“Came for lunch on a weekday. Few people and light hearted atmosphere when we got there. Boss greeted us warmly and gave us recommendations. We got the numbers 12 and 15. The highlight here is the tender, delicious, fresh-tasting meats used. The portion is big and the staff provided quick service. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for quality meat and broth in their pho noodle soup.“
“I came here after visiting another ginko katsu in diamond bar because it was so good when I had it there. I was a little disappointed with the bento boxes, they weren't as good. the other location came with more side dishes+ pickled veggies. while it's probably really good standalone, i was kind of disappointed that it wasn't up to the same level as the other location :( however the atmosphere and staff is perfect!!“
“Came here on a whim on Saturday night, so glad it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. They have pictures of plates they serve on tv screens so it's very nice to see what you may be ordering. We ordered egg, filet mignon and meatball on a sizzling plate with baguette and a bo luc lac with garlic noodle and it was delicious! Very affordable prices. Fresh made and not too sweet drinks too, I recommend the penny worth and mung bean drink! Nice Vietnamese traditional restaurant vibes.“
“Went for lunch with my son. Had shrimp spring rolls and the chicken curry with baguettes. The spring rolls had a king of crunchy layer inside that made them truly irresistible. The curry was delicious! Not too spicy, the chicken was tender and delicious. We were full after eating half our servings, took the rest home. I did indulge in some delicious macaroons and pastries to go. All in all, it was a lovely and delicious experience the service was excellent...will definitely be coming here again!“
“BARCODE WAS INSANSEE (IN A GOOD WAY) the owner is always on standby making sure the service is 10/10. He is AMAZING!!!!! I live the next street over and and he was SUPER accommodating and welcoming. He recommended me and my friends a good drinks and got us complimentary shots!! The shot was amazing but even without the shot it SHOULD NOT allow you from coming here. SOOO CHEAP SOOOO GOOD! I love it, AND YOU SHOULD TOOO!!!!“
“Comfort food!! Delicious variety of soups and garlic noodles! The garlic noodles were packed with flavor and the green sauce that came with it was AMAZING! I like my soup hot so it was nice to have it boiling and you’re able to request it to turn off at anytime. I also love the dipping sauces. Service was AMAZING! Everyone was so friendly and we even got some milk tea at the end of our meal??“
“When I came to Thien An Bo 7 Mon, I wasn't sure what to expect. This was my first time coming to a Vietnamese restaurant. I came in pretty blindly but I was pleasantly surprised.Upon entering, I was seated very quickly and able to get served just as quickly. The rest of my party was also seated very quickly as well. The servers are all very nice and understanding. Once I made known of a food allergy, they were very accommodating. I had a feeling I was in very good hands. The ambience of the restaurant was very welcoming and spacious. I really appreciate restaurants that are spacious because I need elbow-room so I can thoroughly grub on my food Lol. They also have a large screen that displayed aquatic life the night that I went which created a very nice vibe. Now, finally the FOOD! The food was SOOOO good! Everything was seasoned very well and the veggies were all fresh! They even offer a vegan egg roll for those who do not eat meat, which was also very delicious. The experience was very hands-on which I really enjoyed. I customized my spring rolls to my liking as well as the sauce! They offer plenty of food options so it makes customizing not only delicious but fun to experiment with different flavors. The highlight was definitely the catfish! I'm not a big fan of catfish usually but this catfish was absolutely delicious and changed my mind completely! This is a restaurant where you can take your friends, family, coworkers, etc. just to have a good time and eat good food! I will definitely return!“
“This one of my favorite sushi restaurant. I like the friendly environment here and also the music. I always order sunrise, mango no5 and my favorite one is Panic Attack. And I also like salmon and eel of this restaurant. Tommy and Ono is the best sushi chef I have ever met. And the service also very good too. I will definitely come back to eat at this restaurant many more time for sure.“
“I was surprised to see a Sichuan restaurant in Garden Grove of all places. Heck, it might even be the only one in the city. Food was very good and the service was even better. The waiter/cashier definitely deserves a mention for how attentive he was. Overall, it's comparable to Rowland Heights/Irvine places.“
“Food was AWESOME. We got a dozen oysters, crawfish Mac, calamari, and edemame. I always order calamari, even make my own and theirs is top notch. Blue point oysters were a little too briny but still good. I’ll be trying the kumomotos next time. Special shoutout to LANCE. Made us feel at home with his excellent service. Made us feel special. We’ll be back, maybe tomorrow!“
“Love their banh khot! It’s crispy and tastes great! Great service by everyone and was always available for questions and requests. I like that the restaurant is located outside of Westminster so no need to deal with traffic. They also offer a variety of other foods that I will definitely come back again to try.“
“Craving for hotpot so found a joint 45 mins away from the Desert Hills outlet enroute to the hotel. Man, so good, especially when having hotpot during cold weather. But think we ordered too much meat. This was fatty belly and ribeye cut from premium black angus beef. This makes for another perfect day!“
“This is the best dry noodle I’ve had in OC. I had the Grandpa’s dry noodle. The sauce under the noodle is very yummy. They gave a separate soup bowl and the server told me to not pour it over the noodle but just use some to sprinkle over. It’s really good. The first two special menu was very delicious. The filet mignon is very tender. The sauce is very unique. The last one on the special was not my favorite. I haven’t had pennyworts for a long time but they sell it here. Great spot for family vibes.“
“I was craving some comfort food & found this spot on yelp. I called and the person told me they moved to a new location and she texted me the address. Not sure if she's the owner but she was so tremendously sweet! We got the fishcake and clasic gimbap, kimchi fried rice and veggie fried dumplings and two lemonades. Everything was so delicious and filling and definitely worth the 30 min drive to get there“
“We came here as a 2nd option on Sunday night football when our 1st choice didn't come threw. Food is ok not to mention you have to wait till 5pm to order most foods. The 1st waitress we had was not so great! She was slow and made a lot of excuses for delays with our food let alone just her taking our order. The TV set up was a bit poor for game night. They had a lot of tvs up high but they were rather small to top it off they were blocked by lanterns they happen have hanging in the middle of it so th as t was a not annoying. I did though love the 3 piece giant screen TV they had set up for the game but again, they had a pile of what looks like props covering up the bottom half of the screen so everytime I wanted to see the scores and stats, I had to look over at the smaller tv. Not sure what the Owner was thinking with this set up. Drinks were good but took a long time to come out . Some orders were actually forgotten. The food concept of Asian fusion is cool but it lacked the details about lined above.“
“Newish spot next to HMart that sells Korean fried chicken. Compared to some other Korean Fried Chicken places I've tried, the wings here definitely stands out!The meat is tender and comes right off the bone cleanly and you can see the juices flowing out when you bite in. It's kind of amazing how juicy it is.It is a bit of a wait, but I was given some coleslaw and pickled radish when I dined in. Each table has wet wipes to clean your hands after and a metal bin to discard bones.“
“Garlic and Chives is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the OC area.Restaurant, including the restrooms is clean. Service is prompt and courteous. Lots of parking available in the plaza lot. We have been lucky to come at times when they are not that busy, but I imagine that they would get pretty packed during peak hours. As for the food, everything on their menu is great. We only wish that they also served pho, simply because we love pho and thats literally the only thing that they are missing! Yes, there are tons of pho places in the area, but if they added it to their menu, it would be heaven as all our favorite Vietnamese dishes would be served in one restaurant!Only reason for subtracting one star is due to the price compared to the size of the dishes. You can actually see how the prices keep being increased as there are price stickers stacked on top of each other on their menu. *Cries in California*“
“It was my first time going there. I looked at reviews and decided to meet a friend there. It was absolutely amazing. I had the cod and it was delectable with soft flakes and a savory taste - it literally melted in my mouth. My friend had the wagyu steak and she bragged about how tasty it was. The service was amazing also - I think my waiter name was Harmon (not sure). I would definitely go there again. Lillian“
“If you're a bao enthusiast like me, BAOS HOG in Garden Grove is your next must-visit destination. This place takes the bao experience to a whole new level. From succulent duck to flavorful ribeye, their range of baos is impressive. The standout for me was the Cali Cow Wrappurito - a creative fusion of bao and burrito. It was a perfect mix of savory and sweet, tantalizing my taste buds. Although I missed out on the CinnaBao fries, they're definitely on my list for the next visit.BAOS HOG isn't just about baos; it's about exploring a variety of quick, casual, and delicious meals. Whether you're craving an assortment of baos, a hearty rice plate, or their unique wrappuritos, this place has it all.“
“$15 lunch $19 dinner AYCE Asian / American buffet aimed for Mexican taste. The place is nice, clean, spacious, about 60% occupied on Easter week Good Friday at 3PM, so it's popular. Sorry, God. I forgot it was Good Friday. You pay on entrance, given plastic cups for free sodas, and choose your own tables. This set up reduces the number of workers required to operate the front desk efficiently, only 1 cashier and 3 cleaning crew were working to keep everything tidy. By employing fewer workers they may survive, even make a good business in the cut throat Asian buffet market They play Rock and Mexican Banda music fairly loud. I wish they lower the volume a bit The food is surprisingly good with very good varieties, cooked to Mexican taste. Fill your own sodas , included. Very good salad bar with large varieties. Sushi station is small, tastes ok, but with no sashimi people would just take proteins off sushis for themselves. The beef pot roast is tender and the very tasty. This dish alone pays for the meal IMHO . Fried chicken is fairly salty. Could use less salt and more clove or Cummins. Couple indistinct braised pork to crisp, tasteless. There were Cajun shrimp and large crawfish, delish, people were eating large plates. Soups were good, clam chowder uses cream of corn, not dairy cream, smells a little like corn tortillas. Pepper shrimp was good . All stir fried veggies are overcooked to a mush for Mexican taste . The Mongolian station lets you choose proteins and veggies with your own sauce. I told the Mexican cook to do rare red beef, emphasized to him a couple times, but he still way overcooked to tasteless, again per Mexican taste. Very good desert station with cheesecake, cream pie, various cakes, soft ice cream, but very few fruits. Food is fresh and tasty, not over spiced or loaded with sugar or MSG. We were happy with the quality of our meal for this low price, very good value, even free meals on birthdays. This place seems successful with good attendance and low operating cost, but needs to add seafood ceviche for Mexican clients in place of the sushis and rolls. Left a good tip at table for the cheerful cleaning woman. This is now our favorite Asian buffet in OC. Will be back“
“We ordered pad Thai beef, tom yum soup with chicken, and mango sticky rice. All the food was delicious and visually appealing, and I was particularly impressed with their butterfly pea sticky rice - it was so yummy! However, the downside was that we had to wait for 30 minutes for just three dishes, despite there only being two tables occupied when we arrived. We noticed that people who came in after us were served before us. Fortunately, the food was good enough to justify the wait. We plan to return and try other dishes, but we hope that we won't have to wait as long next time.“
“I apologize for my bad photo but the photo does not do it justice. This is probably one of the few places that actually sell fish maw soup. For those who don't know what it is, If I have to describe it, it's like an egg drop soup with these clear chewy but crunchy jellies. It's quite expensive to get these! Probably also a good soup for those who are sick or can't swallow well. Bring some salt to season for your taste. The location of this place is quite hidden though so drive slow :)“
“Came here with a friend for a party. Not really a big fan of loud music since they are literally a bar, club for young people hanging out but their foods are undeniably incredible. We came at the time that they are making new grill foods on the menu so tried it and loved it immediately. Nice food's temperature and well seasoned are the most important to me and they nailed it. Oh and you can get a nice table outside to enjoy foods if you only want foods.Highly recommend for people inviting friend to come over and chill.“
“This restaurant was fantastic. I ordered the jjampong and it was genuinely one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The noodles were excellent and the broth was incredibly flavorful. The wait staff was very kind and helped by giving great recommendations. The Golbi beef was also very good.“
