“Great first impression. Tasting sauce of the spice level was great but then when I got my food, no sauce at all was ever put in my meal. But then when I got home and ate the food I was very surprised how great it all was! Very impressed after the whole sauce thing. I will definitely be going back for more!“
“NOTE: I've been dining at this local take-out location at least 5 times a year, for over 8 years. Also, the grocery section has a lot of imported items that is not easy to find elsewhere. This review is long-overdue. :-) Food: consistently good. It's as good as it's going to get in So.OC. The food offerings are fairly priced, considering the rising prices of groceries and operation cost of restaurant throughout the nation. I'm glad this take-out/grocery store was not affected by the pandemic; they remained opened and kept on going. Service: take-out staff is consistently friendly and helpful. The turn-around time from ordering to ready is pretty quick. Grocery area staff are always ready to help with questions you may have about their products. Ambience: Take out area have some dine-in tables and chairs. It can get crowded during the weekends, especially during popular dining hours. The grocery store have narrow aisle with LOTS of shelves, stuffed with mostly imported good, which is awesome. Overall: I will continue to come to Nina's for my convenient So.OC Indian food take-out and grocery needs.“
“Visited with in laws during our trip to socal this Easter break. I thought it was at the Irvine spectrum but it was closer to the industrial center and thus, easier parking (although may hard to find at first). I can tell this place is hectic during the business day lunch break. Order at the counter then wait for your food; ours was not a long wait on a Saturday at 4pm. Many options. Many many many! So take your time and be adventurous but always, always get the mint chuntney. Flavors will rock your socks off. I think this business model would lend itself to fast expansion like Cava or Chipotle so I wish all the best to the staff and ownership. Very approachable, easy to enjoy Indian food (albeit not maybe 100% authentic, but it’s still very satisfying)“
“A definite must try! Great food and easy to work with as they catered my wedding. Food was fresh and tasty. Great feedback from all my family and friends. Will for sure be going back to eat at the restaurant. Owners are very accommodating and will work with you to make your ideal menu for catering.“
“I'm not an Indian expert, but I can say for certain that nothing I've had here was disappointing at allThe butter chicken is especially good on Rice scooped up with a big piece of NaanKid-friendliness: They are so incredibly friendly with our boys every time we eat there - truly a welcoming atmosphere“
“Masala Bae offers a delightful solution for Indian food lovers on a budget. Their all-you-can-eat option provides excellent value without compromising on quality or variety. With a diverse selection of curries, including both meat and vegan options, every palate is catered to. The rich, flavorful curries burst with aromatic spices, delivering an authentic culinary experience. Don't miss out on pairing your curry with their delectable garlic naan, a perfect complement to the meal. And for dessert, indulge in their heavenly mango creations, reminiscent of a refreshing mango smoothie combined with creamy mango goodness. Masala Bae truly elevates the dining experience with their affordable yet delicious offerings.“
“This is the best Indian food I e had in a long time. Being in the military, I’ve gotten to try many variations of Indian Food. But this restaurant provides a unique taste that still give the presentation and flavor of traditional cuisine! Take the whole family.“
“You know that type of family that you dread coming to visit you but you have to be nice to them because they only visit once every few years? Yeah... I made the mistake of bringing a family member here yesterday. She was so rude to the waiter. The waiter was wonderful, answered all of our questions, helped with recommendations, and checked up on us often. And even when the family member in question was rude to the waiter and kept trying to show him pictures of a restaurant she visited overseas on her phone. The waiter very politely viewed her photos and described the dishes she had eaten. The waiter was very professional! The food was amazing and it was a good amount of food for the price. They have vegetarian options and meat options for us carnivores. The restaurant was empty since this restaurant is hidden from street view but it is worth the trip. I know I will be ordering from here more often and leaving that rude family member at home. Thank you to the cooks and the staff at this restaurant! You are all amazing! Great food, quiet environment, and professional staff. The dessert was also very tasty! Fresh mango and vanilla pudding. Delicious! They also have take-out and a huge menu to choose from. Don't skip out on this place! Leave the mean family members at home and eat here.“
“The goat Bryanni was the best Bryanni in my life I highly recommend it ! It's very authentic homemade taste and not greasy and it doesn't make you sleepy afterwards. very very very very goooood!!!!! I will be back again for sure ((:“

“The food was delicious! I took my entire family to try the different kinds of biryanis and everyone loved the flavor, aroma and taste of them. It can be a little spicy for folks who don't eat it and the staff here are really considerate of that. This place is a must visit for anyone who likes biryani.“
“Incredible, fresh, and flavorful Indian cuisine! You can taste the quality and the care that goes into preparing these dishes. Had a lovely dinner here with my mom and had a wonderful time at this place. Even the dishes the food was served were beautiful. The service was fabulous and friendly. Do yourself a favor and try it for yourself - especially the carrot pudding - you’re welcome!“
“Did I just land in Mumbai? Basanti is as real as it gets. My local hangout and could eat here everyday - sometimes hitting this place up 3-4x per week (I’m not the only one - the number of Uber Eats guys who show up at dinner time is insane and at times, I’m the odd one out in a restaurant full of Mubaians). This place holds it own in a smaller community with no shortage of restaurants and located on the other side of the railroad tracks, literally, where many tourists venture/land given the train station and location of Mission SanJuan. Everything cooked to order (love that I can hang with the locals - authentic staff - and handle the same, if not more spice then they especially for a white chick from the Midwest) including no spice for little people, like my twin grandkids who devour the buttered naan and tandoori chick. The owner, first generation (I think) and the nicest most humble guy (he recognized me at another San Juan hangout then bought my glass of wine) just wants you to have the most pleasurable dining experience enjoying cuisine he’s passionate about. My favs: buttered naan, roasted beet salad, lentil soup, and chicken korma, extra spice. The world’s a big place so get out there…or at least venture to the other side of the train tracks or even stay home (#ubereats) and reap the same benefits of good food and good company!“
“This past weekend, my brother invited my mom and I to eat at India Gate. It was my first time going, and I'm so glad I tagged along! The food was delicious, and I loved that they had so many options for those who are vegetarian. I'm personally not vegetarian, but my mom is so to see they had so many options for her was really nice. Not many restaurants cater to those who are vegetarian, but India Gate definitely does.I personally ended up eating more of the vegetarian options than the meat options and did not miss the meat one bit. The vegetarian options were just as satisfying, if not more satisfying than their meat filled counterparts. The fresh Naan was also SO delicious! It was fresh and so soft. It paired perfectly with all the food they had to offer. The best part is it's unlimited so you can have all the Naan your heart desires. I personally had a good couple of pieces and do not regret it one bit.To top off the delicious food, I had some of their mango pudding, which had mixed fruit in it. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already delicious meal. I have to admit, it was so good I had two servings of it. Sorry, not sorry. Once you taste it, you'll understand why I loved it so much. With that said, if you love Indian Food and are on the fence about trying India Gate, don't be. I say try it at least once. I'm sure you won't be disappointed by the food or service. The establishment itself isn't anything fancy, but the food is SO good, I could care less. The restaurant may not be Instagram worthy, but the food sure is. There was not one thing I tried that I didn't like. Every single thing was delicious. I highly recommend it.And for $15.99 per person for all you can eat, you cannot complain! Their price is an amazing price for an all you can eat establishment. I definitely recommend checking it out at least once, and yes, I know I'm repeating myself at this point, but it's SO good, I must insist everyone try it at least once. Just once. You won't regret it. Try it and you can thank me later. ;)P.S. I have no pics because the food was SO good, I forgot to take pics. Next time, I'll definitely make an effort to take pics, because there will for sure be a next time and I cannot wait for it!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and all are delicious!!“
“Everything about Natraj was five star. The food, service, attention to special requests was A-1. The garlic naan and onion kulcha absolutely delicious. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. I wish I would have gotten our waitperson's name. He went above and beyond in his respect and attention to my elderly mother and her friend. we will definitely be back.“
“The food was so delicious and the environment was welcoming but what made it even more special were the two servers that were working on Tuesday April 9th 2024. It was the last day of Ramadan and my family and I came here for dinner to break our last fast of the month. The two servers were exceptional with their friendly and kind service. The owner is lucky to have such great workers. I never got the chance to get their names but I do know one of them is from Nepal. They really made us feel special and it made our meal taste so much better. Thank you for the best service you could ask for at an Indian restaurant all thanks to the two servers who went out of their way to make it special for us. Natraj is lucky to have you both on their team.“
“Despite its fast-casual setup, this is one of my favourite places to order Indian food. The chicken biryani is delicious with fragrant basmati rice and juicy chicken chunks. I also like the bite-sized and large versions of the crunchy samosas. I'm a huge fan of street food, and Curry Up Now does it best.“
“Great place for Indian food, I tried different dishes here my favorite one is fried rice and thali. Prices are reasonable and service is good. South Indian menu is also delicious. Parking is never a problem but in peak hours you may need to park a bit away from restaurant.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly.“
“For all Indian food lovers, come try this delicious Indian cuisine. For $17.95 all you can eat buffet everyday from 11am to 7 pm.Excellent food very fresh and I highly recommend. They have the highest rating in Orange County. Their chicken tikka and chicken masala are very good. Also I love the tandoori chicken.Give it a try you’ll be back again.“
“Visited this place over the weekend for lunch. We ordered paneer makhni and malai kofta with their bread platter. The curries were delicious. It usually comes with the rice, so if anybody likes to eat curries with rice, the good thing is that you do not have to order it separately. It is run by a couple and they are really warm and friendly. It was a bit empty for weekend lunch time, but then we went late around 1pm, so not sure if that was the reason. They do have a good variety of vegetarian options on the menu and will surely visit them again.“
“Saturday was my first time trying the food here. Overall it was pretty good. I did the lunch combo that came with two entrees and rice with a side of bread. They do charge an upcharge for the garlic bread. I highly suggest just getting the regular bread and ordering a side of garlic bread because then you get double the bread for the price of the upcharge. The food overall was great... if you are in the mood for Indian food or something with curry then definitely hit this place up.“
“It's a reasonable lunch for the price. It's a cute buffet and although it doesn't have a lot of variety, the food is delicious. The naan was so delicious. You can park right in front and to the side without any problems. Lunch is from 11:00am to 2:30pm and costs $17.95. There is only one outdoor magnet... If the weather is warm, the shade of the trees is a good place^^“
“Great food and reasonable prices! Lunch buffet was $16.95 when I went today on a Saturday. Buffet included standard Indian lunch buffet options that were very tasty. Lots of really good vegetarian options! Most were not spicy, but the ones that are spicy are not labeled so be sure to ask about spice levels if you can't tolerate spice. Their rice pudding was very "watery" at first glance, but it turns out they just use a lot of milk/cream instead of water (plus a lot of other things like cashrews and raisins!), so it was actually very delicious. Waitstaff were very nice. Their dinner entrees are good too, and reasonably priced. Some of their entrees look small at first since since they serve them in bowls, but it's actually deep bowl containing a sizable portion. The only "problem" is finding the restaurant is somewhat hard since it's tucked away behind two shopping plazas, so it's easy to miss.“
