“We actually ended up at Salty Dawg Tavern by mistake because of a mix-up with our plans, but what a happy accident! This place is a total gem that we never would have discovered otherwise.
The food was great, the waitresses were super nice and friendly, and the overall vibe in the tavern was so much fun. It felt like the perfect spot for a relaxed, enjoyable time.
Highly recommend stopping in — even if you find it by accident like we did! We'll definitely be back on purpose next time. 🐶🍻“

“Came here with my boyfriend because of the Professional Beer Inspector on Instagram. This place had one of the coldest beers featured in his reviews, so we had to check it out.

As soon as we walked in, the music was legit. No horrible new songs--just classics and rock 'n' roll.

Everyone was having a great time inside. You could tell they were locals having real conversations. The crowd was more mature, which was chill, but everyone was still welcoming and friendly. We arrived right before it got too packed for Karaoke Night (Fridays). We met one of the bartenders, Dylan, and he was phenomenal. He took his time with our orders and personally introduced himself with a handshake. The group next to us randomly invited us to sit with them. They were friendly people. Another bartender, Nissa, was even singing behind the bar.

While I was waiting in line to place an order, the manager, Rudy, came up to me and introduced himself. He welcomed us, thanked us for coming in, and told us to let him know if we needed anything. He was very friendly.

The music was bumping, but it wasn't too loud. Someone was celebrating a birthday, but everyone was vibing together. The food was decent, the front patio was great, and yes, the beer was ice cold.

If you're looking for a place with a more genuine crowd, friendly people, and none of the pretentious attitude you find at some Orange County bars, this place is a breath of fresh air. Hit this place up. They're awesome.“

“The place is a small bar, two pool tables, a small dance floor, but the vibe is poppn'.. 5 of us went and we had a blast, we got lucky it was someone birthday and there was live music (banda). This was my first time in a sports bar in a longggg time and they made our group of 3 felt so at home as if we were regulars. “The newish bartender Amanda is great! I hadn't been to the bench in a while and I found the food offerings to be really good. Sometimes the salsa could use more heat(you have to ask for the non gringo version) but otherwise great all around. I will keep coming back for Amanda for sure. “honestly i was expecting a basic golf course bar with nothing but bud light and old peanuts but it actually has a solid craft beer selection including a couple local ipas i hadnt tried before. grabbed a burger and it was cooked perfectly with fresh toppings even though it took a little longer than i hoped to come out. the view from the patio looks right over the course so it a nice spot to just hang out and the servers were super friendly even when it got busy. my only small thing is the parking lot is kind of a mess especially on weekend afternoons with people dodging golfers. definitely will be back for the beer list alone even if im not playing that day.“

“I love this place everyone there makes you feel welcomed. The bartenders are amazing great service. If your looking to try out some new dranks definitely hit up Justine, her and juan (old bartender thats use to work there)got me hooked on that "Irish breakfast" shot definitely a must try if you wanna try out new dranks. Howard is a great karaoke dj fun and funny and treats everyone like family he makes it alot of fun. Security is friendly and hilarious. Over all great place and fun to go to.“

“We stayed at the Hilton in Costa Mesa and had coupons for complimentary Continental breakfast 2 mornings. The first morning we upgraded to hot buffet breakfast that included scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, oatmeal. The eggs were powered, the sausage tasted like cardboard and bacon was so-so. The oatmeal was homemade and was good! This breakfast cost $18.00 + tax. The second morning we ordered off the menu and was better choices getting fresh cooked food. My wife had omelet with hash browns and toast and I had eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and tomato slice and coffee. We both enjoyed these menu options!“

Parking: Sincé the bar is inside the hotel, you can Park at the front or at the parking lot next to the hotel, is like 2 min walk to the bar.
