness: My kids were not on their best behavior that day, but we're tolerated very kindly by the staff.“
“The chicken pho at this restaurant is exceptional, with a broth that is flavorful even before adding hoisin and Sriracha sauces. The homemade noodles are a standout, offering a perfect blend of thickness, tenderness, and a pleasant bounciness. The chicken meat served on the side tastes like traditional farm-raised "walking chicken," a term used in Vietnamese cuisine, providing an authentic flavor and texture.Upon entering, you're greeted by friendly staff who promptly seat you. During my visit, the restaurant was initially quiet, but it quickly filled up, showcasing its popularity with a bustling lunch crowd and a line of customers waiting to be seated.I highly recommend visiting this place for an authentic and delicious dining experience.“
“This place is delicious. I’ve been here twice and the food has been absolutely amazing both times. The flavor, spice and quantity of food is perfect. It seems that the menu is changed up a little bit since the last time I was here, but the new additions seem to be pretty good as well. Nice atmosphere, good music… very chill vibe with great food and friendly service.“
“I came to Disneyland for the first time and was a bit saddened by the lack of Asian food in downtown Disney. I’m so glad I found Asia foodie kitchen with a simple Google search - walked over from fantasy tower (took less than 20 minutes in a nice area). The house special pho was fantastic and the person who served me was very nice! I would definitely come here when I visit Disneyland again :)“
“Great place for Thai food if you are in the area. They make flavorful and savory options with mix spice levels as requested. Staff is super friendly and clean restroom. Limited parking spots closeby in the complex.Vegetarian options: You can always substitute meat for veggies and or tofu.“
“Honey walnut shrimp delicious, hot and freshly fried veggie egg roll yummy, half and half fried rice and noodles on point- all were very good. The portions were generous on the rice and noodles. Friendly and prompt Small space with a few tables to sit and eat. Weather was nice outside, so sat on patio.“
“Our go to Thai restaurant!!! Food never disappoints!! Always hot and fresh!! Even the soups after we bring them home! We have never eaten our meals there, we always order to go. Definitely recommend this location if you are in the area looking for a good Thai spot!“
“I love this place my wife and I eat out here all time.. food is great. I worked here for a bit a little bit ago… the owners will always tell me “smile and be more welcoming” lol I thought it was funny and still do considering now every time we go everyone always looks like their dog died and have no welcoming attitude. Everyone from the cook , the owner (Peter If I remember correctly) and the two older ladies in the front …“
“Love their rice-less sashimi rolls? & the fact that whenever I want some yummy Japanese cuisine they're usually open??Vegetarian options: They'll make whatever you like.Kid-friendliness: I've seen plenty of kids enjoying cool sushi creations.“
“Went at 5:30-6:30 and there was no one in the restaurant. So as I sat down and ordered the shaken beef with fries not sure what to expect. However when the food came I was quite surprised with the quality, with the beef chunks being perfectly seasoned and tender as can be and the fries being crispy on the outside with a soft and warm interior. I went with family and ordered 5 other dishes, all of which also surpassed all expectations and left us satisfied and collectively agreeing this place is much too underrated for the quality and value of the food.“
“Great food--I am so glad we went. We had the spicy pork. It was great to add whatever toppings we chose, and the topping choices are varied and delicious. The people helping us were also friendly and personable and answered all our questions.“
“Came here today with my husband. He LOVE the chicken massaman curry! and mine was Beef Thai Boat Noodles, recommend to try if you like flavorful taste (they will give you the things to adjust your flavor as you like but the base is also good). Service was lovely!“
“Cute and cozy establishment in Anaheim. When we came it was almost empty so the service was immediate and prompt. We had a little of everything so we were able to try most dishes and share them. Their house boba was delicious and in a cute cup.the best for me were the veggies dumplings pan fried so they have that crispy crunch.“
“Beef bulgogi bowl was yummy and filling. Considering the price, you do get a big bowl of food. Beware the drinks are all in cans and bottles but overall I really enjoyed the food. The girl who took my order was super nice and friendly. I think this is a fairly new place as there are giant cardboard boxes in the dining room and the menu is incredibly small and simple. But once they get settled in, I’ll definitely recommend this place to others. :)“
“Yes Flame Broiler is my go to place when i want lots of just well done flavorful chicken. This was my first time at this location and i called my order in for a quick pick up due to just getting over a flu bug and this tasty well cooked protein did the trick. Its getting a bit pricey here but worth every penny. Very nice customer service.“
“I was in Anaheim and just searching for something healthy to eat. Glad I came across Umami Express on here! Ordered from inside Anaheim Food Co. at the screen. Easy process and food comes out fairly quickly like within 10 min of ordering. Small area but always clean. I chose the "Protein Lover Rice & Cabbage Bowl" ($15.35) because I know I needed to pack on some protein before my disney day! According to the description for the bowl, it states "Dairy free, gluten free. Base of shredded cabbage, heirloom forbidden and brown rice, chicken, pork, organic tofu, crisp water chestnuts, steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, fresh green onion, toasted sesame seeds, our house-made Szechuan chili oil crunch, and a choice of our signature sauces. // gluten, dairy free // zero refined sugar" Sounded like health in a bowl to me so I was excited to try it. I chose the Garlic Sesame Soy Sauce and it was a good pairing. I appreciate that it comes in a little container on the side in case you don't want all of it in one go. I opted out of having water chestnuts because I wasn't in the mood to have that crunch while I ate. The Szechuan chili oil was also SOO GOOD! Had the perfect amount of spice for me. It was pretty hot so if you're not a fan of spice then stay away! The entire bowl tasted delicious. I actually didn't care for the pork esp it was large stringy chunks of meat that I don't think I was in the mood for either. I ended up trying to just give it to my bf to eat. I believe it's pork shoulder since there's a section of "pork shoulder bowls." The tofu was also good, large, super firm cubes. This is a pretty large portion especially there are 3 proteins in it. I enjoyed it so much that I cooked something similar at home for meal prep. My bf ordered the Chicken Rice bowl ($11.45) and it was basically like mine except no tofu or pork. He also loved the chili crisp and it was a good portion for him overall.“
“The food here is sooooo gooood!!! I think they have the best bánh mỳ chảo in OC. If it's your first time here, I would recommend you called different types of Bánh Mỳ Chảo depending on the number of people you have. So if you have 3 people then call 1 ribeye & truffle (my favorite one as it's easy-to-eat flavor, 1 Sichuan peppercorn (the flavor might be hard for Vietnamese elders to eat but it's good), the last one can be pork meat ball (I haven't try but it should be good) or beef tenderloin (it's easy to eat and taste good like the ribeye & truffle one too but I think it's little bit salty for my personal taste). And you definitely need to call for 1 more portion of bread for each person because the one they give you won't be enough unless you don't want to get too full.“
“My experiences with Teddy's Cafe makes me wonder why do they love this community so much why do they try so hard to satisfy me and my families cravings by providing top of the line meals and so much more they're definitely on their way to fulfilling their destiny high quality services and spectacular food's and beverages with no brainer prices with they're determination to exceed expectations seems to be bringing the community together.“
“I came here on a trip looking for a seafood restaurant. It was an order system at the table, but was it Cajun food? was.We had crayfish, shrimp, and other things seasoned with spices by hand.It wasn't planned as I was thinking of having a relaxing meal, but it was also a new experience. The taste was spicy, but it wasn't too spicy and was delicious. However, please note that all of them must face the shell. The portions were so large that even if three adults ordered two servings, they wouldn't be able to finish it all. If you share one serving, it may be okay to have at least one other item.“
“The food was great. I had the egg rolls, meat mountain, dim sum and chives, and the hot honey fried chicken bao. The price point is a little high but if you don't want Chinese fusion food that doesn't put you in a food coma, I feel it's fair. Nothing I had was dosed in oil. Few notes:- the spicy wasn't crazy, just a "zing" , then again this is coming from someone who eats chili and Saracha religiously.- if you like garlic, this is the place- the crunch on the food is A+Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp“
“Technology and Amazing ServiceOn conclusion of the Expo West food exhibition on Saturday evening we went to dinner at the Roy’s Restaurant in Los Angeles. We had a lovely meal served by Shannon. We returned to our hotel to pack our final bits and pieces before heading out to LAX airport to return home to Charleston, SC. It was at this stage I discovered one of my hearing aids, which were two weeks old, had fallen out of my pocket (not ear), somewhere. But where? The last place we had been was the restaurant. We tried calling the restaurant only to discover the their phones were out of order. We had to leave for the airport. En-route, my wife Rose, kept calling the restaurant for a long shot chance that my hearing aid had fallen out there. Next thing Enrique texts back to ask how he can help. Rose, a seventy four year old granny, texts him back explaining the story, and which table we had sat at, and could they look around and see if they could find it. Not expecting any good news we were flabbergasted when they came back to tell us they had found it.Dilemma, we were in the car on our way to the airport. My son Michael was driving and suggested we get Christopher (my other son) to call Uber Parcels and have the hearing aid sent to him. Christopher was flying back to Cleveland, GA early next morning. My wife texts Enrique to say Uber Parcels is on their way and would be there in four minutes. The driver actually arrived two minutes early and collected the hearing aid. Twenty minutes later he had delivered the hearing aid and it cost me $10. I sat in total disbelief at how quickly everything had happened. I was so impressed at the service Enrique gave us. But equally impressed at how Uber Parcels stepped into action to get the hearing aid from the restaurant to Christopher in such short order. Christopher was flying to a completely different destination to us but we would be meeting up with him in three days time. I was also super impressed with my talented “super granny” wife coordinating everybody and getting it all to happen. My faith in the goodness of people was restored and equally my appreciation of how modern technology solved this situation. Thanks to Enrique, Rose, Michael and Christopher.“
“Parking can be a betch here, but it's worth it since there are so many stores surrounding this location and they are so close to the 57 freeway. I only come here for the tacos. The inside is small, but they have a decent/nice seating area, I've been to better and way worse Waba's. The girl at the register was really nice. I was eating my Boom Boom streak taco trio and scrolling on my phone when this homeless guy came in asking for money or food as he just got out of jail and sounded frantic. I told him I didn't have cash and offered to buy him some tacos and a drink and a water cup for me. The girl at the register gave me a drink cup too for being nice. I stayed to continue scrolling on my phone and just make sure he got his order with no issues and the ladies working here took care of him and he was very greatful and left immediately as to not bother anyone. I've eaten at a lot of WaBa's lately because of their bomb tacos, but this location will always stand out for their kindness (and their fast service and bomb steak tacos).“
