“**4.5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Sweet Mood Westminster: A Fun Dive into Vietnamese Sweets**
Tucked in the heart of Little Saigon on Bolsa Ave, **Sweet Mood** is the colorful novelty dessert spot that’s perfect when you’re craving something cold and quirky after a pho run 🍧🇻🇳. The place is bright and playful—pastel walls, cute neon signs, and a long counter loaded with vibrant toppings. It’s classic fast-casual: order at the register, watch them assemble your treat, and grab it to go or enjoy at the small tables. **Convenient location** with plenty of plaza parking, and it’s open late—ideal for late-night sugar fixes.
**Service was friendly**—the staff smiled, patiently explained options for first-timers, and everything came out quick even during the weekend rush.
The **Vietnamese sweets** are definitely the draw here: I got the classic chè ba màu (three-color dessert) and a mixed fruit chè with coconut milk. Layers of mung bean, red bean, pandan jelly, and plenty of toppings like grass jelly and lychee. Flavors are authentic—sweet, creamy, and refreshing with that signature Southeast Asian vibe. Portions are generous and fun to dig through.
That said, deductions based on my personal preferences keep it from a full 5. I’m not the biggest fan of **crushed ice** (it waters things down a bit for me), the **mix** of textures can feel chaotic (beans + jelly + fruit all at once), and some **Vietnamese desserts** lean into “weird” territory for my palate—like the slightly starchy beans or intense pandan.
Still, Sweet Mood nails the novelty factor and delivers legit Vietnamese chè in a friendly, convenient spot. If you love adventurous sweets or grew up on these, you’ll rate it higher. For me, it’s a solid 4.5—fun to try, and I’d come back with friends who are bigger fans.“

“My first time here and had a great experience. The menu had tons of choices for matcha and iced coffee lovers as well as fruit teas and smoothies. Nice, clean and cozy environment. Friendly staff .
Huge parking lot (located in large plaza) so shouldn’t be too hard for parking on a regular day. Loved that there’s different cream tops.
I tried salty cream matcha and it did not disappoint!“

“I ordered the đậu xanh rau má (mung bean pasted with pennywort leaves) with half sweet and it was alright. The mung bean paste tasted old and plain, it slumped together and they didn't add much of it in the drink either. The taste of the leaves on the other hand is good, smell like the leaf itself not the artificial. So I can only give them 3pts. When I walked in the place was empty and they were all in the back , they didnt see or hear me w my friend walking in. I had to call them out to take my orders. The place also need a quick clean too“

“Really cute spot with delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and donuts! They have all the creamers and flavors and half and half for you to customize your own coffee! Their donuts were light and delicious and they gave 2 free donut holes with my hot sandwich! Highly recommend!“

“Small, hole-in-the-wall place, but it was AWESOMENESS on a bun! I'd heard about this local legend in the South and had to see what it was all about before heading back up to Monterey. I really do wish the hot dogs were all-beef. The burgers were killer! WE NEED a Monterey or even a San Jose location. Definitely coming back for more!“

“Good egg rolls place with other reasonable & affordable noodles & congee dishes - to go only that is. Outside is abit dirty and outdated but inside is very updated, spacious and cleaned. I been here so many times before (decades ago) for their congee dishes and coffee (they used to have combo). Still very yummy and great, friendly folks working there. I got 5 of combo (shrimps/pork) egg rolls and 5 regular (pork) rolls for less the! $10. Not bad. They also do part trays too.“

“First time here, and Hoang Gia's owner Tang is the nicest and most friendly host!
Customer service is top notch, which will have me come back...
We tried the Crunchy Egg Rolls, which was made fresh, hot, and crispy!
The Nem Nuong Roll was delicious!
We were lucky to try a free sample of his Wonton as they sold out of it.
The Green Thai Tea was refreshing as well! My kids can't wait to come back to eat everything again!
Next time, I will try the Banh Canh Noodle Soup, I saw someone ordered it and the seafood were all individually packed for freshness!
Their cakes looked delicious as well!“

“This my second time here, and definitely easy going and great service for sure. Easy parking and small menu. The hole in the wall was cute and clean fills with baked goods upon walking in. So I heard that they’re known for the Pate Chaud and baguettes, and they do yummy. I ordered a pate chaud, a sandwich and a sweet treat. Pate Chaud has a great but small portion well mixed meat filling, the crusty pastry was mixed for me, top part was crusty and smell fantastic but as you voted into it, it become tough and abit chewy for me. The bánh mì, for me didn’t do much - just nothing special. The baguette was not hot nor crisp as you bite in it, it was just room temperature. The size is abit smaller then other place with decent price for it. The opera cake was abit disappointed for me, I love love this cake and it was just below average for me, abit sweeter then I would like, the bottom of the cake sticked to the paper and the cake itself was just fell like cake mixed from the box. Just nothing special. The displaced cakes look great so will come back to get them to give a taste another time.“

“Came here for dinner tonight. I got the chili cheese dog, the boyfriend got The Mayor’s Sampler. Loved it all! The buns, dogs & chili were delicious! The really shining star for me was the French fries, they literally use fresh potatoes and cut them in front of you. What a delight. For both our meals as combos, we spent around $31.“
“One of the Korean biggest international food chain that you need to try! Their food is delicious and comforting.
I had:
1. Stir-fried jajangmyeon
2. Meat jjampong
3. Shrimp fried rice
4. Sweet and sour pork
5. Sweet and spicy chicken wings“

“This is a decent place to eat. Good food, friendly staff. Just don’t order a regular Americano with cream and sugar, they don’t know what creamer is. For a place called The Coffee Factory that was a big surprise. Even so this is a very good place to eat.“
“I’ve been getting coffee at both the Brookhurst and Moran Location for many years. Their coffee has a balanced sweetness and bitterness to it with a hint of chicory.
FYI: This place is mainly for on the go. Unless you plan on dining in somewhere nearby, there is no place to sit and enjoy the coffee and/or the pastries provided.
Overall, if you want to get some caffeine in your system for a quick jolt of energy and you’re in the Little Saigon area, I highly recommend getting your coffee at Gala.“
“With 90 degrees weather in March, decided to ☀️ 90° in March?! Say less… BOGO run activated 🧋🔥 take a drive to Tran Cream Coffee to snatch up their BOGO deal.
The Banafe hits with that bold Vietnamese coffee kick, balanced with a smooth hint of banana 🍌—rich, strong, and lowkey addictive.
The Banacha is the soft girl of the duo—subtle sweetness where matcha and banana blend perfectly without overpowering each other. Creamy, refreshing, and just right for this heat.
Two drinks. One deal. Zero regrets.“

“I've visited this restaurant a few times, and I'm absolutely in love with their food. I've tried Bún Mắm, Bún Suông, and Bún Bò Huế to-go. I highly recommend the Bún Mắm and Bún Suông. The broth is rich and flavorful, and what I really appreciated is that it wasn’t overly salty. The meat and fish were incredibly fresh. This is one of the few places where Bún Mắm didn’t upset my stomach. As for the Bún Bò Huế, it was just okay for me—the broth didn’t leave a strong impression. The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. The restaurant itself isn’t very large, but it’s still spacious enough for big groups. Their service is quick and friendly, so you don't have to wait for too long to be seated. It’s clean, and there’s plenty of parking. I’m looking forward to coming back to try the Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm and Trà Đào next.“

“The catering here is next level. Prices are fair, food quality is high and there is great communication in regard to pick up time. My family has been ordering from here for years for our large gatherings. I love the variety of menu options from traditional Vietnamese appetizers, sides, desserts and entree dishes. Highly recommend ordering from here for your next event.“
“What a fantastic little gem! I've been here a few times this month, and each visit has been completely delightful, with so many yummy treats to enjoy. They have an amazing number of ice cream flavors (more than 31 flavors I bet) and there's lots of seating so you can hangout and savor every bit of your ice cream! Just look at how happy this little one is with his ice cream cone—pure joy! 🍦🎉 so glad it's local and in Hb. Took the kids right after school 👏“

“It is delicious & addictive (even when you desire less sugar). I don’t live in CA, but I come to visit my adult children often. This dessert was “introduced” to me by my daughter’s Vietnamese friend and I can eat 2 or 3 of these desserts in a day or two. I don’t eat bobba anymore. Now, the only reason I am giving it a four stars is because of the ridiculous long line no matter what time of the day you come or of you order in-store or online - it’s nothing against them (the staff are efficient), but it’s just SOOOOO popular and parking is an issue.“

“Great food and service but the location is bad. Homeless people are everywhere asking for money and doing drugs in broad daylight, blankets and trash are left in front of shops, and it smells like urine outside. A homeless man even followed a man and his kid into the bakery asking for money and stood there the whole time as they ordered and paid.“
“This Tous les Jours is tucked inside HMart a super convenient little stop when you need a quick pick me up coffee and something sweet. Came by the other day for a coffee and pastry run. The ube latte was so good and not overly sweet. Just smooth and flavorful. The pastries were dangerous tho. Lol. I will say tho when I was in Seoul last year they had this grapefruit tea that I’m still thinking about. I really wish they had it here because it was that good! Service here is fast there’s almost never a line and being inside the HMart food court makes it a convenient grab and go while you’re shopping.“

“Their takeout is definitely worth trying! We ordered the roast pork with rice, which came with green beans. It was simple but tasty—though we would have preferred the pork warmed up. There wasn’t much seasoning, but the crispy skin and rich fat made up for it. We also tried the BBQ pork, which was nicely charred and tender. The added BBQ sauce had a subtle sweetness that paired well with the rice. It’s cash only, no tip expected, and the service was quick and easy.“

“I just bought some roast pork and roasted duck at this Hao Vi place yesterday 2/24/2024. Their food were very good as they advertised. The service was very nice and pleasant. Severs and cashier are very friendly and courteous. Definitely I will come back anytime when I am going to O.C.“
“This is an update since I have been eating at this place for years. The dishes are very authenticly southern Chinese varieties. If you love Cantonese noodles, this IS the place. My mom introduced me to this place in the late 1990s...This is my go-to Cantanose favorite place- they also have a couple of Nam Vang dishes (Cambodia noodles?). Oh I forgot to mention anither fav dish is 'Tsao kweh'-- so good.“
“This restaurant is obviously one of the best place to eat in the neighborhood. Anytime I come there I am deeply pleased. They hold their very high level service and the topmost level of meals they serve. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.“

“My grandpa put me on to this place — turns out my parents put him on. 😂 Full circle.
We always come here for his favorite: Cơm Phần Gia Đình (Family Dinner). You get to choose your dishes — soup, main, appetizer, etc. The portions are sized by how many people you’re feeding. We always get the meal for two even though there are three of us (me and my grandparents), but it’s perfect since my grandma doesn’t eat much.
Our usual lineup:
Rau muống xào tỏi (water spinach with garlic) — extra garlic always. Worth the upcharge.
Canh chua — classic, solid.
Cá kho tộ (caramelized braised catfish) — this is why we come back. It’s done so well here, better than most other spots. Rich, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth kind of good.
They also give you a side of white rice, of course.
Service is quick, staff speaks both English and Vietnamese, and it seems like everyone in the restaurant is always ordering the same set. It’s just one of those comforting, homestyle Vietnamese spots — nothing fancy, but clean (no sticky floors!) and consistent.
Bonus: It’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from TK.“

“Went here for the first time on Sunday around 7pm and the cashier (did not get her name :( but she has a septum piercing!) was so nice and patient with me after asking her several questions about how the food is made because my daughter has several allergies and not once did she seem bothered or annoyed with my questions she even went as far as to ask the owner to make sure the food wasn’t made with anything my daughter is allergic to. She is the best and the food was good as well ☺️“

“This is your definite GO TO for authentic Vietnamese desserts, hands down! I ordered the Chè Ba Màu, Chè Thái, Bánh bèo, Bánh
Cam, Bánh bao, and a mung bean jello dessert.
Whether savory or sweet, this restaurant has it. Parking is horrific and the lines are long, but patience is key if you want some of these sweets. Bring CASH only and brush up on your Vietnamese language. Also, you have to be a bit aggressive when ordering. Wave your hand when it’s your turn or else they will miss you and go to the next person. Overall, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for Che.“

Super friendly, always have an amazing food, they make food, theres ready to go food, drinks they can make, drinks you can just grab. Price is reasonable and affordable. Parking is not hard to find at all. There’s a lot. Located in the Goldenwest Village. I always come here when I get a chance to.“
