“Saw great review. Finally have a chance to try. Love it! Great Mexican restaurant. Good food, healthy and affordable. Good place to come with family and friends. We try combo plates and two blacken fish tacos. Rice is white with lime and butter flavor. Food is lightly seasons. We want to keep going back.“
“Went there with family and friends and they were able to accommodate us (party of ten two kids) within 10 minutes of getting there. (No reservation). Food was really good and the service was awesome. Salsa was really good too. It's next to the orange circle and we were able to walk around after dinner and check out other places. We will be back.“
“Excellent Mexican food and a great fast casual spot in the circle! My favorite taco here is the Sonora taco which is on a flour tortilla, carbs asada, guacamole, beans, and cheese. It’s like a mini burrito to me and is a must try here! The camaron taco is amazing as well. Highly recommend trying!“
“Delicious and authentic Mexican food is what you will find! We went on the weekend and it was hopping with happy families! We ordered their ceviche (shrimp and fish) and it came out so much better than expected and topped with a generous portion of avocado on top! As our mains we ordered the beef and chicken fajitas and menudo. Both came out hot and teaming with wonderful authentic flavors we know and love. We capped our meal off with the fried ice cream. A must for any meal ending! The ice cream is rolled in cereal for a wonderful crunch and cinnamon added to ignite your taste buds. So delicious and fun to eat!“
“Always packed, which is a great thing. I have been going to snatch up carnitas burrito and 4 tacos for damn near 25 years. The Salsa is on point with a kick to it. They have a ton of items I go strictly for the carnitas. I would definitely recommend this little bomb spot. If you're in the area this is a delicious place to grub. Love it . Thanks Los Reyes for all the great Food, and keep it .“
“This gem north of the orange plaza (circle) can't be beat! Authentic but also able to accomodate my special diet. Wonderfully prepared by a friendly couple who know food. Huraches, Sopes, Nopal, along with the usual. Im a fan of the Huevos Mexicanos and the Cactus and beefsteak.“
“I wanted to try this place out, and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the enchilada platter and it came with rice and beans. My order was take out and portions were generous. The Enchiladas were delicious, I loved the red sauce and taste! Everything was neatly packaged for take home and included chips and salsa, my son ordered a burrito and he loved it. The girl at the counter was very nice too.“

“We decided to order a chicken burrito plate and a chili verde plate. Both came with rice and beans in nice metal containers delivered hot. There is a sufficient portion that I was able to have half then the other half the following day. The rice didn’t have much flavor but I did enjoy all the melted cheese that covered the top of everything. As for the burrito, it has lots of chicken but nothing else which I would have preferred lettuce or something that would break up all the chicken. Their chips were over cooked but tasted okay with the salsa.“
“The Most Awesome Mexican family restaurant in the city of Orange Hands Down. Went there for my Birthday ? Dinner. Was an Excellent experience with Alex the manager making everything Great!! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Will help you out in any way possible. Best Mexican Restaurant in the city of Orange. Hands down. ?“
“My boyfriend & I came on a Tuesday morning around 9:45am and we got sat right away and were even given preference if we wanted a booth in the back or front. I got the Loco's Hot Biscuit & my boyfriend got the Breakfast Burrito with red sauce. I also got a coffee and they had my favorite hazelnut creamer. Our food was great and served nice and hot. I got my eggs poached and they came out perfect. The side of fruit was also tasty. The pineapple was my favorite.“
“So I found out about this place on Tiktok and took some friends in to try it.We traveled down from Oregon and had to stop in.We were greeted at the door by Laura, the owner, and had just a fabulous interaction with her. What an amazing lady!!!!Her service and expansion of the menu were perfect.....Every one of her recommendations was spot on and absolutely amazing! Her house made coffee was hands down the BEST coffee I've ever had. I must have drank a gallon while dining.Every dish was layered with amazing flavors and was prepared perfectly. If you want the best meal of your life and a super wonderful experience, please visit this wonderful restaurant that will make you feel at home.Great job, Laura and Team Super Antojitos!!! “Hidden mariscos spotThey are bomb and at a great price! Service is fast and family friendly. I'm glad it's a Sinaloa Mexican restaurant that isn't so loud that we can't hear eachother talk. Bathrooms are nice and cleans !“
“Although I have lived in East Orange for 35 years this was my first visit to El Picosito. Here are some pros and cons:Pros: The food is pretty good. The Taco / Enchilada plate was well seasoned and competently prepared. The presentation was pretty nice too. I like the big windows with a good view of Chapman. I don't like eating in caves, but maybe that's just me. They have good menu. It is pretty hard to find Gorditas but it's on the menu here. Cons:The music is really loud. The clerk had a hard time hearing our order. It was hard to chat with my wife. Pricing is a little high. I notice in the menu photos on Yelp that the plate orders have gone up recently by over 10%. I get it, labor and ingredient costs have gone up. That being said, this is a competitive market and I am not seeing anything special enough to fully justify the price. --------------Will we go back? Probably for takeout. The loud music was a bit much.“
“The tastes transport you to your native country. Huge servings and excellent, welcoming service in a spotless setting. We sampled the Pambazo, which was enormous and delicious. The cheese enchiladas that my wife had were equally as good. The only strange restriction—never heard of that before—was that you couldn't mix and match an enchilada plate. Apart from that, however, everything was spot on. We'll return and suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine Mexican meal.“
“Drive through. Service was great. Everything was as we ordered. Various takes on beef steak. Shredded, chopped or chunked. Seasoned deliciously. No beans or rice came with it (may not serve it) but we got tacos and the sandwich. Filled with beef, more than you'd expect and slightly spicy. So.. Good! ?“
“Casual taco spot that has amazing food at great prices! One of the most affordable spots for the quality. They have a self service salsa bar with pickled carrots, limes, grilled onions, jalapeño, and fried potatoes. I’ve been here once or twice and the food was not the usual quality (it was a different chef I’ve never seen so it may just have been that they weren’t as seasoned) but usually always bomb. My personal favs are the lengua, cabeza, and al pastor tacos. I’ve had the carne asada and thought it was not bad but doesn’t out do my three favs. Not a “fancy” spot by any means so wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a cute dinner. The seating is limited and can get crowded during peak hours. As mentioned below, parking can be tricky during peak hours due to limited parking in the lot, but if you hit it an hr or two after peak there usually aren’t any issues. Highly recommend!Parking: During dinner time it can be really tricky to find parking since the lot is small. Try to stop by on off peak hours.“
“Really good food, like really good… And the portion sizes are amazing. Not cheap, but still a great value for how much food you get. The lines outside kind of say at all. I challenge you to eat more than two of their tacos without feeling overly full. Best Carnitas Tacos and best fish tacos I’ve had in a long long time.“
“Digg the enchiladas ( all of them) & fresh ? guacamole.New paint looks stellar ?Beverage selection is choice .... pleasantly surprised.Epic location for people watching...holy ?.A goose on a leash is hanging out on bench. “The Taco Boss is such a hole in the wall but I absolutely love it. I've been coming here for taco Tuesday for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it. Parking is easy, but theres construction on the street outside which can make it hard to get to. This is probably one of the most cheapest places for taco Tuesdays (tacos are around $2-3), but the quality is superb. The food is super amazing and their salsas are all really spicy and take the food to another level. The service is also amazing. The server/cashier is super nice and friendly, shes also very hardworking. I'm not sure her name but she is there every time I walk in the door. Our food gets out quickly and theres really never much of a wait. All in all, I'm definitely coming back and I look forwards to bringing new people to discover the wonderful Taco Boss!“
“It is a very good place to eat. I have been going to that place for more than 12 years and during these years I have always been served by a waitress named Adriana. She provides excellent service to my family. She is always attentive to what we order. Thank you Adriana for your service and the restaurant for its tasty “
“I had the breakfast burrito. Simple enough. Yummy and salty enough! There was a mixed green salad with a sweet citrus vinaigrette and verde salsa to accompany this potato, egg, bacon, chorizo, avocado salsa and oaxacan cheese burrito. It just hit all the right flavor notes!!Parking: It’s limited. The center fills up fast at meal times.“
“Our family came here on a Saturdaynight and had great service from Gerardo. He made sure to keep our waters filled, answered all of our questions thoroughly about the menu, and was prompt with taking our orders. He did a great job! Also the ambience of the restaurant was great with good music and lighting.“
“We found this little gem when we moved to Orange 3 years ago and get food from there at least twice a month. The people that work there are so nice, friendly and really care about their customers. Now to the food. It is excellent! The tacos and carnitas burritos are to die for. They make guacamole from scratch and it’s the best we’ve ever had. Breakfast burritos are awesome. So let’s support this local, family owned business. Times are tough for some folks, but believe me you won’t be disappointed. Their prices are really good too.“
“This place is fire!!! And under $50 fed the whole family, and that's a meal and drink for everyone. Not only is this place sparkling clean, but the food was amazing. Salsas we're all a hit and they had a great drink and popsicle section. This place was not crowded, and the staff was awesome! Please check them out! They deserve to have a line out the door!“
“The Best Food In Town, Great Prices,Awesome Staff & Outstanding Customer Service. Do Not Spend Your $$$ Elsewhere, Definitely The Best Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Around. Mention My Name Harvey For A Great Family Discounts On Your Meals.... ????“
“The delicious meatballs and the birria, all fresh and tasty, my husband is a regular customer, until a few weeks ago when the Menudo came out in a super stinky state and he was left without eating because he takes his food to work, so be careful with that, and Be more careful. Other clients do not return.“
“Service was fast and friendly, food was good and at the right temp. Had the chips and salsa to start with a side of refried beans which I recommend you order; a cold chelada, which is beer and lime juice, that hit the spot on that warm day. The only thing I would say was a miss was the margarita, a bit too sweet for me, fixed that by switching to the chelada.“
“Good place for Mexican food. Salsa is chunky and not my kind but the chips were fresh and yummy. Had the 3 combo plate with chile relleno, beef taco, and pork tamale. Relleno was fantastic. They use really good cheese. Margaritas were really good. I would come back.Parking: Parking in back of restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get in door. Wide enough.“
“Super delicious! I literally said Oh My God - so delicious! when I took the 1st bite of my chicken burrito. Friendly waiter - his smile lit up the place, wonderful food - I had the chicken burrito and my husband had the asada jalapeno bacon quesadilla. The burrito was huge - my husband had to help me finish it! We brought half of the quesadilla home for later! We will be back!“
“been loving this store since I was a child remember my mom would take me there and shop and the music is cool or whatever, new people I love how theirs other stores, I just want to say thank you for your service. (: if you are in town there's a bunch of things In there from bakery to other smaller businesses there hustling Keep up the Animooo Good Job, I've never had a problem inside there.(: corazoneszzz“
“If you saw it from the outside, you probably wouldn't think you could buy prepared food here. But it's legit, the enchiladas are probably some the best flavor wise I've eaten. Red or green sauce always good. Tortas are pinpoint and simple. Street tacos are good, just ask for extra cilantro and onions. Salsa is key...very good“
“This small, quaint restaurant is nestled in a small strip mall off Tustin Ave in Orange, CA. From the outside, it's easy to miss driving North on Tustin. The parking lot is small also. When you enter the comfortable-lit restaurant, you are greeted by soothing Spanish music. I came, in for the first time, close to Thanksgiving. The decorations were appropriate for the time of year. Very nice setting to enjoy a delicious meal. The young lady gave me an inviting smile and greeting as soon l entered the establishment. The first time I came through I got the signature item, Tamles. I got 3 green-sauce chicken tamales. They were small, but full of meat and very flavorful. They were well-packaged and came with homemade hot green salsa. You can choose red salsa too. I got the green. She included napkins and salsa without me having to ask. This is a plus nowadays because most restaurants won't give you anything more than the order if you don't ask.The chicken was so tender and the tamales were well complimented by the salsa provided to me. The tamales may look small but once you start eating this art you come to realize it's worth the $3 for one. The cost was around $3 each as of 11/21/23. I did eat all 3 and was full. The following day I felt like I had to try out their $2 Taco Tuesday deals. These were Street tacos with your choice of Pork, chicken, or Steak. I went with 2 steak and 2 chicken. The Asada was so flavorful and delicious. Add the salsa and it is amazing. The pollo was not shredded. It was more cubed. It was delicious but dry-tasting. I put extra sauce on it. I was hoping the same pollo in the tamales would be in the taco. It was good but I prefer the Asada.I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the hospitality, cleanliness, and taste. Try for yourself.I ordered an extra side of green salsa to go because I really enjoyed it.Parking: Small parking lotKid-friendliness: Friendly and kind.Wheelchair accessibility: There is parking available“
“I originally tried their food at a VP women's league event and the meats were tender and fresh! So thought I would give this market/deli a try on my own. I think they achieved 85% of the quality level that I experienced at the event, but the condiments were a bit lacking and the carne asada was a bit dry. The pollo was still tender so that was a plus! Always ask for extra lime and cilantro/onion. The tortillas weren't warm already, so that was something I had to do at home. I would definitely file this place away for a future event and a competitor to Taqueria de Anda.“
“Hot slam. When I was reading them reviews for the quesadillas de chicharon I was like “aight let’s see what’s up.”Nothing could have prepared me more. SHIIIIIIIIIIEACH BITE BRO. WAS ANOTHER BITE CLOSER TO MY GRAVE.Bro the tortilla. Hand made. Somehow tender and crispy. Bruh tortillas usually dont shine this much. The cheese and the chicharron bro. Mega juicy and flavorful. Not too much, just enough to satisfy your tongue.I have never had an eating experience like this. I have eaten at hella taquerias and SHIIIII THIS ONE BUILT DIF.I had to order another one togo for my mom right after. I expect an identical reaction.“
“Went on a VERY RAINY DAY to get my father a bowl of albongigas soup they had turkey albongigas (meatballs) and also had citrus slaw and potato tacos ? he loved ? ? it all and I was able to fulfill his desire for that soup everywhere else we went the rest only has beef cocido he wanted meatballs and he got it “
“Delicious, authentic Mexican restaurant and pastry shop. The restaurant serves a number of dishes such as burritos, tacos, taquitos, tamales, etc. with a variety of meat (or vegetable) options; everything that I've tried has been amazing. It's one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in SoCal.They draw quite a crowd, but the service goes quickly (you line up to order at the counter). The dining area is relatively small, but quaint; there are also a few tables outside. The pastry area has a separate counter from the restaurant where you can select your pastries and pay. The pastries are also very delicious, with a variety of flaky pastries (some with fillings and some without), cookies, etc.“
“First time eating here and the food we ordered was good but there’s definitely room for improvement. First off, the cóctel de camarón (shrimp cocktail) was so full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice with the added bits of jalapeño and loads of shrimp, avocado, tomato, etc.Next was the filete de pescado plate (fish fillet) that my husband ordered along with a chicken burrito (besides the fact that there was not enough meat in the burrito and it was packed with rice and beans, it was good). The fish plate itself was good but we’ve made better at home so I’ll leave it there.Next, the caldo de res (beef soup) with veggies, potato and beef- now that was honestly the highlight of the meal. The flavor was so well put together and the meat was tender and just added lime and it was perfect! Would def order this again!Next was the sopes de al pastor and carne asada. The sopes themselves were good and I highly recommend those. They held up pretty well and didn’t fall apart while holding and the meat was flavored well. The tostada de ceviche was my final part of the meal and although it was cooked , the flavor just was not there. It wasn’t like it didn’t have enough, there was a lot of shrimp but it tasted like it wasn’t sitting in the flavor juices long enough if that makes sense. All across the board- this place is a definite 8 out of 10. The food and presentation was good- it’s not very noticeable from the street and I only found it through google maps but I will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu. ??“
“Celebrated my moms 76 birthday here yesterday & service was awesome! Wasn't busy, sat out on patio, party of 12 & we loud, but our waitress was on top of it & really helped make my moms b-day special. Thanks for the bday candle & plates?I didn't get her name, but wanted to say thanks again for a great night. Will be back!“
“Just tried this place for lunch based on Google reviews. It did not disappoint!! Friendly staff, great service. The crunchy tacos and Machaca were amazing! Fresh, flavorful. We were pleasantly surprised by the spicy salsa. Would highly recommend!“
“Good food. Good quality meat. I ordered the 3 asada t and 2 al pastor tacos. They were really good. Comes with a bowl of soup and the soup reminds me of what soup my mom use to give me when I was little. If I'm in the area, I will definitely come back! Cheers“
“Thank you so much for a wonderful time today! We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday, I was very impressed with your service, food, mariachi! We had a great time! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! May you continue to be prosperous El Mariachi Bar & Grill“
“This little hidden gem is one of our favorite places to eat for homemade AUTHENTIC Mexican food. We have been coming here for a few years, and every time is always saticfing. It is located in the heart of Orange ? it has a cute and quite homey antique vibe, and also, the staff are almost as good as the food.My family will forever talk about this place to our common foodies!“
“Five stars, but not for the lactose intolerant. This restaurant legitimately has great food, but if you're lactose intolerant you won't find anything on the menu you can eat done over here. Of course, you can have them take off the cheese and the cream and the other dairy in the menu items, but it won't taste the same and in my mind it doesn't taste as good.Dietary restrictions: There are few, if any, dishes that don't contain cheese and sweet cream or sour cream. They will serve you without cheese and cream, but it changes the flavor profile. The menu states that they politely asks that you don't request changes to the menu.“
“Miguel's Jr is renowned for its delicious Mexican cuisine, and my gratitude for the exceptional service extends to how well Omar and his team complement the dining experience with their hospitality. It's not just about the food, which is undoubtedly authentic and mouth-watering, but also about how the warmth and efficiency of the service enhance the overall enjoyment of the meal. Omar's adept management and personal touch make every visit special, further elevating the rich flavors and vibrant atmosphere that Miguel's Jr is loved for. It's a testament to how great leadership and a committed team can transform a simple meal into a memorable occasion. Thank you again to Omar and the staff for their outstanding service alongside the fantastic Mexican cuisine.“
“Jonny was our server the first time my friend & i came here and did not disappoint. We've been coming here for margarita Mondays and we always have a great time! Jonny always exceeds our expectations. The one thing I have a complaint about is the music. it's what's the same thing over and over again. we've tried to make suggestions but it's always the same music.. other than that Kalaveras is great.“
