“honestly we were just craving italian and this place popped up. the moment we walked in it smelled so good i knew we were in for something special.

i got the lasagna and it was exactly what i wanted, super cheesy and hearty. my friend had the chicken parm and she said it was perfect even the pasta on the side was cooked right. the service was super friendly too our waiter was patient when we took forever to decide.

we sat outside and it was chill even on a busy night. the whole meal felt like a cozy sunday dinner at someones home.

I felt I didnt5 leave as much as I sgould have, I'm sorry. Really awesome and welcoming. Haven't been here since I was a kid. Totally fun for the nostaliga love. The salad bar was awesome, glad to see it open again. Good prices for everything as well. Life you get tons of healthy options here! They still have the cheese toast! That was my treat with the salad. The food is good and simple. Perfect spot for picky eaters, I saw plenty of kids getting food and actually eating it.”

That green sauce is obviously made in house and done right. The ceviche isn’t the prettiest I’ve eaten, but ranks high in the yum factor. Definitely a restaurant worth another visit.”

I had the carne asada tacos, my go-to for taco shops. These were not your regular street tacos. They are full of meat and made with care, balanced with added ingredients to create a tasteful taco.
I called my order ahead, so I could do a quick pickup on the run. The owner was very friendly and offered the entire array of sauce selections. The freshly, homemade house sauce is the best. A little spicy but really flavorful.
Parking was not a problem bbut appeared to be limited. The shops along the mini mall have a quick turnover, so it appears to work. Seems to be ample spots to park.
The cost is very affordable and priced for return business. I think I'll try one of the burritos next visit.

There’s a lot of Mediterranean food that is good here in Lake Forest, but for a medium fast speed spot, this is one I would visit again.”

The food is very flavorful. There was an assortment of taquitos, flautas and mini burritos to try, plus fresh guacamole, always a good choice. The buffet style arrangement also had iced tea and horacha, which I had heretofore not tasted and it was incredibly delicious.
The family-run restaurant has a personal flare and a faithful commitment. It has been a local favorite for decades and now it's got a fresh start.”

“There was a bad smell in the corner where we had to sit and it was little overpriced for what was being served and the desserts was not that great but all in all it filled our tummies and most of the food was good. Their chicken wings tasted great and their noodles and beef broccoli. Kids liked the general tos chicken and rice hubby enjoyed the muscles and crab legs and fried rice. We would eat here again if prices wasn't so high. But we are from NC and may not be use to the the buffet prices in California.”

The chef was friendly and gave clear instructions and encouragement to the children. The children had the chance to learn the process and also be exposed to different ingredients. Bring on adult sessions too I say! It worked really well at 3pm, clearly a lull in diners so it was really quiet and I think the customers in actually enjoyed listening and watching- it didn't seem to disturb them. To help only feed back I would give is a need for some napkins on the table and to encourage participants to wash their hands before as I didn't feel we had time to go and do that before instructions began. Host was really friendly and welcoming.”

This is highly recommended but save room for dessert. The meals are hearty and the mango and sticky rice are plentious.
Service is excellent and helpful.
The atmosphere is very authentic with the ongoing elephant theme throughout.”

“Nothing is better than fresh croissant! Great family owned place. Very friendly prices. Signature Butter Croissants baked daily. The taste is balances, very mild sweet as I like, texture is between the super fluffy croissant and the bun, I really liked it. The chocolate croissant was a totally different story, check the picture. The taste was like it was baked sometime this week :) and the texture was like it is a bun with chocolate. So do not expect the same excitement from their chocolate croissant as from their signature plain croissants, which are super awesome and could be used for French toast and sandwiches as well and any filling. Next time I will take fresh plain croissant and fill it with chocolates home :) Next time we will try their breakfast / lunch menu. It looks awesome and the customers I met were happy. Update: amazing place with unique home character, loving breakfast here”

“I took advantage of Arby’s $1 shake with purchase meal deal they have going on through Arby’s Rewards. I originally wanted to get curly fries but with the coupon I had to spend at least $10, so I decided to try their new Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich with curly fries and a chocolate shake.

I would definitely try this new sandwich again! The meat and barbecue sauce tasted REALLY good! Their curly fries were on point. I think the milkshake made my stomach hurt a bit, I noticed there was an excess of chocolate sauce at the bottom. But overall, I would try it again (the sandwich).”

The brown sugar sticky rice dessert was crunchy on the outside and soft inside, which was great. I came back to order more food the second morning when it just opened. The cashier wasn’t there. The kitchen staff came to help me. They were friendly and apologetic and offered us water and extra food while we waited for our order. I liked popcorn chicken. The pan fried pork buns were juicy. Overall, the food and the experience were great. I’d come back to try more food.”

“Such a great find! I tried the Yemeni latte and it was fantastic — beautiful aroma from the cardamom and cinnamon, generous size, and not overly sweet like some spiced lattes can be. I also got the honeycomb bread with cheese filling and a honey drizzle, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a really generous portion too.

What stood out most was how authentic the whole experience felt — you can tell they're staying true to Yemeni flavors and traditions rather than watering things down. Will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!”

Experience:
- Braised Beef Noodle Soup had flavorful and tender beef that was delicious! Had the almost melt in your mouth experience. Be aware that even for a mild, it was spicy. So if you don’t like any spicy at all, this is not a dish to get.
- Yunnan rice noodle bridge was nice to see how it is all setup before you put everything into the bowl of soup. It is very hot so be cautious especially if you have little ones. The soup, noodles and fixings were good. My little one liked the soup and noodles so much that he had almost a whole bowl by himself (he’s only 3.5 yo).
- Free dessert in the stainless steel container by where the eating utensils are. Option was limited with just aiyu jelly and oranges.
- Service was friendly and food was served in a reasonable time.”

“I ordered the Red Braised Tofu With Shiitake Mushroom. I’ve never really ordered something like this but I wanted to try something new. Omg!! It was delicious. The second I smelled it, I knew I was gonna love it. It’s very very soft and smooth tofu cubes in one of the most delicious sauces I’ve ever had. The texture of the tofu and the flavor of the sauce hit exactly the right spot. So good!!! And eating it with a side of white rice makes it even better.

Also, I loved how the restaurant was decorated. It was so cute.

One very very small thing: for take out orders, I wish the forks were not so small and flimsy. But that’s not a big deal.”
