“Hidden gem in Orange, CA that is hard to forget. I came here with someone very special to me and it's safe to say, they loved it as much as I did. Our server, Uma greeted us upon entering with a warm smile and she was just so lovely throughout the course of our dinner. She was very attentive and ensured that we were satisfied with the food and our experience periodically throughout the night. They truly care about their customer's satisfaction.

We ordered 1) Tom Kah (Coconut Soup), Medium Spicy 2) Fried Rice with Chicken, 3) Pad See Ew with Beef, Medium Spicy and their iconic 4)Mango Sticky Rice.

As I documented pictures of our meal throughout the night, clearly the Mango Sticky Rice dessert was so irresistible that when delivered to our table, we dove right in before photographing it. (Photos attached)

I would HIGHLY recommend the Coconut Soup as it is my absolute favorite item from this location. And their Pad See Ew is the best Pad See Ew I have ever had.

Lastly, the fried rice with chicken was made to perfection and so much so that my date and I deduced that their secret ingredient must be love.

The owners truly care about their guest experience and I can't stress that enough.

If you have the opportunity to dine in, please do so. But if you're unable to dine in, I can reassure you that once you try their dishes, you'll never forget them.”

“HI, I have to be honest. I was trying to find a way to contact Flappy Jacks as I have a proposition I think would be perfect for Flappy Jacks I have what is probably a bit of an unusual idea. Or maybe just a good idea. I know it is an unusual way to contact you but there was no email address. So I hope this works. I am from Columbia Missouri and I am visiting my Son, Grand Kids, and family there, just a few blocks to the East of Tustin. I am a musician, part time, and I like to street busk (play music on the streets) for grins. I noticed your nostalgic decor and your Elvis statues and the mural featuring the St Louis Arch, which is in Missouri on the Mississippi, of course, where I am from, and the 1930s, 40s and 50s nostalgia, and I wondered if you ever considered, or entertained the notion of having a little nostalgic live music, every now and then, perhaps even if only just once as an experiment. I just happen to play that old classic blues from that era, mostly, at least in this capacity, as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band. And I thought we might make a pretty good match up. As I said, at least, as an experiment. You can check me out at Facebook "Keith Fletcher, musician." Though most of that music is from my original music shows, and not my one man blues sets. I noticed you had a nice patio area where I could play outside and it might be a nice treat for your customers to have a bit of entertainment, just for a change of pace. They might really appreciate it since they obviously like your atmosphere. I don't play loud music. Unless folks want that, but I prefer to play soft. Or at least in situations like this. I've been the house band for BBQ joints and restaurants on several occasions. So I am familiar with the proper decorum. Mostly I was just looking for a little music adventure in CA within a walking distance of my Son's house, where I could carry a very tiny amp about the size of a cracker box, and my guitar to a gig. I thought maybe about just doing a street gig but saw your venue and something seemed to click. I hope you think so too. I estimate you are about a mile walking distance from his house and I only need an electrical plug. And probably some cool beverages. Like I said, I'm mostly in it for a small musical adventure, and so will play for tips, though, maybe you can pay me with free cold beverages, especially if it is hot, and maybe a sandwich or meal depending on how long I am there. It all looks delicious to me. If you find you'd like to host me again, and want me back, that might be possible over the week, and I may be back for the Christmas holiday. I might even be able to talk my Son into bringing the kids and family. Could be a total bust, or could be a very nice thing, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who knows? If it worked out well enough for both of us, you might even want to do it again sometime, Maybe even offer some kind of fee next time, if there is a next time. Life is an adventure. You / we, might stumble onto something good. If you would like to give it a whirl, what day and time would you think is good to catch a crowd? “Went went flunch on a Sunday. All the meats were extremely tender and flavorful. The barbecue beef rib was gigantic and worth the price—super tender, soft, and juicy. The pulled pork and pork ribs were delicious too, all cooked to perfection. I'd definitely go back for the meats alone. The sides were good but nothing special. The location was convenient, and service was excellent with a smile—the owner, a friendly man who's won barbecue tournaments, even came by to greet guests, and the bus boy checked on us several times. Overall, a solid casual spot if you're craving great barbecue.”

“My first time here yesterday and it was way better than I had expected. The portions were extremely generous and the food was so delicious. I came a little later in the day and so there was no salsa bar out. But because it's my first time here I'm not sure if they actually leave Salsas out for people or if that is a thing of the past and they just did not get rid of that station.
We ended up getting some flour tortilla tacos and they were huge. We did not realize how big they were going to be and so we ordered four of them for my husband. He's a pretty big guy and he was only able to do three. The avocado salsa was also really delicious.

“Came across this coffee shop after leaving a Doctors appointment. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed with rustic out door seating. Their coffees are the star along with their toasts. I've had several different coffees there and each were excellent. The staff is super friendly and patient and I try to go everytime im in the area. Also... they do do mostly coffee specials and if you were wondering if they can do a hot coffee cold or blended, ask! They will see what they can do and if they can't they'll point to an alternative. Def a place i will frequent!”

As a group, we also ordered specialty rolls and salads. We will most definitely return.”

“My favorite place to go eat when i visit my family in Santa Ana. I usually get their Fish platter. With black beans, rice, and Ensenada style fish. Ive tried their grilled fish which is actually subpar, definitely their worse style. Blackened is good, but Ensenada style is where its at.”

I've seen their business increase. The food is very good and competitively priced. Some comments I read earlier that it was overly priced they must go to Denny's a lot. The weekends get packed. Sometimes 1-2 hour wait for dinner. They have entertainment on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. They also have great Happy Hour specials M-F. I'm just another happy customer that has been coming in for years.”

“We first found Big Al's Pizzeria on IG. All of their pizzas caught our eye because of the unique flavors that they serve. We know that often times when you see something on IG and go experience a place in person it may not be as expected. That was NOT the case with Big Al's Pizzeria. WOW!! Can't even tell you how much they exceeded our expectations when it came to the flavors and textures that they deliver. You can tell that they use High Quality, Fresh Ingredients and take pride in their creations, especially with everything being homemade!! I know a lot of people say that it takes a while to receive their pizza but we can tell you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT AND CALORIES!! The combinations on their pizzas are next level and so fun and unique! The pizza dough has the perfect fluffiness, chewy texture and flavor. The wings WOW! Definitely in our top 5 of favorites! So crispy and flavorful! OOh plus the Brisket Sandwich and the bread they use... ufffff!!! Don't forget about Dessert! Even if you fill up on pizza you better at least take a slice home with you because IT IS WORTH IT!! They are large, creamy, flavorful and just AMAZEBALLS! We got the Tiramisu and it was NEXT LEVEL! Everything is OUT OF THIS WORLD and we can't recommend them enough!”

“Factually the best breakfast burrito in the state of CA. Staff made me feel welcomed, very professional and courteous. The place was bustling with many people in line, but my order came out right away! The burrito is massive. Every bite contains the perfect ratio of crispy tots, melted cheese, fluffy eggs, and crunchy bacon. I was amazed at how stuffed the burrito was without falling apart or being greasy at all! And the sauces...I tried the habanero salsa, cheese sauce, and avocado crema. They each carry distinct flavors that complement the burrito so well, I had to keep alternating sauces with every bite because I couldn't decide which one I liked best. All the ingredients used were top quality, the freshness really stood out. Once you try LJ’s there’s really no going back to normal breakfast burritos.”
