“First time visiting this restaurant for my friend’s birthday party and I was honestly very impressed! The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable from the moment we walked in.

“I finally tried Oniku in Garden Grove after hearing about it, and honestly it was better than I expected.

I like that you don’t have to choose between BBQ or hot pot , you can do both at the same table, which is nice when going with family or friends.

They have a few options:
Standard Shabu AYCE $38.95
Premium BBQ AYCE $46.95
Premium BBQ + Shabu AYCE $53.95

My family went with the $53.95 one so we could try everything, and it felt worth it.

The meat was pretty good for AYCE beef was nicely marbled, short ribs were tender, and the beef tongue was thin and easy to cook. Seafood was fresh too, I liked the shrimp and scallops.

There’s a self serve area with veggies and sides, so you have more to choose from. Service was quick, and the robot bringing food out was kind of interesting.

Parking was easy, plenty of space when we went.

Overall, good food, fair price, and a chill spot to go with a group. I’d come back.“

“I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is the best dessert I’ve had in a while. The milk shaved ice is so creamy and soft. It melts in your mouth. Combine with the Oreo and Mochi it adds a blast of sweetness in the best way possible. 10/10 had to come back again after two days😂“

“Went to this place and was surprised at how clean and organized the place was. Staff was friendly and made the drinks super fast. I got the Peace Lychee drink with Boba and it tasted amazing. The boba was soft and chewy (in a good way). I went to other places and the boba was not good at all.

Overall this place is a great place to get your boba kick, the price was VERY reasonable. Would recommend!“

“If I hadn’t parked to walk over to Lux Spa, I probably would’ve never noticed there’s a Happy Lemon in the same plaza.

We kept it simple and ordered the E3 Lemon Aloe Yakult ($6) and E1 Green Tea Yakult ($6). I make lemon and green tea Yakult drinks at home sometimes, but somehow the ones from a shop just taste better. It honestly brought me right back to the drink stands in Taiwan. Same nostalgic flavor. I guess I just don’t buy boba and specialty drinks that often anymore because there are way too many new Asian chains opening in the U.S., and I can’t keep up.

They’re actually known for their salted cheese foam drinks and egg waffles. If we hadn’t just eaten, I definitely would’ve added one.

Service was quick and the staff was friendly. I think I just found my go-to spot when I’m craving an authentic Taiwan-style drink.

“Yesterday afternoon I went to visit Koko Chicken in Garden Grove. It wasn't very busy. There was probably one other table seated and some people coming in and out for takeout orders. The server was very friendly, very attentive, and great about taking my order.

They only make the chicken fresh here; it's all made to order. They dropped off some pickled daikon and some coleslaw-like cabbage dish and then I waited for about 15-20 minutes before the chicken came out fresh. I got a two-piece crispy fried chicken with fries and steamed rice. He also brought out ketchup and the sweet soy on the side for me. The chicken was so juicy and crispy on the outside; it was amazing, definitely one of the best fried chicken experiences in Orange County. If you need a quick lunch this might not be the spot but it's a great place to have phenomenal fried chicken. It's a dark vibe inside but I know at night it's fun to drink and eat here with your friends. I will definitely come back.“

I went to an amazing piece of OC LGBTQIA Community history opened in 1985 by Ted Heier one of the first, and only bar/clubs like it for many years in Orange County. Still is one of very few. Ted Heiers legacy lives on through his amazing family and friends who still run it with all the safe warm and positive uplifting spirit the Frat House has always been known for. I know I used to frequent this place with all my friends in the 90’s… oh no showing my age!! 🤣 This place was always a secure, safe, positive supporting space for so many amazing for a lot of us native Southern Californians and Visitors to come and really let your hair down, and get loose!! I saw a lot of amazingly hot couples and singles of all diversity’s represented. Most of my lifestyle couples and single friends used to love this place and it seems to still be providing that safe secure fun positive vibe to this day. Oh ya for all my Braddahs and Sista’s in arms they really know how to take care of us military trust me let them know you are valid ID required, and they will be sure you get some real VIP treatment.. so come on up from Camp Pendleton, even all the way from 32nd street get a room close to the club this place is definitely worth it!! For all my lifestyle braddahs and sistas this place is the real deal just small enough to really enjoy all of it to its full potential and just big enough well you know…. 😉 they’re are only open Fridays and Saturday nights for now, just trying to recover from the last few years of Covid etc. However I’m very confident this place will be opening up again more days and hours real soon!! “The spot is located on the premises of the Garden Grove Home Depot. They have three tables set up right by their spot with a total of seven chairs.

The staff, which included a man and a woman were nice.

I had the beef teriyaki bowl and I was surprised it was so delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, the teriyaki sauce was not too rich in consistency or watery, and not overwhelmingly sweet, it was perfect. The rice had the perfect texture too. 5/5

I also had a corn dog and it was the first thing I ate. Hehe he, I was pretty hungry. It was indeed better than other corn dogs I've had.

I also witnessed a belligerent woman who was being so rude and disrespectful to the staff and the staff remained calm and very respectful after the woman was making all sorts of rude comments. Props to them for handling the situation with the utmost professionalism and respect despite the way they were being mistreated.

Overall, I had a positive experience with some delicious beef teriyaki and I'll be going for more. If you have not visited them I highly recommend you do.“
