“HI, I have to be honest. I was trying to find a way to contact Flappy Jacks as I have a proposition I think would be perfect for Flappy Jacks I have what is probably a bit of an unusual idea. Or maybe just a good idea. I know it is an unusual way to contact you but there was no email address. So I hope this works. I am from Columbia Missouri and I am visiting my Son, Grand Kids, and family there, just a few blocks to the East of Tustin. I am a musician, part time, and I like to street busk (play music on the streets) for grins. I noticed your nostalgic decor and your Elvis statues and the mural featuring the St Louis Arch, which is in Missouri on the Mississippi, of course, where I am from, and the 1930s, 40s and 50s nostalgia, and I wondered if you ever considered, or entertained the notion of having a little nostalgic live music, every now and then, perhaps even if only just once as an experiment. I just happen to play that old classic blues from that era, mostly, at least in this capacity, as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band. And I thought we might make a pretty good match up. As I said, at least, as an experiment. You can check me out at Facebook "Keith Fletcher, musician." Though most of that music is from my original music shows, and not my one man blues sets. I noticed you had a nice patio area where I could play outside and it might be a nice treat for your customers to have a bit of entertainment, just for a change of pace. They might really appreciate it since they obviously like your atmosphere. I don't play loud music. Unless folks want that, but I prefer to play soft. Or at least in situations like this. I've been the house band for BBQ joints and restaurants on several occasions. So I am familiar with the proper decorum. Mostly I was just looking for a little music adventure in CA within a walking distance of my Son's house, where I could carry a very tiny amp about the size of a cracker box, and my guitar to a gig. I thought maybe about just doing a street gig but saw your venue and something seemed to click. I hope you think so too. I estimate you are about a mile walking distance from his house and I only need an electrical plug. And probably some cool beverages. Like I said, I'm mostly in it for a small musical adventure, and so will play for tips, though, maybe you can pay me with free cold beverages, especially if it is hot, and maybe a sandwich or meal depending on how long I am there. It all looks delicious to me. If you find you'd like to host me again, and want me back, that might be possible over the week, and I may be back for the Christmas holiday. I might even be able to talk my Son into bringing the kids and family. Could be a total bust, or could be a very nice thing, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Who knows? If it worked out well enough for both of us, you might even want to do it again sometime, Maybe even offer some kind of fee next time, if there is a next time. Life is an adventure. You / we, might stumble onto something good. If you would like to give it a whirl, what day and time would you think is good to catch a crowd? “first time. lovely experience. everything was very good, but not extraordinary. the avocado toast was pretty bland, couldn’t taste the avocado or cream cheese. the turkish coffee was a surprise - i don’t usually drink black coffee unless it’s very good coffee, this one i could drink it black. loved the candy that came with the coffee. service was basic, more like neighborhood family restaurant style, and they both were on the quiet side. the decor was nice and chic, not so fancy. the place was clean and quiet. overall, it’s good but on the pricier end.“

“My wife & I have been eating at The Broken Yolk Cafe in Irvine for several years now and we absolutely love the delicious food and the wonderful service, particularly via our regular server Alicia. She has such a positive attitude and shares our love of dogs. She always makes sure to bring our dog Maizie a bowl of water and a pup cup whenever we go there. I cannot recommend this Broken Yolk location and Alicia enough.“

“I had chocolate chip pancakes and they were so good!! Their house made whipped cream is delicious. I had them make my western omelet into a scramble and it was amazing. The amount of food served is huge. I could only eat have of it. Warmed it up and ate it the next day. It was still delicious!! Worth the trip and money spent.“

“This was my first visit to Shorty'z and I was not disappointed.
The place was clean, the atmosphere was casual and was greeted promptly.
I ordered the Turkey Omelet which was recommended by Shorty himself. Very nice guy. Good recommendation. It was very good. The hash browns were cooked perfectly as well.
My Google maps said they are known for their breakfast burritos. I'll have to try that next time I visit Shorty'z.

“Came in to try the kimchi fried rice since the change in name and ownership. The food has all been improved and recipes tweaked a little bit. The new kimchi recipe is twice as good as before. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. All of the employees were nice and smiled when greeting us. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxing and bright atmosphere. I will definitely be back again.“

Came here on Grand Opening Day in the morning. Half and hour b4 opening time to get in line,

What I ordered

~ SPICY ROYAL WEST sandwich. It had bulgogi Patti and like a spicy mayo flavoring. Not spicy at all. Sandwich was delicious indeed especially the fluffy eggs the sandwich had.

Associates were friendly. And for a grand opening celebration. We got the food on a timely manner,

We ordered several breakfast
sandwiches and an avocado toast with egg. The brioche buns were really delicious very soft, fresh, and buttery. The eggs were cooked well and the sandwiches tasted great overall.
The avocado toast was okay, nothing special, but still decent. The place itself is clean, modern, and cozy, and the service was friendly and fast.
I would definitely come back for the sandwiches and recommend this place if you like brioche style breakfast sandwiches.“

“I’ve been here for breakfast but did you know they also have lunch options too?!!! I was excited to try them since I love all their breakfast stuff and I was definitely happy! Everything I had was 😋 yummy! They also had these canned popping boba drinks and that was a nice surprise, I got the Lychee one and would definitely buy it again.

“I have had The One Breakfast Burrito 3 different times now and each time I have been blown away! Now prior to this I wasn't into Breakfast burritos. They were either all half cooked hash browns and lot of eggs with little to no meat. Or all the ingredients like the meat and cheese were on one side and the eggs on the other ingredients were on the other side and dry with no consistency. I love The One Breakfast Burrito!! The ingredients are fresh and they way it is built you will have meat, eggs, tater tots, cheese and sauce in every bite! The tater tots gives this burrito a different texture and taste. The waiter was friendly and polite and very quick to take my order. I was served my breakfast very quickly and everything was cooked just right to my order. Food is tasty and fresh. Coffee is fresh also.

The tortilla almost seems homemade. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and delicious. Came down from the bay area to try them out. Going back for more. **Update, they open early, so if you are going to Disney, then this place is right down the street, just map it. Always great soft moist donuts. Vietnamese coffee, great and you can ask for it even stronger. Ask for the secret sauce. Low quantities of donuts at 11:00 am.“

“I live in AZ and come to Santa Ana to visit my daughter & her husband. We always come here for breakfast during my visit. We love this restaurant! On my last visit, I had a slight mishap in the parking lot. When we came in, Lulu took us quickly to a nearby booth. She was our server, and was wonderful! So very kind and helpful. The manager, Mauro, came over to me with an ice pack, which was very thoughtful and caring. Their food is fantastic, very delicious! Several members of the staff remember us and are so friendly! Will be going again very soon!“

“Honestly, I felt really bad walking in literally as soon as they opened but surprisingly I was treated and welcomed in with a smile!
You do have to wait outside tho so they can find a table for you, please make sure to leave your name in the paper with the exact number of group that you have if you have one.
The maximum group amount there is 6 since it's a smaller cafe/brunch restaurant.
I got sat down very fast the wait wasn't even a minute.
My server Lukas (with a K) was very helpful and friendly, the host as well was checking on me every once in a while along side Lukas. Great smile, great customer service.
I got the Bukowski Combo with turkey bacon (since I cannot eat bacon) which I was surprised they had to be honest +1 bonus points! I'm also very happy with the fact that the potato's are grilled not friend which is very easy on the stomach specially this early, I personally should've asked for it extra well but that's for next time! Eggs got them over easy which was SO DELICIOUS I might add. This was my first ever time trying the turkey bacon and it did not disappoint.
I also did get a black coffee but I drank that after the food.
Overall 11/10 experience, I will definitely be back.“

“It was honestly surprising how much fun and comfort I found inside the iHOP in Santa Ana, CA when I visited yesterday with a couple of teenagers I was hanging out with that day. The whole place had this warm, lively feeling to it that made it really easy to relax, talk, and enjoy the moment in a way that teenagers would definitely appreciate. I didn’t expect a restaurant to feel that welcoming, but something about the atmosphere made it feel like a spot where you could just be yourself without feeling rushed or out of place.

When we first got there, there were three of us, and we were already having a great time just talking, laughing, and enjoying our food. I noticed right away that there were a lot of other teenagers around the restaurant too, which made the whole place feel even more energetic and youthful. It’s the kind of environment where teenagers can hang out without feeling judged or pressured, and that alone makes it a really good place for them to spend time.

After about three hours, two out of the three teenagers I was with had to leave, but I stayed with the last one, and the two of us ended up hanging out for a total of four hours straight. I didn’t even realize how fast the time was going by because we were having such a good time just talking and enjoying the vibe of the place. It’s rare to find a restaurant where you can sit that long and still feel comfortable, but iHOP made it feel completely natural. I really appreciated that I never felt rushed or pushed to leave, even though we were there for a long time.

Even though it was a familiar restaurant to me, I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy about being there until I actually spent time inside it like that. The experience turned out exactly the way I hoped it would, and I never doubted that it would be a fun place to hang out. It reminded me how much I enjoy places that let you slow down and just enjoy being around people you like.

I’ve only been to that specific iHOP in Santa Ana one time before writing this review, but it honestly became one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable and comfortable places I’ve been to in a long time. I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place where they can hang out, talk for hours, enjoy good food, and feel completely at ease. It’s a great spot for creativity, connection, and just having a genuinely good time with people at the same exact stage of age as you.“
