Egg on the Ojai burger was perfectly cooked and the patty well seasoned. Spicy Miso fries were wicked tasty and huge portion. Katsu Sando takeaway was super crispy which is a must, along with the cut of chicken being substantial. I’ll be going back.“

“I'd never dine in at this restaurant before but it did help me pinpoint the location of Chapman university when I first started driving around the area. Hopefully one day I'll dine here, perhaps take my friends and family, and make it wonderful. Also as someone that loves both waffles and chicken and other kinds of well-made food. “I love the chicken tortellini Alfredo, and I tried the calizone for dessert. My coworker had the lamb chop and said it was perfectly portioned. Mine was big enough for lunch and dinner. Great atmosphere and great food. I am sure though that it probably was not good for my diet, but then again good food and Italian food especially never is, but once in a while it is fine I am sure. Picked this spot among the many coffee options because of the high rating. It was stuffed with what I believe were either Chapman U students or local high schoolers, getting harder to tell the difference as I age. This is an all cold brew on draft place (also matches and non coffee cold drinks). No espresso drinks. My cold brew was very good with delicate flavors (had it black) the kids seemed to prefer the more sugary confections. Oh to be a student again! “Great place for an delicious dinner and is a good value. This is the old Ruby's restaurant. This restaurant didn't do much to change the decor after taking it over from Ruby's, so it has a sort of a coffee shop feel which is fine. Food was delicious and service was excellent! They have a full bar, and live entertainment later in eve. We will be back!“
“RUN, don't walk to this incredible breakfast crepe spot in the Orange Circle. I've never been to their original location but today my wife and I were walking around the circle with our son and noticed a new spot we hadn't seen before. Small patio and unassuming spot but the moment you walk in you're shocked at how nice and airy and bright the space is with a larger dining area in the back. Their coffee and food menu is large but so many amazing options from sweet to savory and also a kids menu which was a plus. My wife got a savory crepe and loved it, I got the steak breakfast sandwich which was incredible and my son had a crepe quesadilla which I realize is even better than a normal one cause the crepe is so soft he loved it. Lavender latte for the wife which she is very picky with and said it's one of the best she's ever had, delirium beer for me. All around this place is above and beyond our new favorite spot to come to with very reasonable prices and an incredible menu. The seating is great, right on the circle of Orange. As you eat the delicious sandwiches, you can reminisce about the Orange circle Literally existing in 1880 (the didn’t have cars back then!!!). There is a sign on the bank building stating when it was built, as well as the library having a plethora of information (including the original fountain). Enjoy the wonderful sandwiches !!! ?“

“I was visiting town and my friend and I were walking around the circle. Very cute area and then we saw this brewery. Of course we stopped by for happy hour! Very cool vibe in there. Lots of space! We sat at the bar and enjoyed some beers. We didn't have any food but it did look solid. What I really loved is they have special glasses for their regulars. How cool!!! “Went for breakfast here yesterday. First of all it's so cute inside. We love the decor. Our server was Julia and she was top-notch! Not only was she so sweet but she always came by making sure everything was okay. Food wise we got the Bella Bella Benny. A different take on an eggs benedict. It came with a side of hash browns. My daughter and I split the Benny so we ended up getting an extra side of hash browns which I'm glad we did, because they are so good! The Bella Bella Benny was also really good. We also got a side of the bacon, which is basically a delicious kind of candied bacon with a little spice to it. This was so delicious we probably could have eaten about six slices each! But the order only came with three, lol. For drinks we got the honey oat latte (cold) and a vanilla almond latte ( cold) these were both really good. Had a great experience here. I've had the chance to try a number of different blends at Philz--some of the standouts to me are the Ecstatic, Tesora, and Philtered Soul. Philz is typically fairly busy, so you will have to wait for your drink, but it is definitely worth it. Likewise, if you don't mind the hustle and bustle of the space with so many people being there, it can be a great place to get work done.“

“They took an old Santa Fe train depot and converted it to a diner. Lots of seating. I judge diners on their bacon cheeseburgers. This place made fantastic ones. Thick, smokey bacon. Fresh beef. Crispy lettuce. Savory everything. Fries were so-so. Only two guys at the grill, but they hustled. All the staff hustled. There was not much of a wait between ordering and receiving the food. Amtrak and Metrolink trains zoom past the restaurant but they are not intrusive. Excellent all around.“
“I visited Green Tomato Grill for the first time yesterday at about 5:30 in the afternoon. It was fairly busy, but they had two cashiers taking orders, so it went quickly. However , they had only one person in the kitchen. It took a little longer to get orders. The staff handled the crowd very well. They were quick but friendly. I got the bowl with black beans, chopped chicken, avocado, and a delicious dressing. It was very good. I will definitely get it again. The service and the food were worth a second trip. Having family members who are vegetarians and gluten intolerant, I was very impressed with their wide variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices.“

The design brought in by Play is both fun (expressive colors) and minimal.
