“Some of the best North Indian food in OC. I always eat until I'm in a food coma here, it's that good. Fragrant and delicious paneer tikka masala and buttered naan are my recommendations to try here. The paneer fry and vegetable kabobs are a great starter, and pakoras. The restaurant also has ample space to use for hosting events and are very helpful in party/event planning!“

“Visited with in laws during our trip to socal this Easter break. I thought it was at the Irvine spectrum but it was closer to the industrial center and thus, easier parking (although may hard to find at first). I can tell this place is hectic during the business day lunch break. Order at the counter then wait for your food; ours was not a long wait on a Saturday at 4pm. Many options. Many many many! So take your time and be adventurous but always, always get the mint chuntney. Flavors will rock your socks off. I think this business model would lend itself to fast expansion like Cava or Chipotle so I wish all the best to the staff and ownership. Very approachable, easy to enjoy Indian food (albeit not maybe 100% authentic, but it’s still very satisfying)“

We were just visiting LA and our kids love to eat Indian food so we found this restaurant on google and landed here. The food was one of a kind .All the staff and the owner are very kind , polite and hospitable . The owner is very friendly and makes sure everyone is having a good time . I know where to go now if I am craving for an authentic Indian meal ?. If I was living in California , I would be here at least one day of the week . Food has true flavors of indian spices . “Their food is incredible. I went in during lunch one day and when I asked the waiter what the best dishes were he said everything is good and he was not kidding! Delicious food that felt super light without the inevitable food coma that often happens with indian restaurants. Felt like home cooked meals! We got Hakka noodles (11/10), chilli paneer (12/10), dosa (10/10), and papadi chaat (10/10). Looking forward to coming back for their buffet!“

The food was amazing and the mango lassi was delicious all was all you can eat at the buffet. The servers were friendly and brought naan and water and ensured we always had some. “Finally made it into this unassuming restaurant. They have a few tables and many ready-made curry dishes in a window by the cash register. You can also order food freshly made off the menu. However, I stick to the curries. They have a delicious variety of vegan and non-vegan curries! Do not worry first timers, if you're unfamiliar with a dish you can ask to sample it. Be prepared to enjoy everything though, it's really good. They don't skimp on your order either, I always have leftovers.“

“This past weekend, my brother invited my mom and I to eat at India Gate. It was my first time going, and I'm so glad I tagged along! The food was delicious, and I loved that they had so many options for those who are vegetarian. I'm personally not vegetarian, but my mom is so to see they had so many options for her was really nice. Not many restaurants cater to those who are vegetarian, but India Gate definitely does.I personally ended up eating more of the vegetarian options than the meat options and did not miss the meat one bit. The vegetarian options were just as satisfying, if not more satisfying than their meat filled counterparts.The fresh Naan was also SO delicious! It was fresh and so soft. It paired perfectly with all the food they had to offer. The best part is it's unlimited so you can have all the Naan your heart desires. I personally had a good couple of pieces and do not regret it one bit.To top off the delicious food, I had some of their mango pudding, which had mixed fruit in it. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already delicious meal. I have to admit, it was so good I had two servings of it. Sorry, not sorry. Once you taste it, you'll understand why I loved it so much. With that said, if you love Indian Food and are on the fence about trying India Gate, don't be. I say try it at least once. Entree is enough to feed 2 if not 3. Chicken momos were delicious! Extremely plump and juicy. I didn't love the sauce that came with it. It was tangy and felt a bit carbonated. The carbonation to it was a little off putting but the flavor was there. I hope that I didn't get served a bad batch so I'll assume that the sparklingness to it was intended.The rice was very aromatic and fluffy. Garlic naan was delicious! Very crispy in the outside with a generous portion of garlic and the inside was soft and perfectly chewy. I'd come here again! “Indian food that is done right. There are so many Indian restaurants that just never seem to get it right, but this place has the taste down. One tip to make you all stand out that I saw at a restaurant called Bollywood Dreams in Okinawa, Japan. They make Naan bread the size of an elephant ear and bring it out hanging on a hook to place in the center of the table for everyone to share by tearing pieces off. Each time we would order this, it would bring so much attention to our table because of how big it was. I have yet to see another restaurant do this.“
